Duck liver parfait is fire. The duck and frites are bomb. Service was great and attentive and the vibes were immaculate One of the best restaurants in Perth. Been twice and so far consistently good.

We were looking for a last-minute replacement for a special midweek occasion and heard good things about La Rebelle so went ahead and booked. Be aware they do ask for a credit card authorisation as part of your booking. The restaurant is relatively small but very reminiscent of intimate neighbourhood bistros is Melbourne (or possibly France).

Located on Beaufort Street, just north of the Astor Theatre. As it was a Wednesday night there was available on-street parking but that might be an issue on a weekend. The restaurant itself oozes old-world character as so as you enter the door. There are three tiers, with an open central set of stairs linking them all. We were seated at the smaller quieter tables down the back, which gave us a view over the bar and other diners - perfect for a romantic meal. I purposely booked a later sitting so that we didn't feel rushed.

The menu is fairly simple with only a small range of dishes. You can go with a set menu at $95/head or select your dishes - we went with the later to ensure we had our own choice. We went with the crab toast (not my normal choice but based on other reviews) which was absolutely delicious - fluffy and moist - the perfect appetiser. For entrees we consumed the cured kingfish, with caviars, oyster cream, and finger lime; and the steak tartare, with cognac and horseradish. The waitress recommended I swap the frites for some toast, which was a great suggestion. Both dishes made our tastebuds want more. Then for mains we had the fish of the day (barramundi) with venus clams, saffron & bouillabaisse sauce; and the glazed Wagin duck, frites, & bearnaise sauce. The duck was so succulent - perfectly cooked and I could have licked the glaze off the plate. There was an excessive amount of frites (not that we left any) and I felt that there could have been a more complimentary accompaniment. My wife however was not as impressed by the fish.

We ended up ordering deserts - why wouldn't you - selecting the sorbets (cherry and coconut) and for me the fromage selection, a delightful crumbly sheep's cheese - the relish wasn't my favourite, but the marmalade was.

Credit should also go to the wait staff, they were personable and attentive. Always making sure our water and wine glasses were topped up and giving us suggestions on the dishes.

I enjoyed have a special dinner, where the dishes and staff weren't pretentious - just familiar European food with an emphasis on quality.

What added to our delightful experience was our decision to drop in without a reservation. Fortunately, luck was on our side, and they had a table available for us. That spontaneous decision set the tone for a wonderful evening.

The highlight, of course, was the food. The flavors were nothing short of delicious. The French style of cooking is undeniably delightful, though it does fill you up quickly. Each dish was a culinary masterpiece that left our taste buds craving for more.

One small hiccup in our experience was the menu, which was entirely in French. It was a bit challenging to decipher, but to our rescue came the manager. She took the time to explain each dish in detail, making our selection process much more manageable. Her assistance was invaluable.

North of Perth, Western Australia, Mt. A fusion-style French Restaurant & Bar located in the Lawley shopping area. 'Le Rebelle' means 'rebel' in French, but I'm a bit curious why they named it differently. It is known as a good restaurant for locals in Western Australia, so it is a place many people visit. When you enter the entrance, the tables and seats are arranged in a three-tiered staircase, which is a unique internal structure. The interior is not very spacious, but many wine bottles and wine glasses are displayed, and the overall dark yellow walls and brown wooden tables are harmoniously mixed. The variety of food is not very diverse, but it is enough to choose according to your taste. The food is generally good, but the quantity is not large and the price is a bit on the expensive side. The staff treats guests in a friendly and friendly manner.

It’s nice, but not amazing. The night we went it was extremely noisy, service was below par and food was also very rushed. At the price we paid we expected a lot more

Sarah was amazing! Accomodated us last minute with a table. Duck and Escargot was worth the wait! Will definitely go back and try the steak.

The wagon duck is a must try, so delicious, but we are not fan of steak tartare. One thing to remember is you can't take away for anything left over.

Came here for my birthday, the service and food was excellent. Probably the best service I have had at a restaurant, I cannot wait to come back.

What a beautiful dining experience. The restaurant itself is lovely and the food was outstanding. We had the crab toast, duck frites and gnocchi. Highly recommend for a French feed.

Casually fancy, spectacular food, warm and inviting layout but with stock stored in the restaurant. Terrific knowledgeable and very helpful service, they have a sense of humor and always come by at the right time. Definitely order the duck, crab and the creme caramel and you will be raving about this hip place like we are. Fun date place, they don't have a lot of big tables. Nice wine list too if you're into a glass with your meal.

Loved everything! Especially the chocolate tart, I don’t normal like like it because it’s always too sweet elsewhere but they made it so perfect and that cream on top omg

Great service too, very attentive and friendly staff

Lovely French bistro with really good food; duck confit is simply amazing, skin is so crispy and meat is super juicy and tender. Other dishes like steak tartare, salad, crab toast were also yum. Wine list could be better - most of French wine are fairly expensive but with only average review scores on Vivino. I would definitely go back for the duck!

Couldn't have faulted our waiter, so attentive and pre-emptive with our requirements.
Food was amazing as always, crab toast for the win!

Super tasty, attentive service and exceptional wine list. I would have loved to have been able to have a longer seating than 90 minutes, as we were enjoying ourselves so much. Due to the time frames we were unable to order more wine or desserts, with a swift 15 mins to eat our mains, the offer of an outside table was given and if it had of been a barmy summers night this would have been a great offer. A 2 hour seating would be ideal due to the high level of service and care put into each part of Le Rebelle, none the less I am looking forward to coming back again soon.

This place is a true gem. My partner and I dined here about a month ago. Kudos to the kitchen team for plating up eye watering dishes that hit the spot time after time. However, what truly sets this cosy joint apart from the rest is the service. That American guy can take a bow. Best service we have experienced in years hence the reason I have decided to write a review. Cheers to the team
