Kin Kee Chinese Restaurant reviews
23I went there on new years just to upset myself with the food and services. Took too long for them to serve.
I had the opportunity to revisit a Chinese restaurant in Perth that I used to frequent. Despite changing ownership from Oriental to Kin Kee, I was pleased to find that the quality of the cuisine remained excellent.
However, I did have a few concerns regarding the service. On several occasions, we felt rushed to place our orders, even though the restaurant was not particularly busy. Additionally, as a Chinese person who speaks Cantonese, I found it challenging when the server often switched to Mandarin - which I don't really understand and is not able to communicate.
On the same trip, during our second visit (3 days apart), my partner went to pay at the counter and we were charged more than we expected, despite ordering fewer dishes than on our first visit.
Despite these issues, the food is good enough that I plan to return whenever I visit Perth. I hope to see improvements in their service in the future.
The food is good and delicious, just service need to get better, feeling the staffs not happy to work!
Food poisoning from whole fried flounder fish. Also I asked aunty if they had any whole duck, she said yes, I asked again, to be sure, she said yes, we sat down and started drinking tea, fifteen minutes later she came to take our order and when I tried to order a whole duck she said they didn't have any - then we were poisoned. Will never return.
Great place for late night snacks in Beiqiao
Reminiscent golden eggplant and tofu stew
The noodle is a bit salty, but overall is okay. The restaurant is very busy and full of Chinese people here.
The last time we went there it was on a public holiday. Because it’s a public holiday I expected that it will be a long wait, so I ordered only one main dish and a bowl of soup. The two of us were seated outside. We were not offered any tea after being seated. The soup came within half an hour. More people started arriving, they ordered later than us but their food came out quicker than ours. We checked in with the boss and the boss said “it’s coming soon”, so we continued to wait. In the end we waited for 2 hours for our main dish to arrive. Food is great, but they really need to sort out on staffing and their seating system.
The rice was very bad. I ordered salt and pepper soft-shell crab, salt-baked chicken, pork belly soup, and crispy large intestine. They were not tasty. I was very disappointed after being introduced by a friend.
This restaurant is ridiculous, staff is rude. Watch your bill before you settled. Staff charged what they like. No what the menu price.
Best Chinese food in Western Australia, highly recommended, 5 star cuisine, taste exactly the same as in Hong Kong
Amazing! We've come here many times and we recommend basically everything! I much enjoyed the deep-fried pumpkin sticks or whatever their called and I reccomend the signature combination, definitely one of the best dishes there. One of the best Chinese places in Perth.
One of those quirky little Asian restaurants in the back lanes of Northbridge. All excellent places for authentic oriental food. Simply fabulous
Food was mediocre and the price we paid didn’t match the prices of the dishes we chose on the menu. Paid upwards of 100 for a few dishes and when I asked for an itemized receipt because the menu prices weren’t adding up they couldn’t provide me with one. Not sure if they have increased their prices or what the deal was with all of that but overall disappointing service and disappointing communication. Definitely will not be going back here.

Wow wish I had known this place earlier.
Very authentic Chinese food. Well priced and portioned, and most importantly yummy! Every dish we had was good Recommend the crispy pork intestine for intestine lovers
I have been there several times the food and service were just average but last night the service was very poor quality. I won’t go back again.
It's a lovely place to fill yourself. Spoil yourself with spicy Chinese. I felt bit too much on Sichuan pepper. Still awesome.
Certainly one of the best authentic Chinese restaurants in Perth, the quality of the food is good and very tasty, we have been there for years, food is always good, but seating is not the best. They open until late.
Authentic chinese foods, delicious! Service was slow, the lady worked by herself on floor, she's very nice
Some of the best authentic Chinese food around and they also still serve western Chinese dishes. A great combination of both. Competitive in pricing and taste for the area. If you haven't tried them, I definitely recommend especially if you can grab a table upstairs
