Kawloon Restaurant

This is honestly the worst Chinese meal I have had in my life. I have had one mouthful, expecting something special going off the reviews, and I refuse to offend my mouth with any more. The rice is the consistency of cous cous and tastes nothing like any rice I've had, it eminates an almost cereal smell. The chilli beef is bland and not very hot. Sweet and sour pork was over cooked and has way to much batter in that it is all you can taste. To top it off the prawn crackers were crushed and and could be sprinkled over the plate like salt. I would not go back of I was paid.

Ordered pickup take away lunch specials with sweet and sour, I asked for 1 fried rice to have no meat as I am a pescatarian, guy who answered was very rushed and abrupt, he said rice has no meat, only peas, I said okay, that’s great because I don’t eat meat, he confirmed again, no meat. Picked up order, was charged $1 surcharge for takeaway, it’s not listed on the takeaway menu, the guy who took my money pointed to a sign about the charge, saying it’s because of rising cost of meat. I get home, rice has pork in it! Called up, got the same guy who took my order, he apologised and said he would remake it. Went done again to swap, he told me when I arrived that they don’t do rice without pork, and asked if I wanted steamed rice, I said no, I want fried, that’s why I asked when I ordered, he through his hands up and said, he forgot because it’s New Year! I asked if they would be able to make some for me please, he said no, it’s pre-made, and asked if I wanted steamed rice again? I don’t know why he asked again, I had no choice! I had to then wait for them to make my meal again. No apologies for me having to go back there, no offer for even free prawn crackers! Get home, sweet and sour fish was 80% batter, and there was a little bit of sauce, not half enough to cover the fish. The whole experience was very disappointing. I won’t be back!

Been here a few times for dinner now, excellent food choices good prices and staff are very welcoming

I ordered a takeaway from here, my family many years ago use to love this place, so I thought I’d give it a go again. I was very very disappointed, the chicken corn soup was only half full in the container, the combination rice tasted awful, the lemon chicken was dry and the garlic butter king prawn dish was average and had a soap taste. I will never order from here again and will stick to my local! Would not recommend.

Food and service gone down hill.
Shame really use to be nice.
I ordered with Menulog after having major surgery 3 hours in advance.
Come 5: 30pm no driver and rang restaurant, they couldn't care less and food was sitting there cold.
No apologies or anything no help from restaurant.
Contacted Menulog too.no drivers.
Unfortunately my husband had to go pick up the order and it was cold and horrible.

Bought the Chilli Chicken and Fried rice from the lunch specials and it was yummy. Enough chilli to clear the sinuses but not to much to detract from the flavors. Will definitely be back.

Fresh flavoursome food, prompt friendly service. Normally order takeaway from here but decided to try lunch today. All dishes were very good and well presented. Robot delivered most dishes and was very patient and well mannered. Humans were nice too

Came to Kawloon for dinner with my mum and sister who love Chinese food and we were all very impressed. We have tried many different places around Mandurah and this is by far the best.
The food was delicious. So flavoursome and fresh and VERY generous portions - we had to get a few take away containers! The staff were all so friendly and helpful, some of our dishes even came out on a robot which made the experience even better! Highly recommend Kawloon and we will be back to try some more dishes.

The food was delicious and super quick to come to the table. Service was fast and very friendly. And of course the robot waiter was a huge novelty and it was SO cute I have to say. This is my grandparents favourite local and I can definitely understand why. I highly recommend the garlic beef, it was delish!

Tickety-boo worth visiting and the food delivery by the robot is a novel look at future service, we loved the whole experience and will visit again

Such a fantastic venue. Relaxed atmosphere with beautiful decor to view. Staff are fantastic, great fast efficient service. Food is a tasty fantastic experience with GENEROUS servings. A great venue for all occasions, but best to book ahead if possible, but even when busy still plenty of space between tables. Outdoor seating also. Definitely worth a visit.

Excellent customer Service. Staff are quick to attend to needs as arise. Food is generous and lunchtime special is well worth it. Robot waiter is novel idea.

The food was an anglicised version of Chinese food but ok fir sustenance. Nothing out of the bag. Service however was exceptional and entertaining as the novelty of having some dishes delivered by a robot was entertaining and amusing. It's a family restaurant so shouldn't have any high expectations.

Stir-fry garlic veggies were like clay glue with Garlic Beef chop suey really sweet, chicken and cashew almost tasteless

Avoid this restaurant We to try this restaurant at lunch time, and was worst Chinese restaurant I’ve been too. I ordered Schezwan beef as did my hubby. When my schezwan beef came out it had peanuts in it (which I can’t eat) and which I’ve never seen in the dish before in any other Chinese restaurants. On the menu there was no warning of peanuts in dish and forgot to ask waiter if any peanuts in Schewan beef as normally a safe dish for me to eat. I went to ask the waiter about dish after I’d accidentally ate a mouthful and was told my fault didn’t say any thing. But this point my throat started to tingle so we left quickly so I could get my medicine, so any body with peanuts allergies avoid this place like the plague. My hubby had same dish and said it was awful and didn’t like the taste like any schewan beef he’s had before, it had no flavor and not much beef.

I was so disappointed with our takeaway dinner tonight, I had unexpected guests arrive and in the past whenever we have had dine in or takeaway it has been exceptional. Tonight before ordering our takeaway I was bragging about how great the food is from your restaurant, only to be given burnt vegetable rice which was inedible. I was so angry and disappointed as I was expecting what I am used to and was wanting to share with my guests.

Been here 3 times now. Food is amazing. Kawloon is always busy, good service and ambience - you can eat indoors or outdoor.
Recently disappointed that they were closed due to Covid restrictions but the takeaway was worth the 20-30 minute 2 way drive.
