Kimberley Residential Aged Care / Emerald Life

My mum spent 2 weeks respite care in here. She was so looked after. Staff are very caring.
Lisa is amazing

No communication on lost property of my Mother's whilst there on respite.
They choose to ignore my emails, hoping their silence I will go away.
I can assure Emerald Life I will not.
I put a positive review, which I plan on removing.
Either my mother's belongings are there, or how do they disappear?
Her near new walker aid is missal metal clip section.
Surely, if found with common sense it would be kept.
Yet again, my email requests regarding this missing part has been ignored.
I highly do not recommend Emerald Life, felt my mother was traumatised
Regarding eating food.
She has bad dementia and still struggling to tell her she is home not at Emerald Care.
Really, under recommendation so bitterly disappointed.

Went there for a job and I must say the lady that was at the reception was genuinely so rude. Unfortunately, I don't know her name but she had glasses on with maroon hair. As soon as I walked into that aged care she would not stop picking on me, the first time she has been rude to me I let it slide but on the second time that's when I lost it and told why she was speaking to me the way she was and that's when she started raising her voice and make a whole scene. She definitely needs more training on how not to be rude to people and how to speak to people nicely!

A specialist nursing home for dementia patients.
Comfortable surroundings and a good level of care.

Unfortunately, the two weeks respite care with Emerald Life was not a positive experience for our family. My father lost 10kg in the 2 weeks he was there but no one noticed this pretty drastic weight loss. He was sent home with a cough (which turned into pneumonia 3 days later and then spent the next 2 weeks in hospital). The day he was discharged from this facility, he was presented to us in his pajamas and allowed to walk out this way! (We were told they stop washing 3 days prior to discharge so as not to mix up the laundry). He died 4 weeks and 2 days after leaving Emerald Life. We feel his demise was hastened by this facility as no one noticed his decline in health, and they should have!

What great caring and wonderful people at this nursing home. Highly professional and happy staff and always ready to answer any query. They always keep you updated with anything that is happening with your loved one.
Keep up your good work and many thanks for your dedicated hard work.

We have been very impressed with the caring way our Aunty was looked after from the moment she arrived to the palliative care provided before she passed away 2 years later (in August 2019). Kimberley Residential Aged Care provided quality nursing care, compassionate staff who treated our family member with dignity and affection, enjoyable in house chef prepared meals and provided an interesting, varied diversional therapy program along with bus outings for the residents to enjoy. We have recommended Kimberley to another family, whose Grandmother moved in last year, and this family are also delighted with the care and attention she is receiving. We would highly recommend Kimberley RAC to anyone looking for caring, quality care with a higher ratio of dementia specific nurses to residents and who are a cut above the other aged care facilities out there (we have had personal experience with 2 others). I also like the way the residents are free to roam around the pleasant surrounds indoors with lots of garden visible from the long ramps. Thank you Kimberley staff for going the extra mile. We will not forget everything you have done for us.

After looking at many nursing home in Perth that looked after people with dementia we decided on Kimberley Nursing Home for our Mum. The reason we did was simple the staff. The nursing staff are the best really caring and you can tell they love their job by the way they treat the people in their care.

If you are just starting to look around and I know how hard it is emotionally then put Kimberley Nursing Home on your list you won't be sorry my Mum settled in really well.
