Kung Fu Kitchen Cannington reviews
58Used to be one of my favorite restaurant because yumm spicy food. But VERY bad service especially the reception lady with pony tail. I ordered takeaway and she said only wait for 10 minutes. I waited at the front door for 15~20 minutes. Then I checked with her, she just let me wait. Another 10 minutes later, she still let me wait. I even saw the takeaway paper bag with my order on the table of reception. I just double checked with a gentleman, then I finally got my food. Just wanna say, if the lady is too tired to work and help customers, please let her go back home to take a rest.
I absolutely love the food here at Kung Fu! Super fresh quality. I love the buffet system here: scan a QR code to order your food. It means no hard to manouver buffet line, it's quick, clean and we were both very impressed with the service. We were given an hour and a half to order our food which was plenty of time for us. The staff were super friendly and service was excellent. They had quite an array of ingredients and dipping sauces which can be added to flavour your pot, however it does cost an extra $3 to use, which is the only reason I have given 4 stars instead of 5.
We usually dine in at Cannington kungfu kitchen. Today we picked up chicken fried rice and chicken dry noodles as take out. Chicken noodles barely had chicken, mostly it was chicken skin.chicken noodles was flavorless. Fried rice was ok. Not recommended for take out because when we dine in it never happened.
Came here this afternoon and food was average, but you probably should teach your staffs some manners by not throwing receipts onto the table. Understandable if the restaurant was busy and rush, but it was not
One of the original malatang place in Perth. Stir fried version is also good!
They are now closed on Wednesdays due to staff shortage.
The worst king fu kitchen in Perth
The waiters are so rude and you almost do everything yourself like self served
The hot pot is a great rip off
We spent 100 dollars for 2 people and not got full
The soup base was so plain and has disgusting fat on top
The dishes is such small portion
Worst noodles I had.hard like rock.they should cook the noodles softer before it goes in wok.use to be my favorite place.now I think the boss don't care about the place.down the hill.
The restaurant may as well be self service as wait staff are very rude and unaccommodating.
Terrible attitude from workers, would not recommend.
Perth now has a Karen Diner so if you want to pay money for bad customer service, just dine there instead.
Came in for lunch around 1: 30pm on Monday 22 August 2022.
Terrible service, would put 0 star if I could.
Bad attitude from young male waiter- asked for an extra menu as sharing 1 between 3 persons and he tossed at us then walked away.
Also asked the waitress (she said her name was Nina) if there was tendon in the dish, she accused the customer of eating it, found and a half tiny pieces and then walked off. No problem solving kills. Would not recommend to anyone.
Large servings. Delicious food. Refreshing tea. A wide selection to chose from. Affordable prices. Friendly staff. A relaxed family atmosphere.
Used to come every week two years ago, since the location of work hasn’t been visited for a long time. Came back and found totally different serving style and food taste which were awful than it used to be. FOH staff looked rush and impatient. Just wondering what happened with kitchen and serving crew…? Even saw the notice says will be asked for surcharge 15% with this quality of serving and food. Please pay more attention on your products if the owner still willing to look after this restaurant.
So let down and so expensive after all those above.
BTW the cashier girl in the counter with lined tattoos in her arm was excellent in serving when it was busy, that’s the truly role model for every FOH staff.
It was the worst day. I wasn't feeling well, so I went to eat my favorite hotpot, but I couldn't eat and came back upset. The waitress was very unfriendly. We ordered rice but the rice was cold. We received an apology for trying to leave without an apology when we protested. And when I asked for scissors because it was necessary for the food I ordered, they gave me really dirty scissors. We are angry and we will never go again.
It's not even worth giving one star.
Ordered two items as takeAway, mini hotpot and beef tongue soup noodles. The mini hotpot was indeed mini, less than half a serve of normal portion. And they gave me the beef tongue noodle soup came with the soup only, no noodles no beef. I drove 30min to pick this up, by the time I got home and found out the store had already closed. They refunded me for the beef tongue noodles next day, after driving another 30min. I was so disheartened, and won’t return for a second time
Delicious food, but there was very little meat or veg at all in my dish, mostly noodles. Crispy chicken bao bun was beautiful!
Have you ever realised this restaurant had gone down hill from food to service!?
The waiter with bloody cold face seems like I’m owe you happiness?
Cannington!
I came to Perth back in 2014 when Kungfu Kitchen was a quaint little restaurant in the heart of Northbridge. My Chinese housemates would boast how great their cold dishes are, particularly the 夫妻肺片 (beef tongue and tripe). Sadly this place has gone downhill seriously fast and tonight’s dinner was an utter disaster - waited 45min for 3 dishes - beef tongue & tripe, braised pork with rice and mini hotpot in a bowl in superior stock.
Verdict for beef tongue and tripe - SALTY and no other taste profile comes into play. Not even a hint of the good old 麻辣 (numbing spiciness) after tingle. It was just plain outright Salty and Spicy
Verdict braised pork rice - again, SALTY! The “braise” is NON-existent! I can cook a far better braised pork that what we were served tonight
Verdict for mini hotpot in superior stock - superior stock? Or do you mean inferior stock? Cos I can taste the diluted broth - running low on stock maybe? But it’s a Monday - go figure
Very disappointed considering KungFu Kitchen introduced me to my first 川菜 experience in Perth…. I see a lot of room for improvement. A LOT
Very sad with they changing their noodle. Not the better quality handmade type anymore. Flavor is still there but worse noodle ever.
They service the dumplings just like that, and even not hot when dumplings on the table also uncooked inside
My partner ordered braised beef rice
the beef and the rice was not warm either
I ordered a rice noodle they probably forgot to salt it was tasteless
After dinner we both had sore stomach
Very disappointed !
Much better than expected.
I had read other peoples reviews and thought it's might be a mistake to go there.
So It's a modern Chinese restaurant, you pick what you want to eat using a tablet and then ring a bell for the order to be processed.
How hot (spicy) your food is, is in levels not spicy, medium, spicy and devil but to me medium was spicy and devil would probably burn my bottom off.
The foods good and tasty, prices are reasonable.
I'll definitely come back again.
Absolutely loved it. This is the first time we have been here. Their ordering system is quite user friendly. Reasonable price for such delicious meal. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back
