Leeman Fish & Chips reviews
44Have had fish from coast to coast with taties and toast, Leeman fish and chips I rate the most
My top 3 places in Australia to have fish and chips. Fresh and local of course, next to the ocean, and delicious.
Whiting and chips, boat shack, perfect batter, local fish undoubtedly fresh. Trust me I’m a fisherman.
Our large family group received great service and food. Leeman has always had great fish and chips, the new owners are well on track to keeping this way.
We got the shark and it was the best bit of shark iv had in a long time. It was soft and juicy and the batter was thick, crunchy and not at all oily, would highly recommend
I really enjoyed this humble fish and chips shop better than the ones in Geraldton! Got the fisherman’s basket ($28 but upgraded to whiting for $36. They also had Dhufish on the menu for $40) which included fish, chips, prawns, scallops, calamari and crab sticks. Batter was crunchy, and chips still crispy even after a 10min drive. The owner is a one-man show but waiting wasn’t long. Canned drinks were $3.50 ea and sauces $2.50 ea.
Called into this little fish & chip shop on the way to Dongara. Taylor and chips $12.absolutely delicious. Would certainly recommend
We ordered fisherman's basket. The taste is perfect and also, the boss is supr nice. I would highly recommend this fish & chips.
Best fish & chips.
Good size servings.
Great to sit & watch the sunset over the ocean from the bench seat with a byo
We just had the most divine fish and chips from this shop. The kingfish was fresh and lightly battered, crispy, served with crunchy chips
in good old butcher's paper. Served by 2 very friendly ladies. Thank you!
Chips way over cooked, they also seemed different to the last time i went here. Fish was to the same degree and they covered my food with heaps of salt when i explicitly rejected it. I will say this appeared to be the result of one person on the fryer with non stop customers. Still though, for the price paid very dissapointing.
The fish was exceptional. Such a light thin batter. The chips were good too.
I was actually recommended to try, by a customer that overheard I'd be travelling to Leeman.
So there you go, word of mouth from 3.5 hours away. Now that's great fish and chips. ️
As always a cracking serve of fish and chips. Batter is perfect and fish is fresh. Can't ask for much more than that
Best little fish and chip shop!
The lady was super friendly
I got chips and a side salad, soooo good. Chips hot and crunchy, and the salad, best salad I've got as a side.
Chips, salad, 12 squid rings and huge pile of chips, 2 coffees, $30
DEFINITELY recommend it, well worth the trip.
First class. The meal was cooked to perfection, and the ingredients fresh as fresh can be. The price is fair for the quality of the meal. The staff were excellent local country folk who own and run the business from scourcing the local fare to the end product in a fun and friendly atmosphere of pure rustic character filled eaterie. Congratulations to all concerned.
Great fish (we had the whiting), awesome value, friendly service & good value.
Definitely recommend
Delicious fresh fish and chips - great little cafe - lovely service- great stop on the drive north or south
Food was OK, but I was disappointed by what I got for the money spent. My pink Snapper was $17 grilled and pretty small. $20 with chips - check pictures. And sauces were extra!
Never dream of a place like that, that I can have so good fish and chips. I will go back if I'm going north again.
I was on my way home from Geraldton and decided to see what was available in Leeman. I came across the Fish & Chip shop and decided to indulge as I hadn’t chips for quite some time. I ordered a serve of Dhu Fish and a serve of Chips and stuck in a couple of Dim Sims. I took my dinner out to my car and was surprised with the generous portion sizes. Well I took a bite of my first chip, beautiful and crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. The best chips I have ever had. I then tasted the Dhu Fish and OMG I thought I had died and gone to heaven: What a fabulous meal. I shall return and this will become a regular stop over when passing through. Thank you very much.
