Lone Star Rib House

Used to go here all the time on and off, me and my partner took 6 kids tonight and were absolutely disgusted! To the point we didn’t even want to wait for their ice cream and left.

I’m a chef by trade, the kids steak was so bad they could barely chew and when I said we just wanted to not pay was told by a so called manager that we could only have them redone. I got pepper sauce with my steak and when it came out it was 1/4 oil. Had an acidic taste which I can only guess that it was rancid and old. The chicken wings were once incredible and now come with no sauce on them.

When I asked for the manager was told she would get her, to the waitress coming back out saying she now was a manager. Disrespected as a customer for pointing out their faults and WILL NEVER BE BACK!

We went for lunch yesterday Saturday 23 Sept.
We walked in asked where we wanted to sit, over there at booth please, all reserved she said, not that one so gave us our menus and sat ourselves down.
Sweet potato fries came out all flat and wiltered, onion rings didn't have a taste of seasoning.
Tacos were ok.
Staff no one smiled, looked as if they didn't want to be there.
We lost ours in halls head, the best staff always smiles and happy.
Never going back to cockburn, also had food poisoning sick as, you really need to lift your game.
You owe us a meal or money back.

After a seriously long wait for our meals. 1 meal came out 10 to 15 min 2nd meal came out 3rd and 4th then 5 min 5th came out. Steak was not as ordered. The prawns were like eating rubber. The sauce on the Parmy was so sweet tasting my wife couldn't eat it. The other meals almost were eaten without complaints.

First of many visits. Amazing food, quick friendly service and great atmosphere and location.

Usually great, but last visit was very bad. After being shown to seats, had to wait 25 minutes before staff came over to take drinks order.we ordered food another 25 minutes before it arrived and was not what we ordered. Very disappointing and don't think we will
be back.

Food was half cold prawns smelt off asked for 5 glassrs (5people) she brings 4 glasses.had to take cutlery and napkins from another table. And way over priced. Would of preferred my local pub meal.

We couldn't tell the difference between medium rare and rare, both steaks were well done cooked and not tender at all, the service a bit slow (not really busy day).

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lone Star Rib House, and I must say, it was an absolutely amazing experience. The food was simply outstanding, and the service provided was top-notch. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that made me feel right at home.

The service at Lone Star Rib House was truly incredible. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. They were knowledgeable about the menu, making recommendations and guiding me through the various options. I truly felt like a valued guest, and that made all the difference.

Last but not least, I must mention the lovely staff. The team at Lone Star Rib House was not only professional but also genuinely friendly. They made me feel welcome and attended to my needs with a smile. Their passion for their work was evident, and it added an extra layer of enjoyment to my dining experience.

In conclusion, Lone Star Rib House exceeded my expectations on all fronts. The food was absolutely amazing, the service was incredible, the atmosphere was very nice, and the staff was lovely. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

Rocked up close to closing time, the service was good the food was fast. No complaints would recommend.

Also I would like to mention the 3 hard working blokes sitting in the corner, cheers for paying it forward and thanks for paying for my meal, appreciated. I will pay this forwarded.

Always great food, friendly service but staff not attentive once order placed. No eye contact to obtain their attention to order more drinks. Had to go up to counter.

Enjoyed a nice meal in casual surroundings at Lone Star Cockburn. The Southern Fried Chicken Parmigiana was very, very good.
Full marks to our server tonight Jake, who was friendly and attentive. Will be back.

From start to finish, terrible - non existent service. Food was ok, however 6 of the 8 members of my table complained at different times, no apologies or acknowledgement from staff. Asked for manager twice, no one turned up. No honest response from final complaint at the til. Don't bother, not worth the experience.

Service was strange. The poor staff won't make eye contact and everything takes a long time to happen. Very quiet when we arrived but as more people ordered, they all got full meals to their tables before our three plates of miniature wings were ready (at least 40 min wait). We ordered drinks and it took a long time for staff to come back to tell us the kegs were out. Then we were charged for the drinks we didn't get.

So we are still sat here 40 minutes after 2 of the four of us have been fed. I spoke to one of the staff who pretty much ignored me. Never came back to say there was a delay. Never cleaned the table away. I take my family out every week for lunch. Will not be coming back here. Poor effort

We tried the signature shoulder pork ribs and the chicken and ribs combo. The Portuguese chicken breast was perfectly cooked and that signature sweet & sticky rib glaze was surprisingly super tasty. The servings were also very generous. Service was a hit or miss depending on who was attending to our table.

Last time we went there was two massive hairs in out ribs, we couldn't continue eating. The manager offered to re make it or 20% off which was infuriating. Would not recommend. On the best of nights the food is mediocre.

Booked dine in Christmas day lunch via internet. Arrived to find shut. No signs on windows displaying opening hours. Nobody answering phones for contact to advise opening hours. Internet extremely unhelpful. Not good for customer relations when unable to find out opening hours via internet, phone or window display.

Terrible service. Went to have a nice lunch with the family on Sunday but once seated we were just forgotten about.

There were a quite a few tables there too, and as we noticed we weren’t the only ones that were wondering where all the staff went (an elder man with his wife actually got up and asked one of the staff if we supposed to order at the counter or they come to us, with the staff member responding that they come to you).

I went up to the counter to get some colouring paper and pencils for the kids, and three staff members were just standing around the counter.

After waiting a while to order our food, we just got up and walked out, the staff saw us leave but didn’t even bother with even trying to help.

Went to one of the food places a few doors down and was served straight away and had lunch within 10-15mins of ordering.

I made a reservation by phone and informed the person that we would have a double pram and that the table needed to have access for the pram.
Upon arrival, our allocated table was a booth which had no possible access for the pram. I informed the staff we would be sitting at a different table which we were able to access.
We placed oir drinks and entre order. This was drlvered to the table but no effort was made to distribute the drinks to the correct people, they were just left at one end of the table.
We ordered 5 main meals, steak, a burger, a parmigiana and 2 ceaser salads.
Every meal was delivered to the table separately with the last only being delivered after the staff was reminded that it had not been delivered after an hour. The caeser salads were both ordered without anchovies and with chicken schnitzel. One was delivered to the table, the second was delivered to the table 25 mins later, with anchovies and no chicken. As the person ordering has a sensitivity to fish and gets quite ill, we sent this back for what we ordered.
The salad was brought back with the anchovies removed however it was obvious that they have just been taken off which left black spots and a fishy smell on the eggs and lettuce. There was still no chicken, this was brought out separately about 10 mins later. This is when the reminder about the burger that was missing was made.
When asked by staff if everything was alright, I made it clear that I was very unhappy with the service as it took nearly 2 hours from our booking time to receive all our ordered meals. The staff member told the manager who came out, I let her know that it wasn't good enough to have this sort of service and that the caeser salad was inedible because of the anchovies. I was told they were sorry and that it was busy.
The table behind us arrived after us, got their meals and left before my burger arrived.
We were chatged full price for all our meals and drinks including the one that was not able to be eaten.
This is very disappointing for such a large chain restaurant.

Had the nachos and onion rings, perfect serve size, good music, excellent service, nice friendly staff. 110% recommend Lone Star Rib House Cockburn for an awesome night out!
