Very caring staff who do a great job given the situations and resources available.
Not enough staff. We met my mother at 4pm this afternoon, coming towards us down the corridor, trying to find someone who would put something on her to cover her bare legs. She had been changed into her nightie and it was sitting up around her hips with her ‘nappy’ exposed. She knew we were coming to visit and didn’t want to be changed until we had been but no-one would listen. There were other residents sitting in the dining room, waiting for their 5pm meal, wearing similar attire. We can only assume they had to change them for bed before they ate because there were not enough night staff to cope with it.
So demeaning.
