Lotus Court Connolly reviews
49It's the best chinese restaurant in Perth! Decent portions, plenty of meat in their dishes and delicious, every time.
First time customers, absolutely beautiful food. We had chicken curry, special fried rice, spring rolls and sweet n sour pork. Really good quality. Will be back for sure
Have never been disappointed with any meal we have purchased, best Satay chicken or beef ever. Fantastic staff.
Very noisy, but that is probably due to its popularity. Had a very pleasant evening despite this. All the food was served hot (very), and delicious. Unfortunately the beef and pork were quite tough. Seafood and special fried rice were excellent. Will return.
I haven't been to the Lotus Court for many years even though it's our local and been in Connolly for 30 years. All I can say is the food is still amazing and the service is friendly and attentive.
We went on a Thursday and it was full and tables turned over regularly. I would recommend booking to ensure you get seating. The dishes off the chefs recommended list are exceptional. It's BYO so you don't mind paying a little more for the quality of tge food.
Overall you will not be disappointed.
Still waiting for the manager to phone me back whenI eventually got through after hour. Placed an order, paid (over $200 order) and the message stated 90 min pickup ready. No indication of waiting time before your pay. Tried to call for more than a half hour to get through to try to cancel, but only got engaged number. Previously saw they take phone off the hook while we waited there. Supported them for years, but won’t go back.
Very good chinese restaurant. Been going there for years every time I am in town. Never been disappointed.
This time we had braized prawn with garlic sauce, chicken szechuan, black pepper beef, sweet & sour pork, special fried rice
Really enjoyed most dishes here. The stand out was definitely the shanghai beef, followed by the garlic prawns (which were actually massive) and cooked to perfection.
Was not a fan of the deep fried ribs.
Good place for byo wine.
Food has Gone from bad to worse. 3 dishes and a special fried rice was 90.00 will never go back.
Had takeaway from here. One dish was completely wrong and the other (pictured) was burnt. Was told by the manager that the chow mein may smell burnt but should be ok!
Asked for refund, was offered half the value of the wrong dish back and told I’d have to drive back and return all the food.
Awful food and service.
Our favorite restaurant when I dont feel like cooking and or family birthday celebrations. The tastes suit our Asian tongue despite more expensive than any other Chinese restaurants. Will give 5 stars if they provide us with free crackers (old Joondalup restaurant did have that policy if you spend over $30) and chillie oils (I think charging $2 for that tiny plate is ridiculous).
Amazing customer service everytime. You can't BYO with no extra charge and I highly recommend the garlic scallops
Food is overpriced, oily and greasy. Said order ready in 45mins, waited another 20mins before telling us no prawns. Waited another 10mins for another dish and didn't have decency to give us discount. Miserable people.
In reply to the owner, we did not walk out without paying, it was your mistake to which the woman admitted it was her fault. And we did pay for the meal, you just didn't charge the $2 difference because we had to change meals, which was your fault. Big deal, that's not a discount for making us wait that long. Other people have commented that your are overpriced, so it's not just us complaining. If people want to continue going to your restaurant and get ripped off, good luck to them. Your food is not worth the price you charge. As yes you are miserable and rude.
Easily the best Chinese food in Perth. It is a bit expensive but by far the tastiest and freshest I've had. We've tried many things from the menu and it's always amazing.
Extremely disappointing food, service and ambiance.
On my first visit to Lotus Court I was fairly impressed with the service and quality of the food. The second time was a order placed via their online menu, this didn't go so well. 30 mins was the estimated time for collection. On arrival they handed my a package with the meals, only for it to turn out that it wasn't our meals which hadn't even been made. 30 mins later we eventually got our meal which tasted fine. Last night a group of us dined in the restaurant. Immediately it was apparent that they were very busy and all table were occupied with considerable background noise that made communications within our group difficult (Too many tables for the size of the room). Duck was the entrée. One plate of duck, one plate of assorted cucumber etc etc, this made self service awkward it would have been better to split the duck and assorted other accompaniments into two plates rather than everyone waiting for the dishes to be rotated around the table. I ordered lightly battered spicy chilli seafood (house speciality) "Dry". What I got was chip shop deep fried seafood. Another dish (Satay Chicken) was so overcooked it was stuck to the bottom of the service dish. This is one establishment that I will not recommend and obviously will not go back too
The best Chinese in Perth worth a 45 minute drive from South of the River.awesome flavour in every dish.sizzling fillet steak in satay sauce my favourite, my husband loves their chilli fried soft shell crab.and the best thing about their special fried rice is that it doesnt have hundreds of peas in it, lovely staff.great service and large portions No waking up at 2am with a dry mouth and thumping headache like I get from other Chinese Restaurants.
Food was delicious! Only reason why its a 4 star is so expensive. A small fried rice for $12.90 which was half the size of a usual small rice else where.
Always a great meal and the Peking Duck is the best in Perth. (Remember to order it the day before).
Food was pretty good, but over priced. I would think that when you spend $97.00 on a meal that the sauce for the spring rolls and the prawn crackers might be offered for free, not here, each item will incur an additional $4.00 each. The person behind the counter/register had the personality of a rotten piece of cauliflower but was quite happy to take my money with a smile on her face.
The restaurant was not busy but it was quite late as we were on the way home from work.
Every time we come here I seem to get angry about the same things so I would rate the overall experience a 5/10
The food here is always amazing. Staff are friendly and helpful. And I was so pleased to see a ‘Fin Free’ sticker on the door, I wish more restaurants and supermarkets would follow in their footsteps and support such an important movement. Thanks Lotus Court I’ll definitely be back!
