Long Chim Perth reviews
85 We ordered Maa Long Chim an experience was well worth the money. Tasty, colourful and well presented. The service was awesome.
The atmosphere amazing.
Definitely well worth a visit.
We got the banquet, very good value for the price, we couldn’t finish it and took some home, everything was really nice. The service was excellent and the waitress even helped me pick a cocktail as I wasn’t sure what I wanted and it was exactly what I was after. Even though the tables are close together the music was at a good volume that I could easily have a conversation.
Don't ever accept a double booking. We were told we had from 5: 30 pm to 8: 30 pm and then, AFTER we had started, were told we had to vacate the table by 7: 45 pm. Very disappointing!
Fabulously tasty food, great menu explanation and advice. Really fab service and a good drinks list too. Favourite spot to bring visitors in Perth to.
Very overrated & not great service & if your a vegetarian forget any good food choices or flavours. This place caters to meat & seafood lovers only. For the premium prices charged there is so many more top notch eateries in Perth. I won’t ever return thankfully.
Easily the most overpriced thai in perth. The fish tasted very traditional but not in a fresh/good kind off way. All meat seemed very poor quality. Save your money. If you like thai food this restaurant is not for you. 2 drinks 2 set menu $215. Very average
Had date night here. Awesome service, great atmosphere and really cool setting!
We had the banquet, $85pp. Was more than enough food, we would have been happy sharing 1 persons worth.
The chicken ribs, chicken satay's and oysters were our favourite!
Complete rip off of a menu. The dish is so ghastly salted I need to splash a whole bottle of tap water to wash it down. No way this place calls itself Thai food.
The food was great, we're both Thai and the food was definitely nostalgic. It had the correct flavours.
Would have loved to see sticky rice as an options, as they're often paired with some of the dishes on the menu.
We were asked if we wanted the food spicy and enthusiastically said yes, it definitely had heat but not exactly spicy. Though we understand it's very difficult to get that right
Highly recommend this place.
Went to a function with set menu and food and service was amazing.
Shook at how rudeThe maître d was at this restaurant. If there is no room in the dining room you are offered seats in this weird little courtyard thing where the seats are plastic stools. Not a good experience staff are rude. Plenty of other places in Perth where you can spend your money
I was here for dinner with my friends and oh my goodness, everything was just way too spicy. I love spicy food but this was just too much I reckon. For the price we paid, nothing was worth it. Great vibes but the food was meh.
Even Thai food in Thailand wasn't even this spicy. We ordered the popular Crispy Prawns and they were basically just so burnt and spicy. Couldn't taste the prawns: (I don't really know why that's so popular. Overall, it was a pretty disappointing experience.
Visited for partners birthday dinner. Very nice decor as per photos. Waitstaff and doorstaff very friendly and professional. Food was delicious with generous portions for mains. Will 100% be returning soon. Great location for a special occasion.
Environment: going downstairs, there is outdoor area decorating with parasols. A guy is playing electronic panio. Good Music, still able to chat. A bit dark indoor with rustic decoration. Good vibe. A table was near kitchen. Looked clean and well organized - 7.4/10
Service: busy. The waitress served my table was very nice, always smiling, attentive, and came to serve at right time. Tape water is provided if needed. Food served fast. Cleaned the table before dessert. - 8/10
Food: a la carte or tasting menu. Normal smiple food presentation. Smaller portion of mains. Price on high side.
- Crunchy Prawns, $24: very crunchy. Shell on prawns. Good portion. - 8.3/10
- Beef Charred Noodles, $32: wide flat rice noodles were very small portion, but charred and seasoned well. Beef was just average, slightly chewy. - 7/10
- Barramundi Salad, $36: normal portion of pan fried Barramudi fillet, covered with green mango salad. Salad dressing was good. Fish skin was already soaked with dressing - 8/10
- Thai Tea Ice Cream, $16: served with Pistachio, young coconut and jelly. Teo big scoops of ice cream. Great flavour of Thai milk tea. - 7.8/10
- Mango Sticky Rice, $16: Sweet Coconut Cream, Yellow Mung Beans: ok for the choice of mango. Yellow mung beans was rather hard. - 7.4/10
I would like to come back to try other dishes.
Authentic Thai cuisine. Attentive, very friendly but professional wait service. Highly recommend Long Chim!
We tried the tasting menu- a combination of delectable dishes that came out fast, in a generous quantity. All of the dishes were exceptional and authentic. Furthermore, the service was amazing! We are definitely coming back:)
The food is average and overpriced. The chicken dish was okay but not worth $40. Also ordered a duck fried rice which was mostly duck skin with hardly any meat. Flavors are not balanced in the way you would expect for a Thai restaurant. Also the tables are crammed so tightly that it feels like you are eating in a food court not an upmarket restaurant.
Came for a Tuesday night dinner and it was packed. Bookings absolutely necessary, unless you're walking in for two. Food was tasty but not excellent for the price you pay. They have a banquet option for $80/pax which probably covers all their food options. Service was friendly and attentive, and food arrived promptly. Cocktails were fancy and a nice touch. Will come back again to try the banquet.
Ate at LC the night before NYE and we loved every moment of it. I was hosting family and had to bring them here. Service was excellent and food was flavoursome and plentiful. We also got some bangin'cocktails too. Big thanks to the team for making an awesome night. We guys rock
I had been to Long Chim a couple of years ago and wasn't very impressed. I just went again last week and the food was absolutely fantastic! So tasty, perfectly spicing! I can't wait to go back.
