I'm so sorry that the other reviewer had such a negative experience, that's awful We have had the opposite with Luci. My son has ADHD, ASD and dyspraxia, and I have been allowed to stay or go as I wish. Her approach is so straightforward, he really responded straight away. She is gentle and kind with him - even phoned me last week to say that another little boy would be coming at the same time and didn't want my son to have an unexpected surprise because of it, so did I want to warn him or did I want to reschedule to another time when he could be on his own. He adores her, he actually looks forward to going and we have been seeing her for a year now, every week. He has come a long way. Five stars from me.

Very disappointed at the approach including a predisposition to not allowing parents in to observe, (I insisted on being present.)
Luci refused to acknowledge my son’s ASD diagnosis, and failed to adjust her methods to suit his needs.
Her ‘therapy’ traumatised my son. She reduced him to hysterical tears of terror and told him he was a baby, and that it was a privilege that I was allowed to observe his sessions. She continued by telling him if he didn’t stop crying I wouldn’t be allowed in anymore.
Neither of us attended after that session. He has a deep distrust of OTs now, although with psychological support this has improved over time.
In summary we found this to be a very old fashioned approach to OT work, applied with an air of arrogance and supremacy.
There are far better options available.
