Beautiful area in the eastern hills area of Perth. Man made Lake, picnic and camping area. No kiosk anymore so bring all your food and drink requirements. No pets allowed.

Good camping spot, though sadly in Jul 2023 they closed down the cafe, which is a big loss!

Lovely setting, very quiet now, we enjoyed walking 3.5 kms around the lake, the flowers starting to blossom everywhere! Asked to top up our water tank, no problem, our camp site n°22 is enormous so plenty of room to park our Sprinter motorhome near concrete slab.

I love coming to Lake Leschenaultia camp site.
There is a fire pit on every campsite.
Also they are very spacious with electricity available.
Love the clean showers and toilets available.
Lady at the office was lovely.
Only camped during the winter, and looking forward to come back in the summer.

We had a terrible night the first night we stayed because our tent started leaking, we were hoping for a better second night after getting a new tent. But we had a ranger tip 10 litres of water on our fire that we lit at 4.30pm. He told us that we should have recieved a text message of the information about lighting fires but we didn't recieve any information from anyone on this letting us know that fires are only permitted between 6pm-10pm. We also arrived at 7pm on the first night so didn't get to speak to anyone. We couldn't relight the fire no matter what we tried. We emptied it completely and still nothing. 6 kids ended up very disappointed from not being able to roast marshmallows and we froze completely and had to turn a little heater on inside our tent to keep everyone warm. First camping trip for my little one who has been restricted due to her heart condition. Disappointed.

Love this place, big plots all powered excellent facilities, camp kitchen has fridge freezers, hot showers plus drinking water, swimming, walking, kayak hire, cafe, good walks and BMX mountain biking, camp fires on each site, down side hard to knock tent pegs in even with the help of a drill, close to home for a sneaky get away

Lovely place to stay in and have fun, we were there for a day trip from Perth.
Totally worth it, take your swimming gear, bikes and stuff for Barbie.
And relax and enjoy the view.

Great place for camping. Beautiful lake and well maintained facilities. However, our stay there was met with a big group of rowdy campers, getting all drunk and wasted, blasting loud music all the way till 2am in the morning on both nights!
If you are after booze and loud music, please head to your local pub, don't go camping.
If you are after peaceful and quiet camp spot, this is not for you.
The ranger was quick to act on our complaint the next day.

Great place for swimming or just a picnic. Beautiful water. Sectioned off area for swimmers if you don't want to be near the kayaks and SUP's. Small pontoon for jumping off. Clean water. Lots of bird life. Trees spotted around for shade. Not many bbqs available.

Great location. Tent camp sites are all compact pea gravel and really hard so you’ll need heavy duty pegs and/ or a drill- would be better to have a shade cloth base for the tents.

Staff are friendly and it’s a bonus having a nice cafe right on the doorstep. For the price you pay the shower block needs a revamp- missing basics like shelves and multiple hooks in all shower cubicles. The camp fire is a win.

It’s a really tight camp so expect to hear all the talking and other sounds that other campers may make.

All in all a nice spot to camp but for the money better facilities required.

Used to be a great place. Now taken over by bogans. Rangers mostly complicit or missing in action. Not safe for kids. Kids throwing stones at birds and wildlife in front of rangers. Unbelievable.
And camping prices are ridiculous especially for the substandard rangers that control the place.

Beautiful campground at the lake. Good warm shower, all is very clean. Bench and tables everywhere. BBQ. The lady from the reception so friendly and helpful, amazing. 20 Dollar the night. Becareful with the birds, they want steal your food out of the hand. So quiet in the night wunderbar.

It's really nice place. Camp site staffs are very kind and friendly. Toilets and kitchen are clean. Also be able to take shower. I was going to take astronomy pics near lake at night but it was little bit dangerous because of birds. If u want take astronomy pic, should be careful lol. I took pic at #2. I think #3 and #12,13 are bigger and flat sites than another sites

It’s a really beautiful place to cheer out with friends, but we didn’t notice the gate would be shut half an hour after sunset, we stayed until ten o’clock sitting in front of the lake, when we drove out found the gate was shut and we couldn’t get out. Then decided to go back to camp for one night. The lady who works there came to our car said you should have get out of here before sunset. She was so angry and said she won’t invite us to come back again. Thank her to open the gate for us, and this is the first time we were told we’re not welcome to come here.
It’s a really beautiful place and everyone loves the nature I would recommend to come here, but check the gate shut time. Cheers

My favourite camp site, drive distance within 1hour from perth city.
Camp site is near lake leschenaultia, all powered site, great facilities (kitchen, fridge, bbq, clean toilets, shower and hot water)
Great activity for kids, swim, picnic, mountain bike and walking.

It's so calming to be able to pack up and head here for a few nights. Conveniently close to Perth with really lovely staff and gorgeous location. Plenty of activities or simply perfect for doing nothing at all.
