Excellent place for pertfect furnitures. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The price was very competitive and delivery was on schedule and efficient. Excellent service and good quality product, especially for the price.

I should have seen the warning signs when I walked into the showroom and all the staff seemed annoyed that I was there. Virginie was reasonably short when serving me but that's OK, however the quoted delivery time of approx 1 day turned out to be more like 1 month. No courtesy calls or emails back during this time. I called for an update to find no progress, again, no calls back. I then escalated and demanded a refund. Again, no action or followup. I called again only to hear there had been no progress again, however they now promised to process the credit on the spot, which they did. To be honest, this did occur on the lead up to Christmas but what a complete break down of communications, procedures and general professionalism of staff. The only saving grace is that the product they were charging me $25.00 for, I later found for $8.95. I suppose I can thank McLernons for something.

I Ordered one shelving unit via their website and was surprised when finding out it takes 10days for the order to be processed and moved from one location in Perth to another in Perth.

Picked up the order onsite after finally getting attention from one member of staff who actually helped.

Took the order home to find the order was incorrect.
Organising replacements was relatively easy via email.

Gave them the benefit of the doubt and decided to purchase the remaining parts to make 2 full shelving units only to be met with a quote that was more expensive than purchasing the whole shelving again. Sales staff very useless.

Overall dissatisfied by their admin staff, Warehouse staff and salesman particularly. Not sure who’s running the place.

I recommend using any other company.

Took three weeks to delivery my work bench. When it was delivered one of the end frames was all bent up, unusable. When I contacted them they informed me that there weren't any end frames in stock and I would have to wait an additional two weeks. I wasnt happy with this wait so they offered a refurbished end frame which I was okay with. When it arrived it was taller than the one they replaced it with. Would not recommend.

Very disappointed that I had to wait over 2 weeks for a quote to remove 20 partitions only to be quoted $27,000. What a Joke! Then I asked to speak to someone in charge only to be told by the National Sales Manager that she was the boss. I would love to talk to somebody other than the hopeless sales manager. I actually had the works completed by a more professional outfit for $1,600.00. Big Difference to these jokers!

How this business is still operating successfully is beyond me. Having read all the reviews I totally agree with the extremely poor customer service offered here. I wanted to purchase 2 pedestal filing cabinets, and as I live 140+ klm from this warehouse I decided to engage in the live chat option to ask what the freight costs would be. Well over an hour had taken place and I still did not know what the freight cost would be. I actually phoned the office to ask if “Janelle” the live chat person has gone home for the day! Nope, she was still at work and I was then directed to “Connor” who I then asked the same question re freight costs to South West. He told me that he would find out and let me know in the morning! Another 48 hours later I still have not received that phone call I’ve was waiting for re freight costs!
I cannot call this customer service at all.and I really struggle to give this place 1 as they don’t deserve it. All I can say now is I’ve found a business closer to home and they’ll be getting my business.
Please, don’t waste your time dealing with this company!

Initial visit to purchase office furniture and supplies was pretty good! We were not approached to check if we needed hep for some time but once we were the lady (Janelle) was helpful, friendly and patient with us. Unfortunately, this positive start cannot outweigh the rest of our disappointing experience. The after service support was atrocious.

Amongst other items, we purchased two office chairs ($329ea - Matrix medium back). We put these together at home ourselves. The first was great! The second chair however, the tilt mechanism would not lock into place and would tip the seat forward anytime you sat on it.

When I called up to discuss how to fix this chair or arrange a replacement I was treated terribly. I was first asked quite rudely if I had put it together right and I explained it was the 2nd I built and the 1st was fine but this did not change the tone or response form the sales lady (Janelle again). I explained the issue was in the pre-assembled mechanism not a part we built. This was brushed aside and I was told bluntly that they never have issues with these chairs so she can't understand how I could have an issue if I assembled it correctly. I asked if they were able to pick it up to inspect and repair or replace but was told I would have to bring it back in and they would replace it. I agreed and asked if the replacement could be assembled so I didn't have to spend more time rebuilding another chair and to dispose of all the packaging waste (there is a lot!). The lady told me they could assemble it but I would have to pay the $12 assembly fee! I mentioned I thought that was a bit unfair if it is a fault with the product and not an error by myself and she agreed to free assembly.

I returned to the store at the shop entry where a salesman collected my invoice and directed me to the warehouse. I thought an employee would take a look at the chair and confirm it was faulty. Instead, it was pulled from the boot of my car and a replacement box shoved in by warehouse staff before I could even speak to anyone. No sales person spoke to me again and I never got my invoice returned to me. I explained to the warehouse person that it was supposed to be assembled and he told me he was not instructed to assemble it but I could take it up with the sales lady I had been dealing with but I would also have to come back in a week to collect it if I did want it assembled. I was very disappointed! I took the chair home and assembled it myself the same as I had with the first two. I had no issues with this chair, the tilt mechanism worked fine and it is very comfy.

Overall, I feel like the situation was handled very poorly, the sales lady was rude and unempathetic, and it was a very unpleasant and disappointing experience for us. I would not recommend Mclernons to anyone.

Fantastic! Ordered some new shelving on Friday - Received it on Tuesday as promised. Phoned a sales person for advise on what works together, website was easy to use - What more could you want!

I bought an office table and chair. The sales and delivery personal were friendly but the whole service and product quality is sub-par.

Had to follow up on delivery status after 3 days; else might not have heard from them.

When the delivery came in- it was the wrong desk, without a box or descent packing (forget instructions). There weren’t any bolts either!
The rep acknowledged that they screwed up and organised a re-deliver; which was quick.

However the table base had paint chipping and filled with scratches as if it was a used one. I took really long to assemble as the make was poor; even I had to use a drill to open the screw/bolt holes. The cable holes on the slab were positioned awkwardly forcing me to screw it to the base going out of alignment.

For claiming to be a office furniture supplier- I was terribly let down as the most basic product and service failed; apart from the price which was comparatively higher. Seems like they haven’t got their basics right.
Would have been better off with Ikea/Officeworks!

I do not recommend this company or their products.

Poor service. Ordered some office furniture online and did not hear anything from them except an order confirmation. Phoned a week later to find out there was no stock and it was coming from over East. Took 3 weeks to get my order with no phone calls or messaging. I had to keep chasing them - really poor communication. No communication around delivery either, just lucky I called on the day to chase to find out they were going to deliver (lets see if it arrives)

I placed a call on the Australia Day long weekend which was taken by Janelle. She talked me thru my needs, making a suggestion on a shredder that would suit my needs. Little did I know Janelle was at the beach in WA, with no computer in front of her. She operated from her product knowledge. I emailed back placing the order which arrived on time and is working to her expectation, exceeding mine. It's not just fantastic service, it is the act of taking the call, providing the info on your day off and at the beach. How good is Janelle. The hidden truth is that the sharks were prowling, Janelle came out of the water to take my call, and so I probably saved her life. Janelle you owe me.
All in all 11 out of 10.
I cannot speak more highly of the service provided by this lady, and, she has a great sense of humour.
The machine I purchased was a Fellowes 99CI.

My mum attended Business Base’s warehouse to collect a large order we were seen straight away by Jack and loaded by Mat and Nakia who loaded our trailer and helped secure the load. Excellent service.
