This place only accepts referrals from people who are rich with mild mental health concerns. Yes, private practices benefit enormously from being able to choose clients and essentially exclude certain types of people from being accepted into the system.

It is really sad how many private practices go down this route of least effort for maximum return. In an ideal world, it should be if you are willing to commit the time and resources, then you deserve a chance to get help you need.

Sonja was able to grasp complex extended family dynamics very quickly, and offer practical suggestions for myself and for dealing with those family members and difficult situations. She has been so helpful- very caring and understanding, but also very progressive and proactive - improvements were achieved very rapidly. I can’t recommend her highly enough!

Bev at reception is a superstar! Made me feel comfortable and informed from the first phone call. Thank you Bev. I have only started coming here but I feel very much at home:)

Professional, and timely responses form all the practitioners we dealt with, would highly recommend to anyone to use them.

$300 for the initial session. Was referred to a counsellor however she prefers only to work with OCD. It must be nice to pick and choose your patients.

A thoroughly professional practice and a pleasure to deal with. My experience with Dr Clair Lawson changed my life for the better. Highly recommended.

We have used this practice for a while now, and I have always received excellent service from all staff members. They have always accommodated any extra needs we've had or rebookings of appointments.
I would highly recommend this practice to anyone.

Stay well clear of this practice - the most unethical medical or allied health professionals I've ever had the misfortune to encounter. It's still hard for me to comprehend that a group of people who ostensibly are part of a profession dedicated to helping people, could possess such an uncaring attitude.

In particular, the behaviour of Ms Williams was diabolical - violated numerous ethical standards as set forth by the Australian Psychological Association; clinical negligence; breach of duty of care (on numerous occasions) ; acted shamelessly in sessions by not even pretending that she was interested in what I had to say (in fact, given that she 'tuned out' for virtually the entire session, I'd be surprised if she recalled anything of significance) ; no effort to ensure continuity of my care by providing an onwards referral; etc.

But it's far worse than just one practitioner - the receptionists are atrocious; they will simply ignore 90% of incoming phone calls; and won't get back to you until the following day. I could go on - but I will end by saying that despite numerous attempts to raise my concerns, they were repeatedly ignored. They weren't even acknowledged; despite my best efforts to raise them in the most reasonable and appropriate way that I knew how to. In contrast, as an example, at the new practice where I'm attending, when it came to light that their receptionist was failing to pass on messages in a timely manner, she was sacked on the spot and most of the clients were personally phoned by the principal clinical psychologist and given an apology.
