Leaf Café Cockburn

We had a simple breakfast: scrambled eggs on toast and a breakkie burger, iced coffee and blended iced chocolate. It was super delicious!

The staff were lovely and guided us to a seat, gave us menus.

The burger was packed flavour, they were generous with the fillings. The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly, seasoned well with butter flavour and chives on top, and the sour dough bread was lovely.

The drinks were great, especially the blended iced chocolate!

The breakfast was cooked to perfection, the service was fast, the coffee was great and the staff were friendly and attentive, overall a great cafe, we really enjoyed our visit.

I ordered an iced coffee to dine in. The coffee was very nice but unfortunately served in a cardboard cup with a straw that was soggy in 5 minutes. If I'm paying $8: 50 I would expect it served in a proper glass. Really disappointed. Definitely won't be back.

Highly recommend this new found gem. Food was fresh, delicious, interesting ingredient combinations (not same same) -quite gourmet! I had the TRUFFLE MUSHROOM BRUSCHETTA-so good- and chai latte. Efficient and friendly service, by really lovely people who were there to actually serve! Definitely will be returning.

The fritters were under seasoned, both raw and over cooked at the same time, and incredibly oily,
The coffee was burnt and the bacon on my friends meal was almost raw

Wouldn’t recommend

We’ve been here a couple times now and the foods been delicious every time. Out quick and great drinks too. Service is nothing special but wouldn’t say it’s bad. Place looks great too.

As someone who regularly count calories, I really really appreciate the length they go through to put the calorie content of each menu items.

The zucchini fritters at ~300 calories caught my attention fast because it’s very rare to find breakfast menu with this low calorie, that isn’t just an egg on toast. It also tastes great and is well portioned. The only complaint was my poached egg was not runny: (

The mushroom crumpet is nice except that the crumpet is too thick. So it wasn’t well balanced. The bowl of fries is also a bit bland and unfortunately they do not provide chicken salt.

On another upside, serving is quite generous. We ordered side of bacon and it came with two slices which was plenty.

I wish they could add kids breakfast menu such as simple bacon and egg on toast that is kids size. Would be better.

Service was great and waitresses were very attentive. Place is clean and well designed.

Tips: do NOT order using the app as you will be charged about 3-5% processing fee.

Apart from that, we definitely will be coming back!

UPDATE 11/12/23: The first two visits our poached eggs had a firm yolk. I prefer it runny (as most people do) but didn’t make a fuss about it. Today I specifically asked for runny yolk, it did came back runny but the egg whites weren’t cooked throughly either so it was rather unpleasant. Looks like they need to train up the chef with the egg poaching:/

All round great lunch, a bit pricey but the food was good quality and the staff were friendly. Best Salted Caramel Milk Shake ever

I could not fault this beautiful cafe. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was absolutely delicious

The reason why I'm leaving this review is because my salad (roast vegetables salad) was very small and for $23 I would expect a full plate, especially for lunch time.
Unfortunately, I got not even half plate of vegetables. There was more nuts than vegetables and all together was not what I was expecting.
The place looks nice but they have to realise, they are in the shopping centre and no one is coming there for the visuals, but for a meal that's supposed to fill you up.

Maybe it was because it was busy on a Saturday, but the person taking the order seemed angry.
I don't know much about the food since I haven't ordered it, but the coffee was okay.

Lovely coffe, but a tad on the pricier side.overall really friendly staff and comfy atmosphere.

Unfortunately we had a very disappointing experience.

We walked in, a lady asked if we are dining in, we said yes, so she gave us a couple of menu booklet and showed us to our table.

We never heard from her and I was watching everyone order by the counter, so I got up and ordered our after lunch indulgence.

We ordered banana bread slice, strawberry tart and a couple of cold milk drinks (iced coffee and Belgian white chocolate).

5min later the banana bread and strawberry tart arrived. 10min later, I looked up, I can't see our drinks. Another 5min passed, by that time my partner already finished his sweets. Another 5min later I finished mine. So 20min had passed and no drinks. I went to the counter, and a lady just finished making a glass of iced coffee. There was a guy in front of me so I waited for 2-4minutes. After serving the guy, she picked up the iced coffee and she looked like looking for a number. So I asked is that for table 16? Iced coffee? She said yes. I said we have been waiting for over 20min. All she said was, "we are understaffed, one girl just left" in a cranky sour face. No sorry no apologies. So I said, OK well.where is the Belgian white chocolate? She just hurridly went back to counter. So I had to bring the iced coffee in our table.
Another 5min passed, I looked up, two ladies looking confused and looking at the white milkshake looking both confused (which I'm guessing was my Belgian white chocolate drink). So another different girl brought our last order, she said White Chocolate shake? I said Thanks. Again no apologies.
Our milk drinks don't even have any ice nor cold. It feels like room temperature milk. The barrista girl looked cranky and upset. She must be having a bad day but doesn't mean she has to pass on her bad service to customers. Very disappointed.

Staffing was good, atmostphere clean, food was alright but the portioning for one of the most expensive dishes is outrageous. The chorizo prawn pasta has to be the most overpriced dish yet, I even had to get up and question the portion size for the price. Decent dish overall, definitely not worth the price. Rest of our dishes were good.

Food tasted really good and we were served with our order with in 10 minutes of ordering! So pretty quick with their service. Coffee tastes great

Beautiful atmosphere, delicious coffee, and the best service you could ask for! This has become my favourite coffee shop for sure!
