Lido Stirling Vietnamese Restaurant reviews
30 Very average meal for the price.
Every dish smothered with onions and drowned in sauce with little vegetables given.
Many better places around
Simplicity backed up with good portion size And flavour. This place has a vibe and drew is in with it's vibrant neon sign out the front. Its got loads of space and the staff were efficient and friendly. I ordered the shaking beef and my wife ordered a duck dish with a side of their own take on fried rice. We left very satisfied and the place started to fill up as we were leaving with a variety of people. Will go again
Great place, good food and friendly service. Recommended the quail and salted egg yolk prawns!
Sitting and still waiting 30 minutes after they told me it would be ready to pick up takeaway. Ist time and last time. Terrible service.
Very tasty Lido fried rice with all the trimmings, 'shaking beef', duck with Singapore noodles, san choy bao - all yummy with differing slants of flavour. The coconut curry chicken was a little over the edge of an oddly caramel flavour. Service was excellently and timely delivered by fine Vietnamese ladies. The dining room was clean and spacious, albeit with tables and decor that would not be amiss in a goodly 1970s establishment. Ignore the decor.highly recommended.
Very long wait times from order to receiving the food. 90 minutes.and the place was only half full.food was very average, had better
This restaurant consistently delivers excellent food at a good price and you can always get a table. The staff are lovely too. Highly recommended.
Had a really good meal there last night. I recommend the boneless roast duck, fried Japanese tofu with mushrooms and spinach, and the soy ginger fried fish. Great local venue.
Tasty food! Love their shaking beef, and seafood dry noodle is so yum. Taste of wok and fire on shaking beef! Definitely will return with friends next time.
What a brilliant little spot, entree’s were fresh and delicious with great flavour.
I didn’t manage to capture any photos for your viewing pleasure Mr, Miss or Mrs reading this review but take my word for it, it was sensationally presented.
Keep up the great work Chef and staff, my partner and myself thoroughly enjoyed the meal. It was that good she even suggested she’d pay! That’s a win win for me! Thank you team.
Ordered takeaway and had a very long wait, about 15 mins longer than we were told on the phone and we were quite underwhelmed by the food. Duck san choy bow was tasty, however the other dishes (satay beef and kway teow) lacked flavour and were quite bland. The noodles had lost all resemblance of a noodle and had all broken to small pieces. I understand times are difficult for small businesses at the moment, so we will try again but will read some more reviews to find dishes that others recommend.
Absolutely amazing food, perfect service, friendly staff.
Shaking veal, rice paper rolls, stir fried
seafood hofan and crispy chicken, all faultless most awesome flavours. Will most definitely be back. Thank you guys n Girls
I really enjoyed the seafood hotpot I had when I visited this restaurant recently. The sour soup was yum!
Always a great meal. Never disappointed. Great for a quiet meal or a group get together. R lovely staff who are very curbside and helpful. Quick service.
Great Menu, polite and friendly staff, resturant lovely and clean. Gets busy but not too noisy, so you can talk easily over dinner. Really nice atmosphere.
My husband and I were excited to get some food from Lido Stirling after being regulars when they were across the road. The flavours were always so fresh and authentically Vietnamese. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our take-away food. Has Lido changed owners? We had two different dishes, but the flavour was almost the same. The seafood dish was supposed to have a ginger flavour, but we could barely taste the ginger. The sauces were thick and seemed like they were not fresh, but pre- made. Very disappointing, especially as the dish was $30! The second one was a chicken dish, and the chicken pieces were quite dry and flavourless, as if they had been cooked separately from the rest of the dish and thrown in at the last minute. We used to love inviting friends to dine with us at Lido's, but I'm sad to say that we probably won't go back.
Modern style Vietnamese food cooked to a very high standard. Spicy veal salad is unique and deliciously char grilled. Big fat, juicy, sweet pieces of squid in the lemongrass squid stir fry. Host Jason is super helpful and Mae is so friendly and she has a beautiful smile.
How does a VT restaurant not do staples like. Pho? Descent but a touch expensive considering its the suburbs.
Amazing food and very reasonably priced local and convenient stylish and beautiful table service for special occasions. Also byo wine or surcharged for other drinks
After initial wait for water, wine glasses and menu everything was delightful. I would try it again.
