Lesmurdie Falls reviews
60Wonderful place for a bush walk! Just don't forget your liquids and remember the seasons you walk I'm.
Lesmurdie Falls is a beautiful triple waterfall in the Lesmurdie National Park East of Perth. Access from Falls Road, Lesmurdie at the top or Palm terrace, Forrestfield from the bottom. The bottom of the falls has a nice easy 10 minute walk from the car park and the top of the falls also a 10 minute walk from the upper car park. The top has 2 lookout points.
Not as good as Victorian falls but still worth spending some time with family for few hrs.
A perfect place for picnic and trial walk. Very nice scenery, beautiful wild flowers. Will be back to explore more different trials walk. Dog friendly too.
One of my go to places for some hiking on weekends.
There is a couple of different tracks.
Small waterfall and creek located in the Perth hills. They can be easily accessed by a large carpark at the top and bottom.
There are toilets and picnic areas located at the top and several different walking trail options.
The shortest and easiest takes you down to the viewing platforms. One is over the falls and the second looks out onto them. You have a nice view of the city and surrounding bushland from the platform.
Beautiful walk along the brook and to both the top and foot of falls. Great place for kids to climb boulders of varying difficulties. There was still a nice steady stream of water in mid-January.
Relatively close to the city. Nice view of Perth from the hills. Early spring is a good time to visit with the wildflowers around
Beautiful walk and hike. There’s a few trails and approximately 15 mins to get up to the top. Beautiful view of the waterfall, though there wasn’t much of it, so it’s best to come after wet season. Lots of trails to go to.
Beautiful and natural place in Western Australia. Good for morning walks and hiking. You can check your fitness level here. Thank you Mother Nature ️.
The hike on the eastern side is okay. Paths are not well maintained and are overgrown. Western path, approaching from the bottom car park, is seemingly not maintained at all. Crossing the stream to the west is either through the stream or across tree stumps and rocks. No bridge. We made it all of 50m on that side before turning around, due to path not being marked and totally overgrown.
Superb waterfalls
Perfectly family & dog friendly
Parking and pic nic close and well integrated in the park
The view on Perth metro is breathtaking
Enjoy
Enjoyed our visit after some rainfall which made the falls a bit more impressive. It was busy - all car parks full from around 1000 - but once out in the paths it felt quite quiet. The paths are narrow and rugged so you'd want to be sure on your feet before adventuring beyond the viewing balconies. A few big mutts off their leads which was potentially dangerous as the jumped up with dirty paws / pushed past you on the narrow paths with big drops. Most owners were sensible and law abiding by having their dogs on a lead. A good day out, just a short drive from most Perth suburbs and free. Will definitely be going back.
Great for a visit especially during the rainy seasons when the falls are flowing heavy! Great section of trails up and around the Falls, in seemingly deep bushland yet still in view of the city - great juxtaposition and contract in nature. Worth a trip, even on a rainy day!
Great place, especially after a good rain. Great views, good for kids, families and anyone who appreciates the outdoors.
Went just after rains so water was flowing quite well, well enough that we had to jump across the rocks and the crossing for the loop trail.
Beautiful amazing place in nature. Plenty of people but nice friendly vibes. Everyone’s here to take some time out of their busy lives. Good place to reset and become grounded.
Water was flowing has a lot of walking trails good at keeping one fit. Enjoyed the climbs plenty people there and also used a fitness trail good workout
A great destination to visit in Winter (on a nice day!)
Visited mis-August after good rains and the water flow made the visit worthy!
Well laid out and many vantage points!
