If you want your loan rate done at the lower rates as per government regulations you need to call them they will also tell you it states in the letter they sent you need to call them to have it lowered and they won't back date the charges either. They are very happy to raise them but when they need to lower them they resort to scum tactics I can't wait to refinance honestly this sort of behaviour is disgusting especially in this financial climate shame on you

Thanks keystart for making our home dream come true and being able to build our first home. Always helpful when needed assistance. Luckily we had enough equity and were able to refinance as soon as we got the keys. We signed up at 4.56% interest and with the recent increases we have been lucky to refinance, its just how things are currently unfortunately.

If I could give Keystart no stars, I would. STAY AWAY!

Keystart is a trap set up to help the most vulnerable, but yet here they are charging 8.26% on our home loans. Even better, if you ask for help, you get told that you're postponing the inevitable and should look at selling. You tell me how a family of four (2 kids under 3) should be paying $3500 a month on a $440,000 loan.

You are killing families. Stop gouging clients and fix the policies and procedures before you have blood on your hands.

And stop giving the excuse of
Our interest rate policy is to use the average of the standard variable interest rate of the four major banks.

It was only a year ago when I was seriously thinking about buying my first home due to the rental market in Perth. The thought of trying to save up the deposit suitable for the banks while paying rent seemed well out of reach on a single income so a work mate reminded me about keystart. I finally had enough deposit by October, called keystart & was put through to Mario. From the very first call, Mario explained every step of the process, if I wasn't sure on anything he told me to call him. From the initial phone consultation to pre approval, Mario made the whole process seem so easy! I've now gone through settlement & moved into my very first home just last week. No more having to deal with landlords & rent inspections.
I know there are alot of negative comments about how high keystarts interest rates are, but you need to go into this with realistic expectations. Work out your budget, stick to it, pay down the loan as much as you can & then refinance with one of the big four banks.
I can't thank Mario enough for what he's done for me & recommend him to anyone looking to go through keystart for their first home.

This office is very difficult to deal with and lack understanding of families at risk of homelessness. Staff need more training in how to deal with vulnerable families.

My 5 star review is mainly due to the outstanding service we received from Mario Marini!

During our first appointment, it wasn't good news due to various financial issues (I was kinda expecting it) but Mario advised us on the best way to move forward. He answered my emails and phone calls in a timely manner. He was professional throughout the process and was very kind and helpful.

After following Mario's advise towards a successful application, we were on our way to owning a home a few months later! Everything went smoothly and Mario was very patient when I kept sending him the wrong documents!

The keystart portal was informative and easy to navigate.

When we wanted to refinance I was bracing myself for a tough time with Keystart due to the negative review I read but everything went smoothly once again! The process was faster than expected but the only complaint I have is they still deducted the mortgage amount on the day of the settlement (this was a small matter and was fixed easily)

Overall thank you so much Keystart for an excellent experience and thanks to you my husband and I were able to purchase our first home at 30!

I signed with Keystart to build my own home. They have been great to deal with right from the beginning. I appreciate being given the opportunity to get into my own home. Thanks so much! Would not recommend keystart, they put your interest up every month. My mother's interest has gone up an extra $600 in 4 months. It's a scam don't do it

Radloff Calitz at Keystart offered exceptional service from start to finish, and I couldn’t recommend him highly enough. I felt he went out of his way to encourage and support me every step of the way. Yes It was a bit of a process to go through however it was all worth it in the end, as my dream of home ownership is now a reality - Thank you

I've had a positive experience with Keystart as I've been able to get into my own home sooner and communication was always very simple. The only downfall is they have a lot of extra requirements compared with other lenders and my property was undervalued, meaning I had to pay a large shortfall at short notice; this was extremely stressful. Overall I am thankful for the opportunity given to me as a first home buyer with a low deposit.

I have found trying to build my 1st house a nightmare. Instead of helping it's a very drawn out stressful never ending documents they want. I signed up with WA building on 12.06.20 and I'm still going through the process. I've given everything to keystart now state revenue office want stat declaration for the same things that my documents show? Beginning to wish I never decided to get my own place such a headache.

Keystart helped me to get into my first home with shared equity and no LMI. The staff at Keystart have always been prompt in responding and very helpful. I cannot thank Chris enough for her reassurance, professionalism and for going above and beyond to answer all my queries in a detailed but easy manner when I was ready to refinance.

We have had nothing but back and forths over 3-4 months with keystart. From simple variation rejections to just little to no communication from keystart. They have made everything along our way to formal approval confusing to becoming a downright joke. Even if you approve us for a loan keystart I would never recommend putting someone through the anger and patience it takes for something quiet simple.

I was a bit hesitant for a while there whilst multiple documents had to be consistently sent off for clarification and or approval.

I think new applicants need to mindful of just how busy lenders are at these times and show a little patience.

A special shoutout to Jade who was extremely diligent with regards to ensuring that there was complete transparency and ensuring any issues where rectified in a timely manner.

Now that all the conditions have been met for pre-approval, I look forward to a swift issuance of loan documents and a timely settlement.
