9 I had a look at your website and saw that you have to be over 18 to volunteer, but I was just wondering if you need any extra help. I am a responsible 15 year old that would love to help. I want to work with animals when I am older and really do love animals. I understand if I am not allowed to, but I would be happy to know.
Thank you, Chloe
Amazing folk doing amazing work taking care of amazing critters.
Dot loves all creatures and never turns away any needing help.
Her life seems to taken up feeding joeys (mostly 'pinkies') at all hours of the day and night.
Her volunteers are also amazing.
The word of the decade going forward is simply 'AMAZING".
What excellent work these unpaid people do, without them many animals would suffer and die!
To know that the orphaned and injured are cared for until they can be rehabilitated until released. The love and care they are given are beyond words
We found our arms and legs waving pinkie near her dying mum (car hit and run), she must've been ejected from the pouch. We took pinkie to Dot wrapped in my husbands sweater. As soon as Dot opened the door she was welcoming, warm and looked down at pinkie and said "how absolutely wonderful, she looks healthy and injured except for a bruise on her leg". Such kindness! When I asked the next day (Friday 09 May 2020) Dot told me that our circa 3 month old pinkie is doing well, after a warming bath, anti-inflammatories for her bruised leg and 2 hourly feeds. From such trauma watching mum die, such joy! Thank you Dot and your helpers.

We have seen first hand the love, care and attention that both
Trish and Dot give to the joeys, other birds or animals
that they have either rescued or been given to care for. The time
and dedication given is wonderful and speaks volumes for their
work and character. Keep up the great work, our wildlife needs
people like you.
What a remarkable job Dot and Trish and their marvellous team of volunteers do. What these ladies don't know about wildlife care hasn't been written yet!
