McCallum Park reviews
66 Large park and open space on the bank of the south side of the Swan River.
They have plenty of free parking close by. Playgrounds, sheltered areas and courts for playing sports.
Nice place to stop for a picnic and enjoy the view of the city and river.
I met friends there to have a BBQ lunch and then went home all up good walking from Victoria Park bus transfer
It's beautiful good facilities and picnic area, great view of the City sunset and just nice to watch the birds, ducks and swans.
Why turn the lights off at 9? But keep the rest of the park and the construction next to the courts brightly lit?
Amazing sport near the city and along the Riverside. It has some great basketball courts which are a beauty to play under the lights at night. A must visit for all families and also for a good basketball session.
It's big, it's green, it's by the mighty Swan, there are b ball courts, bmx set up, outdoor gym stuff, nice cycling paths, picnic facilities, Frisbee course. Listen up peoples, this is a glorious inner-city park.
Perhaps because I went there during a winter night, it was dark and cold! I believe if it’s a warm day, the river sceneries should be very pleasant!
Love this area, walk, picnic, walk dogs, exercise, river, evening chill.
Really recommend and free parking
Is a beautiful park to go at any time during the day. To go for a walk, picnics, sightseeing the city! Great location along the river.
Ive loved McCallum Park for at least 30 years. It's spacious, shady and being right on the Swan River just makes it perfect.
It could do with a few more bench seats but other than that it's still a favourite of mine.
Dogs are left to roam freely and the basket ball courts were playing obscene rap musics unsuitable for children to be around. There are no fences and no locks so if you are looking for a place to hangout after dark.
Brilliant show really enjoyed it. Lots to see and nice that there were loads of accessary tents
Beautiful park by the Swan river. A perfect place to exercise or to simply watch the kids playing. Would be great if there are public toilets, or if the footpath/cycling track lights can be kept on a bit more often. Too sad it was too dark sometimes. Not sure if that's too much to ask for.
McCallum Park is a lovely place to go and have a picnic. Plenty of grassed areas and trees for shade and walking paths for exercise right near the water. My only gripe is the toilets were closed with only 1 handicapped one open for everyone to use. So there was a line up. I am assuming this is because on the few occasions we have been there there has been some pretty undesirable people hanging around the toilet facilities. So people with children take care. If that is the case with the main toilets being shut and the council know about it, then they should have a ranger or security doing patrols. Apart from that I really enjoy the park.
Nice spacious green area near the river.
Enjoyed using the exercise machines
Good space for families
It's a great place for everyone, young and old, especially those who want to have fresh air along the separated walkways and cycle paths.
The scenic views along the way were magnificent overlooking the Perth City skylines with consistent human flow, be they walking, cycling or any other forms of using the cycle paths.
We walked from McCallum Park carparks to Taylor Reserve and then turned back to McCallum Park directly to Charles Paterson Park, and then walked under the bridge onto Burswood Walk to arrive in Burswood Park, and then walked back!
It was a beautiful walk with cool breeze and beautiful sunset by the time we reached our car.
Plenty of parking and there's a path right on the river with great views. Toilets could be upgraded and there's always a few dogs running amok but worth a visit.
Absolute rip-off nothing much to look at we had to pay for parking on the way out very disappointing will never go again.
The foreshore walk along South Perth is simply amazing. Lots of people out and about enjoying the sunshine.
Very refreshing place to be weather being good of cause. Vast open space to walk around and along the waters. Beautiful place well maintained and very clean.
