Lancelin North End Caravan Park reviews
30I called to ask info about availability and prices and a woman answered in a pretty harsh way and hung up the phone. Not friendly staff at all!
Stayed overnight amenities dated but clean, roomy site, close to pub with good meals and view of ocean. Price was fair for my site. Jans a helpful great bubbly lady. Will I fo back. YES. Also sunset was beautifull.
Stayed one night and it was fine. Good proximity to the beach but no real protection from the winds off the coast. Toilets were old and rundown and the kitchen is sub par. Very expensive for what you get given the quality of services provided.
1 Clean toilets and functional hot showers, old but work fine.
2 The lady that runs it is pleasant enough (don't let the other reviews stop you, we can all have a bad day!)
3 No camp kitchen, bring your own cooking stuff. There is a functional hot water wash basin to clean your dishes. Public hot plate bbq fairly close by.
4 Great location. The beach and dunes of course with the pub next door great spot for a Sundowner, bowl of hot chips for the kids.
5 You will need to actually phone to book this one. The lady is polite, respectfully asks you to bring cash and advises you of the good price.
Overall a worthy five stars for a family of five from Perth looking for an easy camp spot for the long weekend, not too pricey. Thank you.
I have visited this place for over a decade. Do not know the owners by name or reputation.
It is an unpretentious venue which I will always return to over and above any other in Lancelin.
If you want to get away from rules and regulations and lead a relaxing life style come to this caravan park, no frills no fuss! Management friendly.
Fantastic location right on the beach, very clean maintained toilets and have own recycling system which is rare to see in caravan parks, lovely people, friendly management, nice sized plots, grass was great given it was January and some concrete slabs available, and over the dunes is a wonderful beach, 100m from the nearest pub!
I'm giving this park a 5* review, it doesn't need to be a 5* hotel to get a 5* star rating, sensational value, didn't increase price for peak period - it was ONLY $35 per night.
Well done to the management on the upkeep, I highly recommend this park, I feel it's fair to base the rating you give on the experience you have not the standard when stars are given.
My personal view - IGNORE THE NEGEATIVES! And go enjoy yourself, we'll see you in April again!)
Thank you for looking after us and keeping the park in great condition!
Lovely staff. Amenities were clean and smelt great. Excellent price compared to other surrounding sites.
Great place to stay if your in Lancelin, a little old in places but you get what you pay for, still clean and well looked after. Would recommend, it's not trying to be anything other than what it is.
Like real estate it's all about location. Walk over hill to beach and nice hotel. Shady camp sites. No dogs in park. Very quiet at night. Toilet and laundry old style but cheaper than other park. Walk to town for coffee supplies easily.
Would not recommend at all horrible facilities rude owners an was not happy when paid $35 for a bad experience the other place in lancilin is a amazing only $45 an was amazing
Always friendly and accomodating, its not the Ritz but it does what it should at a reasonable rate.
Excellent. The man who checked us in was lovely and bent some rules for us because of our circumstances. All the negative feedback must be from people who would find fault with anything they had to pay for. Arrogance at it's finest. Don't be put off by the negative comments.
Quiet no frills can spread yourself around. No annoying 4star chain park with stuff u don't need close to beach and pub.
It was not a pleasant place to stay as the facilities are really old, dirty and not looked after.
There is no kitchen and despite lots of available spaces we were asked to camp in an area which was out of the caravan park.
Terrible, terrible place. Called in to see if my partner and I could pay for a shower after we had been sand boarding. We didn’t plan on staying in town due to other arrangements. The woman at the office (who I assume is the owner) was incredibly rude and proceeded to accuse us of camping on the side of the road to avoid paying for campsites (which we have NEVER done) the fact that we wanted to pay to use the showers to help support the business and still received this response is honestly awful. I wouldn’t have minded if she had politely declined but we found her to be an extremely rude, vile woman. We obviously didn’t end up staying at this campsite but from what we could see the place looked incredibly run down and dated. Wouldn’t recommend unless you like being spoken to like dirt.
What a gem. It is peaceful (except for the sound of the ocean very close by), clean and perfect. The owner is very obliging. We are not paying for all the fancy stuff we dont need or use. We love it here.
Perfect for a weekend getaway, friendly staff and great amenities. Walk to the dunes, beach or pub, great location!
Lovely place, clean shared restrooms. Very kind management. Close to the local pub and city center. Will definately book again.
Very rude, we used the fire place provided and its burnt the grass a little bit, didnt think it was a big deal coz it wasnt even big.she had a go at us saying it gonna take 5years to grow back now.
Also had a heater that we had going in the morning and couldnt pack it up as it was too hot, so we told the owner that we are going to leave it there and pick it and in the arvo. Yep all g, but when we came back to collect it at 1pm, she came and told us we were being too loud, driving in and disturbing people even though there was alot of sound from the dunes and only 2 cars in the caravan park wayyyy out the very back
