Kings Park and Botanic Garden reviews
61Great place to come and kick back, you can walk there from the CBD and the view of the city is the best
One of the best places to visit in Perth! Apparently the biggest inner city park in the world, but you might need to fact check that one yourself.
This is a must-visit place in Perth this time of year. Wildflowers are in full bloom, and you can see flowers that you can't see in Japan. It's right next to the city, so it's fun to walk around town after enjoying the flowers.
We have visited botanical gardens all over the world and have been members at the RHA Wisley. Kings Park ranks in the top 3 for variety, modern facilities and open public spaces. Beds are well kept, labeling is informative, and the engineered structures unique. Loved the glass Bridge and DNA tower.
Simply lovely.
Water fountain area with the little waterfalls and creeks were perfect picnic spots for young kids. They loved floating leaf boats down the streams. So much bird life too!
Absolutely beautiful, I would love to go back and explore more. This place is very much a 10 star venue.
What a great place for Victorian visitors. Bigger than Central Park New York. They were impressed by its proximity to Perth city and trees planted for war veterans. Plus the boat!
Perfect location for a picnic on Christmas day. There were few people around, lots of birds to observe. The gardens are immaculate collections of native plants from all over the state. Magnificent.
How can I possibly describe probably the greatest asset that the City of Perth has.
Kings Park is so beautiful and peaceful, I have visited this park so many times in my life for a picnic or just to have a walk around and look at our West Australian native plants.
There are lots of areas within the park where you can relax and unwind in the quiet of the bush and green lawns.
We also have concerts in the park area during the afternoon and in to the evening.
This is the home to our War Memorial which overlooks the city and is a beautiful place to go to the Dawn Service on Anzac Day.
If you are a visitor to Perth you must include a visit to Kings Park in your itinerary.
Love hanging out here. The views are magical, acceptable amenities and lovely kiosk (does THE BEST iced chocolate!)
Kings Park is rated Perth's premier tourist attraction and quite rightly so. It boasts many very different playgrounds with different age groups in mind. From Ivy Watson Playground for pre schooners, Zamia for Primary school aged children and the wonderful Kings Park Naturescape with the bird hides and tadpoles enabling children to interact with nature.
For the adults, there is the fabulous Botanic Gardens, the views over the Swan River and a fantastic range of cafe's dotted around.
Recommended.
I took my 2 of my (aduly) girls out for the day to enjoy the wild flowers, in particular the Kangaroo Paws. I had no idea there were so many beautiful variations of the traditional red/green ones. A lovely relaxing day out
Hadn't been to Kings park for a number of years. Went for a good walk and I was not disappointed, still a beautiful place. We are very lucky to have this in our cbd.
Six stars minus one because they really need to prune back the number of trees, they're running rampant.
We acknowledge the Nyungaar people and their elders past present and upcoming as the original and traditional custodians of the land on which the park was built. Stunning park with such a diverse array of flora and includes spectacular views. It also has very good walking trails that are ok for varying abilities … there’s a good couple restaurants and it’s also a great place for weddings.
It’s pleasing to see such a well preserved park in the heart of the city. The open spaces are inviting for families and friends, with splendid views of the city skyline.
Beautiful, great views and so many beautiful plants and trees. The café was busy so I didn't stay.
Such a huge elevated nature reserve. With natural bushlands, lovely gardens and grassed areas. War memorial's and great views of Perth City. Resteraunts and live music venues
What a truly beautiful place, everything that you could want for a family day out and wait yes dog friendly as long as you do the right thing and adhere to the rules
