Lawley's Bakery Cafe - North Beach reviews
35Very cosy and friendly Cafe. Offer heaps of books, newspapers and magazines. Love the great selection of cakes and yummy pastries
Lovely little interlude this morning, had a nice sausage roll and a very tasty blueberry Danish.
Do yourself a favor, go elsewhere. Very poor. Waiting for over 40 mins for 2 breakfast bagels. Had ask if they were ever coming, only to be told they had lost the order. When they did finally arrive they were we’ll below average. Dry and stale. Best avoided.
Third visit to Australia and this was the best breakfast. Great service too and quick well done.
Sadly not enough staff to function working due to covid. Wasn't busy, lunch meals came very late, then half hour apart and wrong coffees. Customer service could be improved. Food was OK.
Bought a chocolate cake for my mum’s birthday yesterday - it was the driest cake we have ever had. Tasted like it was week old. No ganache could save it. A waste of $45 and we chucked it out. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THESE CAKES AT ALL! Go anywhere else, even Woolworths, they’re better than this.
Shocking service. Would not even give this bakery 1 star if it would allow. 25 minutes and still no food. When I queried where the sausage roll and 2 sandwiches were the cashier couldn’t even be bothered to look at me. Turns out they hadn’t even started with the order plus they had it wrong, only one sandwich instead of two. Suggest management puts a bit more time into training staff and effort into managing the bakery.
Worst breakfast EVER but worse than that, they just didn’t listen to our constructive complaint, even when we gave them a chance to remedy the situation.
My myself and mates frequent several breakfast cafes across Perth.
This place has always been average, but this time it was atrocious (disgusting). Eggs were hard and cold. Avocado and tomatoes, straight out the fridge. Toast was soft and soggy. Bacon (an extra $5 per serving) less than half a rasher in size and dripping with fat!
No “sorry” (after we constructively complained about it) No remedy given by the manageress.
We often spend $90 - $150…. Plus for breakfast at cafes, just for the three of us. Never NEVER again at this place! Coffee, maybe but NEVER an English breakfast or any cooked food. Waste of money!
Breakfast is very hit n miss.
Some days I come in and my breaky is served beautifully, with rocket, seasoned mushrooms, plenty of bacon and well cooked sausages.
Today it looked like something served at a budget smoko shop
Takes way too long to get served in the morning on the way to work. The item you enjoyed the previous day may not be there the following day. A number of people walking in, taking a look, waiting a number of minutes, can see they're not going to get ser Rd anytime soon, then walking off.
Service way too slow, 20 minutes for 2 takeaway coffees. The young guy at the counter had a poor attitude to boot.
Great spot! Lots of trendy expensive cafes on the strip but here you can buy really great coffee and very yummy food bread and cakes and it won't break the bank.
Had to wait a good half hour before breakfast came out. Ordered a side of mushrooms and received maybe 5 small mushrooms - the mushrooms themselves were delicious, but the long wait combined with a tiny serving left me rather unhappy
Asked for the ham and salad sandwhich to just have ham, onion and cheese, nothing else. I didn’t get any cheese or onion and instead a mountain full of different salads - one of them being beetroot that I’m extremely allergic to. Also no straw for my milkshake. The donut was nice but was a waste of $30: (
Lovely breakfast, omelette was really tasty.very affordable and good customer service.we will be back.
Coffee is reliably good here - we drop in at least once a week - and it's also hot (a failing elsewhere). But the place needs a good clean! Even when we were first c customers early one morning, the tables and chairs were littered with crumbs and sticky with old food spills.
Used to be great. Fallen by the wayside. Ripping off by making cakes much smaller but over charhing over what they used to cost! Swear they are using lowend coffee now too. Times are tough we all know that but you have stuffed up by cheating. Shame on you.
Really good. Had a pastie, spinach and ricotta roll and a nutella donut. The pastries were pretty good, especially the spinach roll. The nutella donut was phenomenal, most nutella donuts from other bakeries have barely any nutella in them. The one I got here had a lot, even maybe too much but that also mean's that you get your money's worth!
Our first time patronising this cafe. I ordered a large Caesar Salad and a large wedges. Thought maybe 20 minutes of waiting at the max but it took longer than that. Was shocked when the salad arrived. I thought being a large salad should be okay to feed one person but it was not enough to feed a child. So disappointed that I took a photo including stale bread as croutons.
