Mass-Age

Today I had a massage at Mass-Age and unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience. The therapist seemed to have a different approach than what I was expecting from a deep tissue massage to help release a locked shoulder & overall muscular pain in an all body massage. Despite my requests for a gentler touch, she continued with a level of pressure that wasn’t only uncomfortable, it was constantly excruciatingly painful. Additionally, there were moments where I felt the therapist's techniques crossed the line into physical assault. A few examples of this are continually refusing & holding me down when I asked them to stop to adjust grip & strength used, they repeatedly jumped on me using all their body weight with there knees & elbows, making it feel like I was being bashed by multiple people) & most of all there was no warm up to the a disorganised fashion & did not work on my body in an even & balance pattern/manner, it was aggressive.

As a result, I left the session feeling more pain than I had initially and somewhat traumatised by the experience. I have been physically ill with gastro problems since leaving the facility & have swelling & bruising appearing on my back, not like your typical aches & pains after a standard massage. I feel disgusted after reading other reviews that they do not have properly educated people & this business is a genuine risk to society & is clearly providing an unethical service.

Have been there with my partner few times, never got disappointed for the service.
If you do need a better treatment for the sore muscles this will be the one.

This place is AMAZING Sandy is brilliant. From the moment you walk in and get greeted by the man at the front right to the very end. Do yourself a favour and go pamper yourself.

A1 The owner is highly experienced and extremely good at his job. He is so amazing. I turned into a floppy dolly in the chair and really knew what he was doing! I only come to this mssge place from here onwards. His massage compared to all other shopping centre 10min 10 dollar just doesn't compare. And with prices as they are I am more that happy to pay this man its well worth it. It categorises other masge shopping centre deals as average. Don't pay top dollar is they are not highly experienced. Kingsway Shops. Love it not sure what his name is but he's excellent.def 5 star x

Always come out fully relaxed and all knots out and migraines gone. Going thru cancer so they are also gentle where needed. Have been going to this place for a few years now 10/10

Always have a great massage here. Normally just a neck and shoulder, they get those knots out every time.

Wipa, from start to finish was amazingly professional, I felt incredibly looked after and comfortable.

Left today very confused we came in for an hour shoulder neck and back massage the lady climbed on our backs hurt my lower back. Knowing I was very tender in my lower back kept rubbing had stop her as it was too painful spend so much time touching arms and legs my head was being scratched and the amount of oil used was just insane 2 people at $90 each completely was a waste

This was my first time getting a massage and it was amazing experience. I was having a bad migraine for 3 days, so I decided to get the the neck + shoulder massage. At the end, my migraine was completely gone. I will definitely come back.

Not a bad massage but my health fund did not recognise them so they never contributed to payment. I am with NIB.

I was very dissapointed with my remedial massage yeaterday. All she did was my shoulder and my neck for an hour, and my neck is
in pain now, i did not tell them that i need massage for my neck but she just concentrated on my neck.i felt like i was beaten by ten persons after the massage. I will never come back again ever.

Remedial massage was anything but. Have bruises and pain. Went back to discuss and was a waste of time. DO NOT recommend and think these people are not qualified in certain areas. No apology from them and somehow the bruising and pain is my fault - wow. As someone famouse once said.do yourselves a favour.stay away.

My go-to for massages in the area
As with anywhere, there are some staff who are better than others, but if you are clear with what you need help with, I've always been satisfied.

Very happy with the service here. I used to travel to the city, but since finding these guys I don't have to any more. I get one of the best massages I've ever had here with Pina. Prices are reasonable. Really good set-up for foot massages etc.much nicer setup than the majority of the other massage places.

I had to wait 20 min for the massage and after that they sent a guy telling me everyone was busy so either I do it with him or I have to wait another 20min for someone to finish, after wait they sent me a lady that didn't speak no English at all and didn't even know what she's doing and she was really bad.

I go here every week. Very good service! Pina is excellent! I ask to book with her every week. There are many other terrific massage therapists here too!

The worst massage I have ever had. Clearly not all staff at this clinic are certified as this girl had no idea what she was doing. She massaged one shoulder blade for at least 15 minutes, then 5 minutes on the other one. She would put oil on my legs and arms but then cover me with a towel and massage through the towel? It wasn’t even a massage she squeezed and pinched me and it just hurt. She even massaged quite hard on my lower back bone and elbow bone which really hurt and I had to tell her to stop. A waist of an hour and $70 down the drain.

My husband & I went for a 45 minute massage & were in the rooms next to each other. Before starting I told the girl several times that I wanted the massage not to strong, she did start off that way but then proceeded to get quite firm, I asked her to be more gentle which was ignored. What angered me more than that was the girls who were doing our massages were talking to each other in Thai & laughing constantly which is very rude & unprofessional. In the area behind the reception desk there is a sign which says ‘QUIET ZONE’. Maybe the staff should be made to obey this rule.

Just got a massage from Olivia - highly recommend! I've been to so many massage places and sports remedial massage therapists and this was the best massage I've received in a long time. Thank you so much!

Went there with a headache and neck and shoulder pain. Lady did good massage, firmer when I asked. Later my pain and headache gone. If I didn't come here.would of stayed with me all day. Good massage! If u don't want them kneeling on your back, just say so. It was good for me.my muscles need firm pressure. I'll go back. Good prices too.
