Kanyana Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre is an amazing place to visit for animal lovers. The centre is situated in the Perth Hills and is home to a wide range of native Australian animals. The rehabilitation centre has a wonderful team of staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate and release sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife.

The centre has a variety of enclosures for the different animals, and visitors can have the opportunity to see and learn about kangaroos, wallabies, possums, birds, reptiles and many more. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the animals they care for, and are happy to answer any questions visitors may have.

The centre also has an education program where visitors can learn about the importance of conservation and protecting our native wildlife. They offer guided tours, animal encounters and educational talks for both children and adults.

I found a young Butcher Bird in our backyard not able to fly and a swollen left eye so I contacted them and gladly they took the poor little bird and are now nursing it back to good health!

I called and left a message and still haven't heard back. I know they are probably busy but a reply would have been nice. The bird is dead so I guess it doesn't matter now.

If you are interested in caring for wildlife this place is a must. They do a remarkable job in treating the animals and birds that are brought in. The tour is time well spent. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed being educated on what goes on at this wildlife rescue and meeting a python, bobtail and an echidna. Were also shown the hospital and kitchen areas. This would be a great place to bring children and grand-children. $15 which included tea and coffee and a biscuit is good value.

If you live near the this place you can bring a injuried animal here and they will take care of it. You can even book tour's online as well just to see what goes on.

Did a volunteer course and was given a tour as part of the course. Will be going back for my second session in coming weeks. Love this organisation and their commitment to wildlife and cant wait to start volunteering for them.

This was a very nice place to visit.
Is mainly run by volunteers who take care of injured or sick wildlife.
A nice place to take children to, to see and learn about these little creatures.
I found it very interesting.
This centre is situated at 120 Gilchrist Rf. Lesmurdie.

These people are amazing. They saved a baby quenda I found close to death and now a Kanyana volunteer is dedicating so much time and effort to get her back into the wild. They also really took the time to give me a proper update which was lovely. They deserve so much support, thank you.

We have organised our own night tour group on the 4th November 2017 - 4 families, 8 adults, 8 children - we all had a very fun and educational night. The tour leaders are very knowledgeable and the animal interactions are an amazing experience for the kids. Highly recommended a night outing at the Perth hills. PS - on the way home, drive through the Kalamunda zig zag trail.

I love Kanyana Wildlife Centre and Hospital because they don't discriminate when it comes to the injured species they accept.unlike my local vet, who will only refer 'native' animals to wildlife carers for rehabilitation. If you take an injured animal to Kanyan, I recommend also taking your wallet and making a donation, as most if not all of those who work there are volunteers. It's very heartwarming to realise what efforts they make to care for and rehabilitate the creatures that are left with them, and there should be more of it! Well done, Kanyana.
