Absolutely love this place. Consistently great food, awesome customer service.
If we don't know where to go for breakfast, we always choose this place and know 100% we will have full tummy and will be happy with everything we order.

I don’t get the hype of this place. Feels old in a bad way. Staff are depressed, food looked uninspired. There’s plenty better on offer close by that better warrants your time and money.

Convenient to where I live as it's just few minutes down the road and always happy with the service. Coffee is really strong and food caters to dietary requirements. I also like that they usually puts aside the marshmallows for hot chocolate as I usually forget to ask not to have it in. Love the friendly staff. Definitely recommend

One of my favourites for breakfast in the area, dependable and always some interesting dishes.
Coffee isn't quite as great as some spots, but now I'm nitpicking

I stopped in to observe the cafe while having a coffee and 2 things I noticed quite quickly.

1st thing, the guy making coffee makes a superb cup no doubt but he is not happy here.
2nd thing, the reason the guy is not happy is because his boss, the owner "with blond hair" berated him in full view of the customers saying "Sam why stand there, do something instead of wasting time" The guy stopped for a moment while there was a slow period, this owner needs to consider how her café appears to the customers and based on my view and the previous reviews here, its not good!
Be professional and always keep your problems out of view of the customer, you have a great Café, recognise your staff strengths and stop with the public aggression its unprofessional.

Sadly the quality of coffee has really dropped off since about March 2018. Too many orders have come out wrong and/or just bad, which is a shame given how reliable they had been for so long.

They first got my order wrong, poched eggs were hard and a bad service. When I complained about my wrong order, the manager said: "don't worry, it's the same price" (instead of fixing the problem)

Amazed that the woman with long blonde hair behind the counter was arguing with a customer over spinach leaves.claimed she was the owner but was very rude and inconsiderate - hard to believe someone in hospitality could be so unpleasant to customers.
Food and coffee is usually good but can be inconsistent - also they close really early in the afternoon.

Always friendly, always a tasty range of food and drink options. I love coming here for a coffee and a read! The cafe of choice in My Hawthorn in my opinion.

Incredibly rude woman behind the counter. Rare to find anyone working with people that is so dismissive of customers and their issues. Maybe she has other problems that affect her behavior but that is no excuse for treating the business customers so badly.have noticed other reviewers refer to her as well - blonde hair, heavy or pregnant.disappointed that she would treat a regular so horribly. Spoils the visit and makes a good place miserable.

Great coffee! Breakfast menu is delicious. Friendly and good service in a cafe that has a great vibe!
