Madora Bay Tavern reviews
21 Went there for Sunday lunch, food was delicious, had an amazing steak sandwich for only $15. Great location right near the beach and a park.
We enjoyed a great chat with the owners and regulars.
Great Aussie pub atmosphere
The food here is pure, delicious comfort food. The owners are always friendly are observant, offering service and in general made me feel welcome. The steak sandwich is easily my favourite and not to mention reasonably priced unlike some places in the Mandurah area, specifically in Mandurah Quay.
Its a little drive but if you want a friendly relaxed atmosphere I would recommend 100%. Will be returning
No roast dinners any more.
No atmosphere any more either
Adding to this post to you the owner of Madora bay Tavern.
I have been Steve's friend for many years. What Steve does with his life has nothing to do with me.
I was in the Tavern at 12.45pm on Sunday. And as I said, it had no atmosphere at all.
Sorry you're so bitter about things, it shows in your business.
Came for a 60th birthday, what a joke, food, service and atmosphere terrible. Watching the owner handle food was disgusting, if the whole crowd doesn't get gastro I'd be surprised. Love the limited menu, couldn't even order a basket of chips, this place is so old, a bulldozer would be it's only saving grace
Came here all the way from the UK while visiting friends in Aus and so impressed! Lovely staff, food was great and such a chilled atmosphere. Great little local pub, pop in if you can!
Oh, god, it appears my phone pocket texted a poor review. Let me rectify this with a five star solution. Much apologies. Had no idea I was reviewing.
Only had 1 beer left of my flavour waited a while till we got served and there were only 2 other customers there.
Absolutely delicious home cooked tasting Sunday roast at bargain price of $10.50 even coming with a small sweet after. Will be back, thank you!
First time eating here for the Sunday roast was very yum no complaints friendly staff and service. Great price and great serve size also get a dessert after included in price I think that's great. Will be coming back only lunch time roast on a Sunday no dinner at this time.
Not much has been updated since the 80's, it's truly dank. The Deli side always has the lights turned off and the front doors are locked to save money, I bought an overpriced Iced coffee here recently and it was right on the border of warm and cold.
They do cheap Sunday roasts and other pub meals at the tavern but I can't help but think of health concerns because of the overall appearance.
Working around the area for a few days. Been there twice the past couple days. It's such a lovely pub, has so much character to it. Beautiful owners, with great customer service. Would highly recommend going there
On holiday for the week and want a nice chilled out pub by the water. Plug the phone charger in because phone is low and get told not allowed to. Got eyeballed the whole afternoon by the owners and staff. It's an old pub that should do well in prime location but the owners and staff make it a disgrace. So sad. If you want a nice greeting then don't come here
Sunday roast pretty good for only $10 bucks and you get dessert too while watching karoke - it amused me. Some weeks it's pretty full so recommend booking if you want a table. Nice sunset at lookout across the road.
Excellent! Stopped in for 2 jugs of swan. Now I'm back at work swinging rock in an excavator. Happy days!
Not sure how this place could get a poor rating. It's a country style pub that is cozy and friendly. Pub owners are very friendly.
Roast Beef bought already sliced, left over Xmas ham smothered in gravy with one potato, then crucified pumpkin, peppered runner beans (also crucified), cabbage which was over cooked and cauliflower and broccoli cheese, that was nice, certainly isn't a roast meal. My opinion, cook the meat yourself and don't cook with too much pepper.
The Sunday roast at the Tavern is delicious.
The ladies in the kitchen do a fantastic job in preparing a great value lunch. It is well received by locals and visitors alike.
Friendly service and great little spot by the sea. Keep it up team. Love this place.
Dearest Cate, Thankyou so much for your beautiful good old fashion Sunday roast. The home made jam and cream sponge was also lovely. Just reminds me of when my nanna was alive. See you again soon.
Good Sunday roast. Average prices.the lemonade was flat in my vodka. Really could do with some sunlight in the place
This Place is fantastic, it is has great charm and the characters here come from all over. Tonight Sunday night is KAROAKE NIGHT and the singers very entertaining.
Just finished our roast lamb (choice of lamb or pork tonight) it was great tastie and well presented, you put your own veggies on the plate. JUST $ 7 50 and real treat at a amazing price.
When we handed our plates in, they gave us a cute dessert.
Bring your friends, have a great night, you won't be disappointed, if you are you don't mix in.
There is one table here tonight of 18 a meet up group. Mostly Single ladies. They are enjoying themselves, but if your a Batchelor in the 35 to 55 range there is some real talent here.
You will enjoy the Madeira Tavern
