Leeming Medical Centre

Website says "Bulk billing for Children <15 years old and Pension card holders" but it turns out this is false advertisement and you have to pay for your child <15 regardless.

This centre has a very nice and friendly environment which makes me feel very comfortable every time I go there. Dr Babu is great as he is so knowledgeable and taking good care of his patients. I have seen him several times recently, in particular my skin/perioral dermatitis issue which annoys me a lot. Dr Babu solved it so quickly. As he said, he is not a GP but a specialist. I totally agree. At one time, I went to the medical centre before 9am as I could not make an appointment but they managed to squeeze me so I saw him quickly. This won't happen in other medical centre. Overall, I am very satisfied with their service, and will nominate him as my GP. Thank you for your good, professional and most importantly, take good care of your patients, Dr Babu and the staff working there.

I recommend anyone with similar symptoms to visit this facility as you will be impressed by the end results

Arranged a last minute weekend booking as I had gotten sick while travelling (ended up only being Bronchitis).
Reception staff and Dr Badu were both excellent - very compassionate and welcoming.
Dr Badu in particular was thorough but quick to diagnose the issue.
As a new patient I will definitely be returning

I had an incredibly positive experience at this clinic! They have really nice receptionist and makes me feels welcome. Dr. Babu, the attending physician, was exceptional. Not only was he incredibly kind and personable, but he also demonstrated a high level of professionalism throughout our visit. I would honestly rate him 10 out of 5 if I could! I highly recommend this clinic to anyone in need of medical care.

The staff here are incredible. Have been coming here for years. They are extremely attentive and go way beyond medical treatment. They really care. Couldn't recommend enough. Thankyou!

The doctor was great, very friendly made my son feel comfortable. However the reception and nurse were rude, found it offensive when I had asked that my son not be given any lollies. They charged me $25 for a 10 minute check up, even though I had Medicare, the reason for it being that they had used a pair of plastic gloves for his check up, and corona virus has made it hard for them financially to keep buying gloves? Weird. I asked why $25 for one pair of gloves out of a whole entire box that probably is worth less than $25, they continued by saying I was being unreasonable, so instead of continuing the conversation I paid the $25 and left. I recently visited the Brentwood medical centre, all staff were great and I asked about this $25 fee, since they had used gloves my check up and they were quite surprised I was charged this fee and couldn't make sense of it.

Today Nov 6th 2021. My daughter just came home in tears after being ridiculed and subjected to disgusting treatment by the manager. She needed a doctor urgently and had no idea it wasn't bulk billed. She tried showing the manager a list that said nothing about having to pay on the visit. This woman refused to even look at the list! My daughter is very honest and always does the right thing. This "woman" treated her abominably! Considering reporting her to the the AMA. Absolutely disgusted! I've noticed other negative reviews here as well, so clearly there is INDEED a problem with this practice. Will be warning as many people as I can. Shame on you for treating my beautiful daughter in such a reprobate manner! You will lose a lot of clients I believe, as there ARE other private practices that bulk bill.

I have visited this centre for my 3 years son on Sunday, they have charged me $95 and didn’t give me receipt to lodge Medicare rebate, the receptionist said will lodge it directly, however they rang me in the afternoon and advised I have to pay $150! And Dr made a mistake on the charge! Now they’ve told me won’t lodge medicare rebate till I pay the extra!
Dr. Babu was deliberately held us in his office longer than required and gave prescriptions that was meant to be for kids (this is a consultation from two other GP)

The treatment I have received from Dr Babu and his team has been honest, genuine and clinically very sound. I walked in with an issue that other GPs refused to help with and Dr Babu took great care with a smile. I don't mind paying above the Medicare rebate for quality. It costs a lot to run a business and these costs are not always completely covered by Medicare especially when you are a small family practice.

This is the worse reception services I never had it before, the Indian lady was so rude, when we find out her website system have some problems but she denied and raise up her voice to argue back. Keep telling us if we leave or cancel the appointment we have to pay it too. We are trying to solve the problem and pointing out there were no pop out reminder non-bulk-bill (weekend) when we booking for my 3 years old girl who is new patient too, but she argue back is our fault didn’t read the pop out notice clearly in the date selection section, she mention that she make the website so she confirmed there have the reminder after select date. However, we show her there is no reminder until the booking is finished. Then She notice there are no reminder and tell us different excuses, tell us this is not her fault and she can’t do anything’s for us, just leave us aside n serve to other ppl. Asking for supervisor who able to help us and she just ignore us. When we asking her name and she reply “I not going to tell u my name! ”. All our conversation she replying impolitely and always raise up her voice. We will not visit this medical central again.

My 11 year old daughter loves Dr Babu and feels very safe and very cared for every time we have needed to make an appointment - for various reasons over the last year. She thinks he is the best doctor in the world, and really appreciates the kindness from all of the nurses and staff towards her. She also loves that they have an amazing fish tank for children to enjoy in the waiting area. She would recommend this centre to everyone!

I miss Dr. Kim Kwa - best GP I've ever had. So empathic, kind, helpful and professional. Having a good relationship with my medical advisors is really important to me, but since moving to Sydney years and years ago, I haven't been able to find anyone as good as Dr. Kwa!

I witnessed an unprovoked attack from the female Indian owner of the practice. She was verbally and physically aggressive towards another person and I was horrified. I would not recommend going anywhere near this business.

I wish we could put negative stars, it doesn't even deserve half a star.

Excellent medical centre. Prompt service and patient care. The Staff from the RN, Reception and Doctors are extremely professionals. I highly recommend this medical centre esp If you are looking for a family GP and 100% healthcare service.

I would just give no star if I could.

Booked into this medical centre due to other medical centre are closed after 5pm.

Seems like the doctor knows nothing at all, could not recall his name, who was an Indian looking doctor.

I will never come back even they become bulk billing.

Wasting my time and money.

Got an appt for my 6 year old son here one evening in sept as we live close by. I asked the young girl receptionist over the phone if they take new patients she said yes so i booked my son in. We drove there for 6: 30pm. The clinic was empty. At the counter the same girl who was on the phone earlier said to me " We charge children's appointment. It's adult fee around $75/$85 minus $6/$7 dollars. (Can't really remember the exact fee). She could have let me know over the phone! I cancelled my son's appointment on the spot and drove 7 mins up the road to a walk in bulk billed clinic.
It's Ridiculous! All other private gp clinics we've been to bulk bill children under 16 of age regardless of time of visit.

Dr Babu Kothalanka is an amazing doctor. Previously I was seeing several different bulk billing doctors but realised that I should have a doctor who will be able to build a much more detailed profile of my health. I had an eye issue and Dr Babu had the confidence to treat me rather than refer me. For a clinic to be open so late shows his dedication as a GP as well. I am very happy! All the staff are so warm and friendly as well.
