Mela Indian Sweets & Eats - Indian Restaurant in Perth reviews
70 The curries at Mela are delicious and their paneer is the best I've had. My table ordered the vegetarian banquet and the only thing that disappointed was how I didn't have enough room in my stomach to eat more! The banquet came with free refills on the curries so it was excellent value. The leftovers tasted just as good for lunch the next day!
I normally get the vegetarian thali to takeaway, which is also excellent value. Dining in was great because we got to eat piping hot fresh naan.
Excellent and very delicious food
Great customer service
We will definitely go back there
Nice and well prepared.
Good range of vegetarian options.
Toilets are quite messy but because the food is good, 4 stars
We had a friend who recommended this glutten-free restaurant in Perth and no regrets the food at Mela Indian was a great value for money and very tasty.
I was at mela this evening 11/1/23 with my wife, ordered two masala dosai and two lemon soda, the Dosa was burnt, the potato very dry and tasted like old, I ordered an extra sambar, I was charged for this, most other dosa joints give extra sambar free of charge, charging is all good as long as it doesn’t taste like dishwasher liquid,
Unfortunately the waitress was very unprofessional, looked liked straight from the ship, Australia demands more customer satisfaction, unlike some other places
I haven't been here for some years and, on returning, was pleased to see that the restaurant has been spruced up with a new floor, new tables and chairs, etc. It has a nice modern feel to it. Service was excellent and the improvement in the food was most impressive. I have had both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian thalis. Both versions had a variety of generous portions with garlic, bread, rice and a dessert. There is also an interesting street food section in the menu. The food was flavoursome and filling. I like the improvements made to this restaurant and look forward to a future visit. Also, it's open for lunch which many Indian restaurants are not.
Mela was our go to restaurant for dinner during 3 night stay in Perth. We loved the food here and we would definitely come back when we visit Perth again. Highly recommended.
Ordered lamb rogan josh and butter chicken. They were terrible. Do not bother with here. Just awful!
Very bad experience. Was in city for work trip and wanted some good Indian food but disappointed big time.
1. Too spicy, especially when ordered extremely mild.
2. Mint sauce was off
3. Found a piece of plastic in keema naan.
Warning ️ eat at your own risk.
One of the best restaurant in perth.
Such a beautiful environment, customer services 10/10.
And food is so delicious.
Must visit once, you guys gonna love it definitely. ️
I am highly recommended Mela their service is excellent! I would like to thank you the lady who was assisting my non english speaking parent to order!
My parent were really enjoy the food Thank you so much!
It was worst experience we had yesterday, my little one got allergic around his mounth after eating Afghan chicken, Within few minutes. Me and my husband got food poison and we both faced serious struggle throughout the day and today.
Absolutely delicious food! The chef is fantastic. The food is always fresh, flavourful, and authentic.
One of the best tandoori chicken in Perth. Your naan basket is too good and kadhai paneer is next level. Thank you for serving such nice food.
Very enjoyable meal with very pleasant staff, thank you. Good ambience, good atmosphere although quiet because of restrictions, but still very good.
Worst service ever! Waiter said food will take 10 minutes and waited for 1 hour. Even after 1 hour, the order was messed up!
Terrible.
By far the worst Indian restaurant I have ever been to. Service by the male staff was terrible; serving the food with a frown and lazily walking around the restaurant whilst breaking several glasses when clearing the table.
Food was not consumable and extremely greasy. The curries were overly sweet and the naan breads and poori were so oily and tough. It was that terrible to the extent that we couldn’t take a second bite. It felt like such a waste of money and the food is definitely not worth its price.
An extremely disappointing and disgusting experience. Would never order food in this restaurant ever and definitely not recommend this to anyone.
The best papdi chaat! Tastiest samosas. Their hot and spice chutney/ sauce is a delight! Affordable prices, huge portions!
The food was nice, however the service was awful.we waited 30 minutes to have our order taken and over an hour to be served (there were only 3 tables to be served throughout the restaurant with a maximum of 3 people each). They were kind of rude and it had zero ambiance in the restaurant.they had tables stacked with dirty dishes and didn't remove them but instead placed more dirty dishes on top.there were leaves and dirt everywhere in the restaurant.
Ordered uber. After an hour and a half and after following up with the restaurant, was informed that they would call back but the order was cancelled. Very unprofessional. Would give zero stars if possible.
