28Delicious food and really beautiful restaurant. Had the pork belly, mushroom dumplings, gai galai and the eggplant main. All amazing! Cocktails were also very good, followed by a delicious wine choice!
I'm not a massive fan of Asian food, but boy this place blew it out the water, offering something for everyone. I had the pork belly bites and then the steak to share, which was cooked to perfection.
A must visit if you're stopping at the Samphire Resort.
Had a lovely lunch at this Bali inspired restaurant. Food and service were good, especially the watermelon salad with prawns. Rottnest Island iced tea was a nice twist on the classic long Island iced tea. Nasi Goreng was a bit too wet.
Thoroughly enjoyed the Sunday bottomless lunch at Lontara. The food, wine, and service was faultless from beginning to end. And the location is just perfect. Wines included a superb French rose, Italian Prosecco and Sandalford Pinot Noir. Serves were generous and top up graciously offered. The food is exceptionally good-highlights were the swordfish sate and the dumplings. This was the best bottomless brunch/lunch that we’ve had in ages and definitely the best in Perth. Kudos to Samphire and Lontara-this is a winner.
Very average meal. Chicken undercooked. Not enough sauce. Steak ok. Sauces very very average. We were guests at the resort and were very disappointed.
Generally tasty food and good service however the quantity lacked a little: the entree oysters were tiny, the whole fish main was not served as a whole fish and the lobster main was quite small.
Probably the worst experience ever at a restaurant. My husband and I stayed overnight on Friday night and had booked a table for 2 for the feast. We checked the menu out online and booked the day before arrival on the Thursday. When we got to the restaurant we were greeted by the host Jenny (I think) who had the worst attitude. She proceeded to sit us outside the restrooms, we asked to move to a different table and was answered with a heavy sigh! We were told we could only have a choie of 2 starters (scallops and pork belly) and 2 mains. The choices were completely different to what was online. I mentioned this to the waitress and she said the choices had changed 2 days ago. This obviously wasn't true as we had checked out the menu the day before. We asked if we could have something different and was told no. So for $85 a head you had to choice of only 2 starters and 2 mains. Surely for that price there should have been more options especially as neither of us eat scallops! We said the waitress that we would leave as the choices were not to our liking and she just shrugged her shoulders. No wonder the restaurant was empty. The attitude of the staff was awful and there is no way I will return.
Only had set menu option which is fine, but wouldn't let my husband and i share one between us despite me explaining that I am pregnant and can only eat small servings at a time. The restaurant had plenty of available seats and as guests of samphire hotel i thought the restaurant could have been more accommodating.
