Stunning location and could have been a 4.5 star grading but the overall experience was tainted by the condescending/ patronising attitude demonstrated towards many on the boat by the tour operator.

He clearly knows the area well as demonstrated by his thorough commentary but unfortunately he treated his passengers as if he was a frustrated school master and that they needed to be "managed".

Yes, he had a lot on his plate by doing everything himself, including skippering the boat, providing great commentary, managing lunch/ afternoon tea/ the swim and drinks at sunset. An assistant may make easier to run the tour.

Don't run the tours yourself if you no longer enjoy what you are doing. Many of the passengers expressed a similar sentiment.

For those planning to do the tour, don't miss out on a great day but just be prepared to be reprimanded.

We had an awesome sunset cruise with Greg at Lake Argyle Cruises. Lovely bloke, very informative and very interesting. Greg has been at Lake Argyle for a while and it was great to have him show us around. We loved the first swim which included a bonus few big rocks to jump off. At sunset we're floating in the 30 degree water soaking up the scenery thinking it doesn't get better than this when Greg sings out "anyone want a beer or sparklng wine"? Just got better! He even floated out to us crackers and dip! Loved the whole trip, easy five star review.

We had such an amazing day on the BBQ pontoon. The 4 of us and our 2 dog's spent the day exploring, fishing and swimming at our leisure. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The vessel was clean and fully equipped with everything we could possibly need, for any circumstances that may arise. Highly recommend Lake Argyle Cruises, and we will definitely be back again.

Did the sunset cruise. Very informative, friendly and knowledgeable. The swim at the end was notable for seeing a Johnson floating by looking at us. We tourists tended to cluster closer to the boat after that.

An amazing sunset tour with Claire the captain. Informative enough to learn lots, fun with animal sightings, sunsets and moonrises with snacks, beers and wines! What more can you ask for? The whole trip was perfect.

My wife and I took the early morning cruise with the very knowledgeable and experienced Cam as the skipper. This was a great value cruise as so much was packed into just over 2 hours. From seeing fresh water crocodiles close up, to understanding the biology of the lake's flora and fauna and learning about the history and vastness of Lake Argyle, it was well worth the early morning drive. We would definitely recommend this cruise.

A wonderful day out with Lake Argyle Cruises. You can only truly appreciate Lake Argyle from the water, and we did it in style with a purpose built boat and an excellent commentary. Swimming in the lake was a great experience, especially our sunset swim. Exploring for zebra rock and seeing our first Jabiru are great memories to take home. Highly recommend this value for money Best of Lake Argyle tour.

Lake Argyle is wonderful – but this was a very disappointing tour experience.

Four of us booked the Lake Argyle sunset cruise from Kununurra. For a start the very frustrated bus driver was given the incorrect manifest so it took almost three hours from Kununurra before we were delivered to our tour boat… with no water on offer. The stop at Durack House was probably no more than 15 minutes…. Before we were summonsed back to the bus. Hardly worth the hassle of the stop.

Lake Argyle is beautiful and the sunsets are unforgettable.

However our tour guide Cameron delivered his information patter in a manner that felt like his afternoon was being interrupted. He offered that he could answer any questions along the way but when somebody asked a question, they were quickly told that the question would be answered later. He ‘barked’ at a young couple who wanted to take a photo at the front of the boat and another man got into trouble because he allegedly stood on Cameron’s E-perv. One of our party was reprimanded about how they were feeding the fish.

In the online info about the tour it says that afternoon drinks would be enjoyed at sunset. For those not swimming off the end of the boat, we had to wait until the swimmers were in the water and a beer was tossed to them.

The only alcoholic drinks on offer was one type of beer and some budget sparkling white wine. No still white or red wine. Afternoon tea was dip and crackers with everybody tucking in …… and this was after we were instructed to wear (COVID) face masks in the bus to and from?

In Cameron‘s defence, he did have a boat full with nobody to help him but quite frankly when the tour had finished our group were very pleased that it was time to go home.

Certainly not worth $130 each.

**** Three days later we enjoyed a wonderful lunch time tour on Lake Argyle with Lake Argyle Tours and Cruises and experienced something completely different and absolutely enjoyable.

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our sunset cruise on the lake with our Skipper Cam. We are a bit older and weren't sure if we could do the swimming in the lake that this cruise offers. But the ladder in and out of the water was easy for everyone and we had the entire patronage in the water floating on our cruise provided noodles. While in the water we enjoyed a beer or champagne and wondered what the poor people who hadn't been on this cruise were thinking! The water wassurprisingly warm. Great trip!

Thoroughly enjoyed the Best of Lake Argyle cruise with Greg. It really provided a perspective of just how big the lake is. Greg is a wealth of information and a great host. There was an abundance of birds, fish, freshwater crocodiles, wallabies and even a few cattle. The scenery was spectacular throughout. The swims were great fun as was the fossicking for zebra rock. A great day out.

Great value! Informative and entertaining. Good lunch selection and afternoon tea of fresh local fruits. Lots to see and do. Sunset drinks and nibbles while floating in the lake! An experience not to be missed!

The best of Lake Argyle Cruise. What a fantastic experience. Very friendly staff and the day ran like clockwork. Greg our Skipper/bus driver and guide shared his 23 years of Lake Argyle knowledge which was amazing and detailed. During this cruise we covered a large percentage of the Lake and it is difficult to absorb the size and scale of the Lake. It is mind blowing to see.

Unfortunately I had to cancel first one and then the second ticket I had bought for a sunset cruise after having booked it on waitlist at Easter! Claire in the office dealt with me so professionally and kindly. I have done the tour before and loved the trip and definitely recommend it to everyone. Add to that top service from the team - winners 5 stars -thanks claire
