Kingsway Christian College

Went to the school for 9 years before I was kicked out without reasoning. Always had a perfect records all my family graduated at the school but I wasn’t surprised… kingsway always had animosity towards black students. Especially Mr Burton, Mrs Havinga, Mr Schoeman and even English teachers would say derogatory terms knowing there were African/black students in the classroom. Glad I left and found a better school. Wouldn’t recommend this school to anyone who isn’t a WHITE South African because of the blatant racism from the board, teachers and students.

Favouring children who are only from South Africa is unfair. Kids from all different nationalities should be given equal opportunity.

As a student who has been at KCC for 14 years straight, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the college. It has been a huge part of my life and I loved being there. All the teachers and chaplains are wonderful people, and they are people you can go talk to when you need it.
I sometimes look back at the primary years, reminiscing all the fun moments with friends. Primary school was a blast, and it went quick. The transition to high school was quite difficult, but I was able to get through it because I had God with me every step of the way. With the right people around you and supporting you, anything is achievable.
I will be back at the college, no doubt.

Kingsway Christian College is quite disappointing. There is a huge lack of respect for non South African students and a huge lack of caring and support for students who are struggling. Personally I believe that there are plenty of better public and private schools elsewhere. Kingsway is also very FAKE. They're too fixated on a perfect Picket fenced reputation that they forget to care for they're own students
P. S. If your not South Africa don't waste $9,000 on THIS school its not worth it.

Students are rude so very rude and none of them know how to walk in a straight line for longer than 60 seconds

The teachers are not very nice towards some students, some students i feel get picked on a lot. There are some good things about this school like, most teachers.the education is quite good. They have also done up the school quite well

I sent my child dameion staples here and he had came back to home with a bad attitude you should have bapatised him to the point were he drowned.

Not a good school. Claims to have zero tolerance to bullies, however the teachers themselves are bullies. Does not notice children in crisis. Does not support students if they are not academically minded. There are many many better schools. It is well known among other schools that Kingsway Christan College is a joke with sub-par teachers.

There has been a lot of uprise in the media about gender equality especially for women. Which I'm not against at all and it makes me extremely happy that this injust is confronted. Gender equality defines as equality for ALL genders. A boy has been suspended for taking part in sexual practices. The girl, whom he was spanking, was the one to approach him first by grabbing his genitals. She however was not suspended. As a female, I would not feel comfortable in such an environment where males are discriminated against just because of societies assumptions.

From my own experience as a student in the school, I honestly think Kingsway's a great school teaching good values along with a broad extensive education. In primary, teachers assist students immensely, helping them understand and learn certain topics and subjects better. In high school, more independence is expected from the older students as they take on further responsibility. With streaming in classes from Years 7 and up, they push students to work harder in order to do better, at the same time, doing it in accordance to their strengths and abilities. At first the transition from primary to high school was quite stressful, but you learn to get used to it - the school and teachers have also now allowed for an easier and not so drastic transition with the help of the Year 7 orientation, peer support, and high school 'survival guides' written by the older secondary. Most staff are also quite friendly and helpful as well. Once again, I'd have to say it's a pretty good school overall.

Gone to kingsway all my life, the teaching is great as the school gets really good NAPLAN results every year, the facilities are definitively up to standard, the fact that you dont half to go to a new school after primary school is amazing, great school to go to would definitively recommend it!

Great things happening, very well functioning school. Christ centered education and a WWJD spin on everything. God is moving in this school.

Would not send my children here again as they have very weak English facility and not good teaching overall. As some of the English teachers speak English as a second language absolutely horrific
