Market & Co Restaurant reviews
63Less than ordinary. Very uninterested staff. Waited 20 mins to take drink order, which then took another 20 mins for 3 soft drinks to arrive. Orderd chilli mussels at $38 and had to take the beards out of every mussel before eating it. Bad food, bad service. Crown.do better.
Hosted a Big family dinner for my fathers birthday. I review seldomly but I could not let our beautiful experience go without praise. I would like a special mention of Andrew whom took genuine care towards every member of the party and showed sincere effort in making sure a party of 15+ was looked after. Really set the atmosphere for the evening. Andrew put pressure on the chefs out back to produce a meal that meets the expectations that rubbed on from the great service and boy they delivered.
Thankyou all at Market co today, we will indefinitely be back.
Went to a pre-show brunch and were pleasantly surprised with both the food and the friendly service! Two of us had Nasi Goreng and the other Pork Belly. All delicious and plentiful. Service was faultless!
Usually come here before a show at the Crown when you can only choose from a set menu. That's OK and I understand the rational but.set menus benefit the venue and should be priced accordingly. At $59 a head for two courses that is a little overpriced especially if you have a main and a dessert. Other venues can do two courses for $39 a head.
That aside the food is good as is the service but I would really like to try the alacart menu.
At $150 all up that is a little pricey for a pre show meal - the tickets were cheaper!
2.5 stars
Come here irregularly in the past decade. Getting worse and worse. Less customers.
Venue: plenty of carparks. Connected to a hotel lobby. Very spacious. Simple decor, like sitting on a cruise. - 7.5/10
Service: it's Friday lunchtime, but not busy (only 2 tables). No wait-person at reception. Waiting to be seated for a while. One waiter at bar came to seat us after few minutes. He gave us menus, Tap water, and asked us to order immediately. We needed to read the menu and asked him to come back in 5 minutes. Then, he never came back. Around 20 minutes later, I left my table and went to that waiter. On the way, I saw a waitress and a manager talking at the reception. I asked them if I could order. Food served fast. They made me feel that we're not welcome. Actually, none of them were either attentive or helpful. They were in relaxing mode. The manager looked angry. One waiter wearing apron was unwilling to serve - 5/10
Food: unprofessional presentation. Normal portion of food. Overpriced for poor quality and service. Surcharge 0.8% for card payment.
- Seafood Spaghetti, $34: 4 prawns, 4 long squid strips, and 4 mussels. Just served warm. Rough. Three of 4 mussels hide beneath the spaghetti weren't opened. Prawns were not thawed well. Squid was tender - 4/10
- Chili Mussels, $38: some mussels not fresh. Not opened beautifully. 3 toasted garlic bread was good. - 6/10
- Iced Latte, $7.9: a scoop of ice cream on the top. Normal portion. Average.
I had the bottomless brunch recently for my partners 30th. I had booked a table for 10 people and throughout my time there, I had gotten side eyes from the waitresses - in which one actually rolled her eyes whilst clearing my table. I didn’t appreciate how the manager just hovered around mainly my table. I paid $70 x 10 for slow and rude service. I will not be returning and none of my friends will be either. It’s unacceptable service for honest people who are paying their way. I felt as if I was judged for the group I was with, Pacific Islanders trying to enjoy and celebrate a milestone. Completely ruined by Market & Co.
Coffee was OK, but luke warm. I know purists say we drink our coffee too hot. But this couldn't have been classed as hot.
We shared a small pizza. It would have benefitted from a few more minutes cooking. The dough was very soft. This was basic stuff. And disappointing from a complex like Crown
Be advised to check the portion with the staff before you order the platter options. Unfortunately our waitress didn’t suggest the size to suit the customers. Over order for everything. We were 4 men and 1 woman. We couldn’t finish the food and could not take home.
Unsure about the regular menu, but avoid the pre show menu at all costs.
Service was extremely slow, the food was bland, unseasoned and ridiculously tiny portions. The fish was dry with soggy skin. The pork belly skin wasn't crackle. It was chewy and unpleasant.
Extremely underwhelming.
Great menu, ambience music & location. The staff service was reasonable too & great coffee.but bit disappointed with the stained warm beer glasses. (see photo)
Love eating breakfast here great choices & the Juice always goes down great after a big night
Having dinner with 8 friends at this venue. Wouldn't repeat it if I were paid to do so.
Service was slow as I had to remind staff of my ordered drink and meal. While serving my wife, the waiter spilt the champagne on her and the friend sitting next to her. The replacement drink was served after a period. A very mild apology given.
What a fantastic Restaurant with divine food. Kids loved the Dessert selection and quality
Asked for no beetroot in the steak sandwich. Came out with beetroot. Sent it back. New steak sandwich came out cold. Very average.
Food was brilliant 10+
but service was terrible! Service felt Horribly rushed, the staff gave a impression that we only had a certain time frame to eat even though the restaurant was near empty. We were not given much time to look over the menu. Couldn't get another drink even with raising my hand many many times so decided to leave early.
Overall would not recommend due to bad service.
We just had coffee with an order of cheese plattee with chocolate lava cake. Enjoyed our dining experience with the family.
Got the pre-show menu and had an amazing steak with creamy potato and rich sauce. The chocolate lava cake was also very rich and enjoyable.
Delicious food with outstanding customer service. Parking available at Promenade Valet for $50 or plenty free parking at P6 area. Has indoor and outdoor areas with 2 different menus. We had 2 boards, 2 salads, a pizza and a wine for 7 ppl. That was plenty food.
Ordered the $120 meat board and realistically it wasn't work $20. The meat was all pre-cooked, beef ribs were not edible as they were tough and gummy. Salad looked like it was just slapped on plate, chicken looked re-heated and was overall pretty disgusting. We have our feedback to staff and they were very polite albeit we found it somewhat confusing that when we paid they took the bottle of sparkling water off the bill as a form of compensation. There was no issue with the water, that was just didn't it was the meat platter that was the issue. More than happy to pay $120 for meat but not for this rubbish.
Absolutely the best Christmas breakfast ever! Great staff, great food and a very well maintained restaurant.
