I had a spicy sambal chicken nasi gorang. I have tried nasi gorang in other places as it’s my favourite Malaysian dish, but this is the stingiest driest nasi gorang I have ever had. You have to find for pieces of chicken.
They are very generous with the rice. Usually nasi gorang comes with a fried egg and some cucumber pieces. What I had was just dry spicy rice with a very few bits of chicken. Very disappointed. Not gonna come back

The food is hit or miss here.
Sometimes, the meat is nice and juice. Other times, it's very dry. Need some improvement. The customer service is amazing

I wanted to order Nasi Kandar+fried chicken but my older sister who lives here advised me not to order something with chicken because the staff could not confirm with us about the source of the chicken. So i ordered Nasi Kandar with fish curry instead. I thought i was gonna get my food right away like in Msia because i saw the curry is ready LOL but turned out i have to wait for it to be cooked too. My verdict, instead of nasi kandar, it is more like a nasi campur. But the food tastes good tho. The roti canai is big and taste good too.

Disapointing service. The Malay gentleman with a cap and glasses was asked to have one of the dishes cut as it was to be shared - he so abrasently told a table behind me to cut by themselves with the cutlery on the table!

The lady who was handling the counter seemed flabersgasted yet the restaurant was not even running in full capacity. One couple was told off at the entrance - just sit anywhere!

Besides the sambals being great. I will never go back here!

This is not the Malaysian hospitality!

A very decent assortment of Malaysian cuisines, done with quality fresh ingredients.

Portions were huge, tasted good and done well ️‍? A rather authentic and satisfactory experience for those who have yet to visit South East Asia and sampled the cuisines there.

Slow service. An okay ambience but very tight seating. Small servings. Low food quality. One of dishes came very late after everyone else on the table had almost finished theirs. And one of our dishes was missing an ingredient, which was later added on by the cook at the table. Credit card surcharge applies.

Food was absolutely perfect as it always is here and the band was nice but a touch to loud but nice anyways.

The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because my food came out 10 minutes before my partners witch I guess isn’t a big deal in a place like this but going for dinner I like to eat with who I’m with.

Saying that I’d recommend anyone here who loves Malaysian food it’s top notch!

Workers were friendly, accomodating to a large group of us.
Sadly they lost one of our orders and had to wait a long time for it to arrive.
Food was alright, but it was lacking any flavour that stood out that would lead me to rave about it to anyone

We waited over 30min, i got my food first and then my dad got his food 15min after.

No water was given, no tissue was available, we had to ask for it.

Chicken was not properly cook as well. We have been to this place before but now we will never go again.

Poor service and meal time

Horrible experience. Waited over an hour for food and terrible service from waitstaff who were rude and mocking. Food finally came and was extremely subpar, really salty and others lacking any flavour. Have a much better experience at any other restaurant in Vic Park.

The bowl of Oxtail Soup $17.90 came out piping hot and the broth was delicious. The generous serve of meat fell easily off the knuckles. Served with rice and sweet soy sauce kindly provided on request. Air con works a treat on a hot day. Roti sets coming out of the kitchen looked good. Extensive menu. Will go back.

If you love Malaysian Cuisine, this is as authentic as you get. Malaysian Cuisine is normally spicy (close enough to Indonesian) but you can always cook without the spicy part and still maintain its local flavor. Go for the Satay (Malaysian barbeque at its best) - think of it as a Kebab with dipping Peanut sauce but instead of chunk of meats - the meats are thinly sliced on a bamboo skewer - which you can get at most grocery stores.

Friday night, live music free with your sumptuous meal. What more can you ask for. If you're craving for an authentic Malaysian cuisine, it's a great place to sample a pretty good selection of tasty dishes.

Started with the Roti Channel which was not great, then the noodles came out, Kueh Teow and the Mee Goreng both Dry style which made up for the poor starter. The noodles were full of flavour and a hint of spice that enhanced the experience.

Service is slow. You'll order at the same time but won't be eating at the same time. Try other places in Vic Park

The piece of fried chicken that comes as dish option with the Nasi lemak appeared and tasted like it had been sitting in the warmer since this afternoon. I wasn't even able to use my fork and spoon to break it apart. When I brought this up with the waitress, her response was: this is all they had. No offer to change for anything. I couldn't eat it, and thus, left it on my plate. Very disappointing. Management, please train your staff in customer service, this is not acceptable.

Haven't been visited here for years. No buffet now. Live band every Friday evening.
Venue: park at rear or street. A short cut from rear carpark to entrance. Dark and old style. Big TV Screen- broadcasting MTV. Causal setting. Most tables are very big and firm - good for gathering. A little bit packed. Some dishes are pre-cooked and displayed like buffet with 3 big rice cookers. Everyone can access to these easily. - 7.3/10
Service: rather busy. The owner/cashier is nice. Tap water is provided upon request. A set of utensils wrapped by serviettes will be given when food served, but the serviette was not dry. Extra cutlery and seasonings is available on each table. - 6.9/10
Beverage: wide selection.good value. Good portion. Not bland. Hot Teh Horlick / Milo ($4.9) are served in Mug. Sometimes small spoons will not be given for stirring. Teh Tarik with Ginger ($5.2, in mug) are really full of ginger flavour. - 7.8/10
Food: wide selection of Malaysian/ southeastern food but not all are available. Normal portion. Price ok. Very casual presentation.
- Murtabak lamb Roti, $13.9: well stuffed with minced lamb, egg and chopped onion. Good portion. Only the sauce was enough for me. - 7.3/10
- Chicken Rice Hainanese Style, $13.9: served with Chili sauce. Good portion of chicken eith bone (albeit not very glossy or silky in texture). Rice and soup was good. Salad was just mainly cucumber and cabbage. - 6.5/10
- Oxtail Soup, $17.9: served with rice good portion of oxtail in the soup. Meat was very tender. Soup was good. - 7.3/10
- Set Rice with 1 dish ($12.9) or 2 dish ($15.9) : There are 3 Rice options. Ordered Fish Curry Briyani. Rice was good. Papadum was crispy. Vegetable Pickles were just ok. Dhal was ok. Set rice was not bad except fish curry dish. Fish curry was just only 2 pcs of fish in normal size and 1 okra. But, one almost no meat (bone only, disappointed). It's not like the description of fish curry on menu -boneless. I accept fish containing bones, but inedible fish bone is not ok. Curry sauce wasn't so creamy. Lost the points - 5/10
