This is a fantastic primary school. I cannot think of one thing that could be improved. The standard of education is top-notch and the nurturing school ethos and supportive community make it a positive educational experience. Our children are so lucky to be at a school where they love learning and are surrounded by dedicated teachers and kind friends. It will set them up for life.

The projects, the holistic approach, the excursions, the sense of community, the heritage building, the bush school, the afternoons at the park, the open-mindness and warmth with an amazing team of educators.are only SOME of the reasons why my daughter loves going to Lance Holt! I, as a parent could not be more happier!

Our boys love going to Lance Holt, School where they enjoy a positive education. The teachers and the school community are fantastic, as a family we love the whole school camps at Rotto and Busselton!

Teachers who care deeply about their pupils and their well-being; great sense of community; children who are happy, confident and engaged.

LHS is everything a school should aspire to be. The teachers are committed to helping children develop all aspects of their growth - intellectual, emotional and community-focused.

A delightful and safe place, where children lead the way in their learning journeys. The learning is lived and experienced, not just taught. The children are allowed and encouraged to be themselves, to think critically, to be creative, to be seen and to be heard. Highly recommend the experience at Lance Holt School.

We couldn't be happier with this lovely community school. I really do wish that I had gone to school here as a child. Our children are so lucky. They love school. The teachers are all amazing and the kids get to learn through play and inquiry in fun and engaging ways. They spend lots of time in nature at beach school, river school and bush school. Their friends are all kind and supportive kids. I see how much they learn and how how confident they are and I bless the day we decided to enrol in Lance Holt School.

We love Lance Holt School! Our children have been at the school since they were wee 3yr olds and are almost ready to graduate. Our children have the incredible opportunity to be taught by gifted teachers that inspire a love of learning, a sense of social justice and a connection to the natural environment. Lance Holt uses a Positive Education approach which means our children's social and emotional growth are considered throughout the learning experiences and environment. Our children love going to school, they have a real sense of belonging and connection to their teachers, their friends and the Lance Holt community. It will be a hard day for our family when we say goodbye to Lance Holt.

Our daughter attends Lance Holt School, and as a family we treasure the school, the teachers, and the supportive and loving community of which we are a part. She absolutely loves going to school, and her love for the school has never faltered in all her pre-school and primary years. Our young son will soon begin his own journey at Lance Holt School, and we couldn't be happier to have many more years ahead of us of thoughtful, knowledgeable, caring teachers and deeply considered learning experiences. We chose this small independent school because of its strong values: teachers and children are viewed as researchers and not passive consumers of curriculum; school is viewed as a democratic community, and children's rights are at the centre of the school's pedagogy; participation of families is encouraged and sustained, and connections with the Fremantle community are core, so that the children are recognised and seen within the city itself; children's connections with nature are nurtured both in the school itself and outside in beach and bush settings. The urban setting in a heritage listed building is very special, and rich in opportunities for connections with the community.

Lance Holt is a unique jewel of a school. The children start each day with a brief meeting, which they run. They all know each other, because the community is small enough for each child to be seen and heard. They go to bush school, beach school and river school. They are aware and respectful of the Whadjuk land they live on. They are educated in the heart of Fremantle and use the city's resources on a daily basis. Every child graduates giving a stunning speech about how much they have loved their school life and their beautiful teachers. I so envy my kids and wish I could have gone to Lance Holt!

I couldn't recommend Lance Holt School highly enough. I have three children there and all three are thriving socially, emotionally and academically. Every one of them loves school so much and each teacher (all the way through) has been truly excellent. The teachers are very child focused and nurturing but also thorough and skilled in supporting children to reach their academic potential. One of the things that I value most about the school is the focus on positive education. It is a very happy school. The children communicate well and are listened to and respected. Each of my children have lovely peer groups of balanced and happy kids. Every day at school is a great day according to my kids and it makes me happy to see that they are happy, confident and genuinely interested in everything that they are learning.
