Marrinup Campsite reviews
29Ten dollars per person per night, Long drop toilets.no water, some open area and shaded areas.
Spend time with my son and his family at the campsite. Its quite nice but a bit crowded as their doesn't seem to be much control over number of campers. Also very irritated by the number of barking dogs at the campsite
We originally tried Nanga mill but that was absolutely full to the brim so we went on to Marrinup. The top area was completely full when we pulled in but we noticed a gap to get into the lower area and from there we found small secluded clearings. The one we were in wasn't overly flat but we managed. The whole place is on a slope and very rocky. There was 2 long drops that we found. Very cold at night but that's what you get for camping in August
Great bike trails with a shorter option for the kids that are learning. Everyone is friendly that we see there. There is also a toilet there.
Awesome 4wdriving and campsite, they have drop dunnys, cost is like $8 per night, rangers are friendly, heaps of 4x4ing to do and 4wd tracks everywhere
My partner and I wanted somewhere nice to stay for an overnighter with no kids in tow, so we tried Nanga Mill with no luck. We gave Dwellingup Visitors Centre a call and let them know we are looking for a nice spot to camp with our Caravan, the lovely lady mentioned Marrinup Camp grounds and gave us directions over the phone.
We headed out there and what a lovely spot to Camp up in spring very green and the native flowers were still out and the weather was perfect and my partner and I had a nice chilled and relaxed time by the fire.
There seems to be only one long drop that we came across while we went for a walk.
If you enjoy bike riding with the kids there is plenty of gravel tracks to follow as well as mountain bike tracks.
Your pets are more than welcome to join the family as long as they are on a lead at all times.
Very basic camp sites with no power, water or toilets. This is a first come first serve site that fills up quickly on long weekends, however there are a lot of sites.
Very close to Dwellingup (great public toilet and shower block at the visitor centre).
Not to bad at all, great fire pits and nice peaceful vibe with and old school MTB trail right next to it!
Excellent camp site with long drop facilities. Tourist centre in town has great showers and toilets
Good, cheap little getaway from the indoors. The roads are one lane two way traffic and aren't very well kept so make sure to go slow and avoid those holes if you can, especially in winter when you can't tell how deep those puddles are. Bring plenty of firewood and a sleeping setup for 0°c as the night's cold does bite. Plenty of walking and bike tracks to explore, the P. O. W camp is worth the discovery. There was a small creek next to where I camped but I would only recommend it for washing your hands, you'll need a bucket tied to 5m string if you want to scoop some water up from the flow under the bridge. Recommend you bring at least 10 litres from home if you're staying two nights.
Great place to escape the City and all the other noises that are by products of the city Mc Freight and Vvs enjoyed the relaxed pace if you need a little bit of a break minus the luxurious fleece and enjoy roughing it then check it out you regret it.
Lots of camping room. Only 1 drop hole toilet (clean at the time). Mountain bike trail to use. Otherwise not much available. Close to Dwellingup town centre. Still paid camping ($8 adult/night. $3 child/night) - no online payment, pay at the office in Dwellingup (Mon - Fri only). Ranger came around a few times to clean toilet.
This was a lovely spot to camp. The POW camp close by was very interesting and I spent a lot of time exploring it. There is lots of interesting this to find there and lots of loop tracks to walk.
Right on the outskirts of Perth. Dwellingup for supplies. History to be found in every direction. Gateway to the southwest.
Good basic camp site although for the fact it's $8 per person per night would've thought it would be slightly improved. Long drop facilities good just a shame there's no water, even just a water tank so you can hand wash.

Such a gorgeous hidden gem. Perfect for a close by getaway off grid camping. Lots of Forrest and things to explore. POW camp, waterfalls & bush walks. The roads in need to be graded though. They are so rutted out its actually quite ridiculous. The sites are meant to be paid for now, not that you can book online. You have to go into Dwellingup pay then go back out to the camp. For paying - there is no real facilities - a stinky broken drop loo. Old broken picnic benches. There is rubbish facility though.
Great campsite, toilets and plenty of camping options. It was quite busy so not for those who like to get away from everything, but with mountain bike trail, walks and Dwellingup all right there, there’s heaps to do. Recommended.
Really nice spot with some very interesting history to explore. Could probably do with a couple more toilets as it can get pretty busy
Top notch camping and free, it can be busy but most people are very considerate, no late night parties. Right by the start of the Marinup trails which makes for a great fun weekend with the kids. Toilet is clean, fire pits are plentiful, Dwellingup is super close for supplies, bring your own wood as scavenging is not allowed. The local wood merchant is cheap $10 a bag but the wood is rubbish, wet and hard to get going. You can easily tow a caravan in. Great spot
