33 I can’t recommend MacFit enough. James, Lucas and Jaxon are all knowledgeable, engaged and always striving to help you meet and exceed your fitness goals. They always push you to be better and after every session I feel I have had a win.
Not only do I love coming but the MacFit Pups sessions are fantastic. This is what introduced me to MacFit in the first place. Sensible coaching that really help kids with their fitness as well as providing mentoring. My boys, 12 & 15 are adamant that whatever other sports they are doing- MacFit must be part of their weekly schedule.
As a result of James, Lucas and Jax they have built a fantastic supportive community- every gym session you know will be full of encouraging people that want to see you succeed.
The Trainers are professional and enthusiastic about making sure that you get the most out of the class. Great atmosphere and good banter
Absolutely loving my time at Macfit! James is passionate about what he does and it shows through his small group sessions. You’re constantly pushed in a friendly controlled environment. The community is like no other!
MacFit is an amazing space tucked away in the heart of Duncraig! The owner James and his team of PT's (Lucas and Jaxon) really set up a great community vibe and their combined knowledge of training makes for some great variety. Highly recommend the team for one on one but if you're on the hunt for that extra push you can't fault their group session!
Great gym, great people, great trainers, great results! James is dedicated to his art with a support crew who loves it too! All great motivators and make it lots of fun! Good times
So grateful to have found MacFit, hands down the best S & C gym. James’s knowledge, programming and mindset is second to none and working with him and his amazing coach Lucas I’m definitely starting to see the positive changes.
Love the Macfit vibe. Its more than just a gym but you can tell James and trainers actually want you to succeed and turn up! Even the members that you train with want you to succeed. I constantly am recommending their training programs and Personal training.

Absolutely love James and his team at MacFit. For those that may be a bit daunted by the gym - you needn’t worry. The trainers are so welcoming, and it’s such a nice atmosphere. I do PT with Lucas who’s knowledgeable, motivating and knows how to deal with my achy 40 something year old body! Feeling stronger already and haven’t had lower back pain since I’ve started. Having discovered these guys, I think I may actually stick with exercise consistently for once in my life, I’m hooked! A lovely gym community, I highly recommend them!
This gym is defined by the owner and trainers who are genuine, passionate, knowledgeable, approachable, well-organised and supportive. Which equals a great all-welcome vibe and results!
This is the first gym I haven't tried to talk myself out of going to in a long time! The community vibe built by James is awesome. I am being pushed further than I ever thought possible. The encouragement from Coach Lucas and the other Macfit members is so welcoming! Highly Recommend, especially if you want something different and gym sessions outside the box.
Such a great space James has created. I've trained at some high quality gyms over the years and this one is right up there. Small group sessions which allows the Coach to correct technique and push you harder. Excellent vibe and supportive environment
Joining MacFit has helped my health significantly (physically and mentally). I joined MacFit a year ago when I was 15. I had never stepped into a gym or lifted a weight before and was instantly welcomed by the James and the community he has built. The quality of the sessions is like nothing else and the trainers here are the best of the best, always improving and keeping things fresh. I have been here for 1 year now and have seen huge improvements in my strength, mobility and athletic capability. I have also learned a lot about my body and how to move safely and with good mobility. The trainers and members both contribute to a great welcoming community vibe that makes you just want to keep coming. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for years to come.
I started with MacFit just a few months ago and it was the change I did not know I needed. James has taught me to slow down and refine my movements. As a result I am lifting heavier weights with much less pain and fatigue in the hours after. I cannot recommend this space highly enough. Small group workouts that have atmosphere and accountability.
Joining MacFit was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! I’m so thankful to James and his team for creating an inclusive, welcoming community, it’s only been a couple of months but the changes in my physical and mental health have far surpassed anything I’ve experienced in other training environments. I attribute that to the care and expertise of James and Lucas.
This place is not just a gym! It’s a community; a safe space to explore, improve and test your body’s abilities. The holistic training programs James crafts are fun yet challenging, always with a focus on bettering yourself, while listening to your body.
The people you share the gym with are a bonus - it’s pretty special to be able to walk into a place with people from all walks of life and levels of fitness, yet not feel intimidated or like the odd one out (even if most of them are fitter than me). Everyone had a laugh and encourages one another. Dog friendly, kid friendly, great tunes, great vibes and 10/10 coaching from people who dedicate their lives to heath and fitness. What more could you ask for?
P. S: for the first time in my life I’ve attempted big lifts with weights I’ve never felt safe to even consider previously (and even it it doesn’t move an inch, I gave it it a try because James/Lucas/the community encouraged me to, and that’s pretty damn exciting). Thank you MacFit!
100 sessions down at Macfit but I knew from my first trial week that I'd be hanging around. I am so grateful for James and the amazing community he has built. James is 110% invested in every clients journey - I hadn't been at the gym long when I had to have surgery yet upon my return I was nurtured and encouraged to keep turning up. I have gained strength, mobility and an understanding of the importance that these go hand in hand. Everything about this place is top notch - the space, vibes and people. I can't fault it.
Love this place! The small group sessions at MacFit cater for all levels of fitness, have a great vibe and you never feel out of place. James is extremely knowledgeable and his passion for what he has built at MacFit is clear. Would recommend to anyone who wants to improve their fitness and put in the work!
Physical strength and mental growth.
I had no idea of expectation walking into Macfit for the first time but this space and guidance has changed my life - for real. The space James has provided has allowed me to develop my strength and test my limits and has pushed me to grow more in the last 6 months than I have over the past 6 years of training in many other places. Through the confidence and support James has given to me, I have been able to build a solid foundation to train and become more mobile through my movements. Being a small gym the ability to also grow a relationship with James has been incredible. The level of knowledge and life advice this man has given means more than anything else and in turn, has helped me also grow confidence around the gym. The physical strength and understanding of movements he has taught me in training has allowed me to become grounded and solid to also move through mental growth. If you want to level up in life this is the place to start. You'll be surrounded by great like-minded people and a fierce, energy filled trainer. No regrets on making this move.
