Lake Monger Reserve reviews
13 Beautiful conservation wetlands in West Leederville. Fantastic for walks, fitness, cycling, and picnics.
There's a massive amount of wildlife, including the iconic swans, as well as board walks, playgrounds, bmx bowls, toilet facilities, and most times, some food trucks.
The reserve is mostly shaded under a canopy of native bush land and set around a beautiful lake.
Allow an hour to complete the circuit.
It's going to be a favourite location for my walks.
Ample parking on most streets. Coffee vendors dotted around the park. Same for water points.
Very nice pump track, better suited to BMX bikes as its quite tight, no problem for other bikes too, just watching all the riders the smaller BMX bikes get the win
Beautifull spot, coffee vans at the lake, acai bowls, plenty to do for kids, bike track and good scenery for fitness.
Sunday archery beside the lake. What a fabulous venue. Easy parking on the perimeter. Football, rugby, bowls and tennis all nearby.
Walk was great and only got better when I spotted shiney Silver object totally flattened Silver mug late 1800 hundred stokes was name of jewelers on mug
Shaded park with play equipment for kids. Some days the Açaí bowl food truck is there for coffees and açaí bowls. Lots of wildlife to enjoy and path to walk. Filtered water for bottle refills.
Lake Monger Reserve is a solid spot. You've got a 3.5km track wrapping around the lake, which is completely flat, so it's perfect for a chill walk or a quick run. The views are fantastic. But heads up, on a good day, it gets pretty packed. Most people are respectful, but occasionally you get those that don't quite get "sharing is caring. " While they've thought about hydration stations for humans, dogs got the short end of the stick. No water attachments for them which is disappointing. Overall it's a really nice place to visit.
Very new and diverse playground. Different zones for various ages. Water play area, slide, wooden climbing frame, flying fox, spinner and a wide flat smooth side walk for all your tricycle fun.
Beautiful lake with a path all the way round and several children's playgrounds. Quite a number of joggers in the mornings and evenings.
It also serves as a water wildlife sanctuary and home to some endangered species.
Lovely views of Perth city from some points and there is an elevated lookout where one can see spectacular sunrise at the precise moments.
Some BBQ areas and facilities, but not many.
3.5km walk around this lovely city lake. Parking places and public toilets. Coffee by the lake cafe and park activities.
3km ish circuit around the lake is ideal for a decent exercise. Plenty of fitness stations for the keen types. Look out for cycling racers. Two toilet stops strategically placed as well.
I spend many hours at the parking area of this beautiful lake watching the lake and the birds!
I went to the male toilet area few times but the light was broken for months. Looks like no one look after that!
Thanks
