Lake Joondalup Baptist College

My son is in year 5 at lake joondalup. I am really impressed with the school, the discipline and manners of students is great, support from teachers with students excellent, professional and highly recommend to any one wanting to send their children here. It's a beautiful school

Love the school besides the fact I failed art, a math test, humanities test, science, and applied design.

So instead of taking the blame for myself,
I am going to blame the teachers. (Jokes)

Not very cool, doesn't allow students to feel comfortable eating during breaks, forces us in cramped spaces.

They have the most amazing Year 11 Integrated Science program giving students the opportunity to design, 3D Print and build their own fully functioning aquaponics system. I was thoroughly impressed when I went to visit.

Look i loved my time at lj I really did! The teachers were amazing also the support system from within the school is amazing sad to be leaving but I wish everyone all the best in the future ️

Awful planning. Students are promised wellbeing days throughout the year as per the college website. The college has poorly planned this years event for the year 11's placing it on a day where many students have work placement and TAFE. The planning itself has been awful but even worse students have been told to just skip TAFE which seems severely unprofessional.edit - I was interrogated and threatened to take this review down and I was cornered into a room, I was taken out of a class for this. The teacher was returning from a family tragedy and was talking to the class and I will forever regret missing hearing her words that day. I never felt safe, welcomed or like I fit in here and was often told off for things the girls next to me were doing. The school was completely biased towards those doing atar and who played a part in improving the schools reputation.

I would like to point out I was a very high achieving general student who graduated with many rewards, so I wasn't "just a naughty kid", I put effort into my schooling and was not supported, cared for or respected. They have a very strong facade put up and if your child is an atar student, one who plays sport for the school or has a teacher for a parent then they will have no drama. But goodluck to the children who are different, who don't take atar, who don't "bring anything for the schools rep", and who like me, won't stand for the mistreatment of my peers. I have constantly tried to have "grown up" conversations about these issue but always to no avail. Many of my peers, since leaving this institution, have exceeded greatly since having the immense pressure and dare I say it, depressing environment, removed from their everyday lives.

The support system here is non-existent and kids acting up are just dismissed as "bad kids" and then repeatedly targeted and punished, nobody ever stopped to ask why kids may be acting out. The school is homophobic and employs a "don't show, don't tell policy" in regards to this. And drug use is rampant amount teens with NO education ever being employed to help us out, they didn't want to address the issue because then that meant they had one.would also like to point out a majority of the 5 star reviews are from teachers!

If your refuse to at least acknowledge this thought out, personal review from a high achieving, good student, then perhaps your ignorance is a part of the problem too.

They NEVER have bacon and cheese sausage rolls.they should really get on to that if im paying $8000 a year for this school!

Its a good school not the best but l have already made lots of friends and great memories already just from 2 terms of being here but the school is too expensive in my opinion because it has extra staff that is unnecessary staff working at LJBC and the way they teach is like any other private or public school.

I enjoy being at this school, although I have had problems in the past, it's all coming back together for me. Great friends, great teachers and i'm exited for the future of the college

Ye not great but the canteen sometimes has these really tasty like chicken fingers they're legit so good

I have attended this school before. The teachers and staff are extremely kind and nice however I think more improvements could be done to make the school better.

There was a year nine trying to pierce another guys ear with a safety pin and an ice pole, then a teacher came along and helped the two boys with the situation, (there was a whole group of kids) presumably all year 9

Most teachers abuse their power, the heads of house and the councillor don't actually care about the students and are obviously just there for the money. I feel sorry for the few good staff that work there.i have heard staff talking about how other staff shouldn't be allowed to work there, very disappointing. Thought would be a much better place for the amount of money it costs

This school is over rated they make you pay 9 grand a year and all they care about is looking good assembly are just trying hard to look fancy and they all are just terrible some teachers actually want us to learn while others like head of house only care about the money and how the school looks I regret going to libc but I like the baby ducks

If your not religious don''t bother, unless you want their religion and beliefs pushed onto you. They say that they don't push it onto anyone but that's frankly not true. I hope this saves you the 20 000 - 30 000 dollars they charge.

I used to be a student at LJBC. The kids there are horrible and are so mean and when u go to the teachers for help they will get u to write a report about it on a sheet of paper and don't get back to you for around 2 weeks? Pastoral care there is terrible and need to handle the situation of bullying better.
