Good plain thosai, tasty butter chicken (mildly spicy) and fish curry (spicy). They hand make their own parottha or prata or roti canai and its reasonably priced. You would need to get a separate curry to accompany the parottha.

This part of gosnells is quiet at night and safe.

I ventured into Kolapasi with a fair bit of anticipation. The ghee biryani rice and chicken palipalayam did not disappoint – the rice especially was a delight. The Chicken 65 had all the right notes in terms of flavor, and the mango lassi was the refreshing touch my meal needed.

However, I must express my slight disappointment. I'd expected the chicken dishes to exude that warmth of being freshly prepared, but they fell a touch short. The ambiance, too, felt underwhelming; the silence was more disconcerting than calming. A hint of background music or an active TV might bridge that gap.

On the upside, the staff, particularly the front desk lady, was a beacon of warmth and helpfulness. I genuinely believe that with a few tweaks, Kolapasi could rise to be an even better version of itself. Here's hoping they take this feedback as a stepping stone towards excellence.

When this place had just opened, they used to do this killer dry curries served on top of rice that were packed full of flavour.omg they were just DELICIOUS! However recently I have ordered 3 different times this week hoping I would get the same addictive curries to satisfy my cravings, but…. Alas…. What I got were very diluted curries that were average at best. Today I specifically asked them for their old “DRY curries” and they diluted these ones even more.
Unfortunately this place has also failed the test of time and has declined significantly in both the flavour and quality of their cuisines. Or maybe their old chef has retired/left.

Huge improvement.chicken 65 excellent. Biryani excellent and now with a $25 all you can eat lunch buffet on weekends its the best place i perth. Good variety of veg and non veg. Parathas excellent soft and flaky, i was told they will add more so i will be going back to see if they do, it was a good experience very large restaurant with kid friendly atmosphere. Some dishes definitely had the south Indian taste.staff are very polite and friendly

Had the best experience. Our host Sam gave us a warm welcome on rainy day. The food came perfect timing and the finish tea had the best touch.

Very disappointing experience. Friday night but hardly anyone in the place, which should have been an indication of what was to come. We sat down and were handed 2 menus, which were slightly different, and were then told that the costs of the dishes were not correct and they would be a little more, as they were going through a price increase. But no indication as to what the prices actually were. Loads of things crossed off one of the menus.
We ordered samosas and Gobi 65. But no Gobi 65. Then ordered vege korma.but no korma. Then ordered vege biryani.no vege biryani. When we finally ordered food that was available we waited for our drinks.and waited.and waited. Our samosas arrived and after breaking open to eat found they were frozen on the middle. We told the waitress who said it's because they are pre-made. Actually it was because they weren't cooked properly.
Remainder of the food came out in dribs and drabs. We reminded the waitress again about the drinks and ended up getting our own plates a cutlery.
This was the worst experience dining out we have had in a very long time.

I had Banana leaf Lunch today. It’s really delicious feel like Amma Samayal. Any one want to try South Indian Meal. Please go and try it never regret. Thanks

Parathas excellent soft and flaky, Lunch time vegetarian was good but with just 2 veg variations thats not a good deal even with all you can eat for $18, i was told they will add more so i will be going back to see if they do, it was a good experience very large restaurant with kid friendly atmosphere. Some dishes definitely had the south Indian taste and since they just opened i will be trying all they have on offer and will hopefully give them a 5 start. I certainly recommend and i am sure they will improve, staff are very polite and friendly and they know they have to improve and told me they just opened.

Outstanding dining experience! The food was top-notch and expertly prepared. The waitstaff was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was elegant yet inviting. Highly recommend for a special occasion or just a night out.

Food was great with friendly service by Sam, the owner and his staff. It is a set meal with different curries and you can order additional dishes of meat.

Very poor customer service. Deliberately missing item and and they never refund money. Wont help to resolve the issue. Better you people go for stealing than cheating and running this business

Ordered the mutton & rice and garlic naan. Was going to order on their website then there was an additional charge to pay with card so just went in store. It is only $1 but a little concerning and cannot find a genuine reason for the additional charge. Food was ok tasting but the mutton was full of bones with no meat and the garlic naan was tasteless, small and dry, especially for $3.50. I unfortunately didn’t take a picture of the curry but did of the garlic naan. Customer service was good though.

Will never go back to this place again. Didn't even give us cutleries as they are still on order from India. We literally had 2pieces of chicken and capsicum in our butter chicken.

Just went to pick up dinner for night and wanted to try something new and will never be stepping foot there again. Rude customer service. Yelling at me in-front of a customer and then proceeded to tell me I was the one being rude. Horrible people and their food was even good. Do not go you’ll ruin your night.

Ordered mutton curry rice for lunch. I must say for $15 it was completely worth it. The restaurant was quite when I walked in. The gentleman who served food was very kind with his service and attentiveness. And the food was really good. Expected only mutton curry and rice to be served but they provided side dishes as well. Tasty as well…

We have been returning here for many reasons:
1. Food is authentic and very filling. During our first visit we were given sample of some of their dishes- which were all delicious. It was a tough decision to make!
2. The team is very welcoming and friendly. Most of our visits are towards their closing times. Typically most restaurants close their kitchen way ahead of their closing time. However, Kolapasei has never turned us down so long as we call to check in. A couple of times, we had not been aware of the time and stayed past their closing time. During those times, the team members never came up to us, requesting to wrap up or even start taking dishes away. This speaks alot of their service amd respect towards their customers. Absolutely love that.
3. As the dishes are prepared upon order, it usually takes some time- which is not too long at all. Regardless, they have some cool activities that you can use while waiting for food to be prepared. They have a couple of arcade games and also a 360 photo booth. Moreover if you are there with children, they have a little play area. How thoughtful! And you can never be bored!

Not how I do things so we walked.

Very disappointed with the quality and quantity of food. Totally deceived by the photos and reviews. Just throwed away half of ghee rice, mutton perattal and Parotta, mutton gravy. Lunch bars here make better tasting curries. The only positive is average parotta, wasted $48
