For any girls with curly hair, I would highly recommend Jovana's! I have thick, coarse, low porosity curls. The team immediately understood my hair type once I mentioned that my hair can be stubborn when it comes to colour. And the cut! I look freaking amazing. Gradual layers with a ton of body and healthy, bouncy curls. No post cut blues - which any curly haired girl can appreciate. Also loved that the team knew not to be shy with product when styling. One of my pet peeves is when some straight haired teen tries to tell me that you only need "a little product because it goes a long way" proceeds to blow dry my hair until I look like post-Supremes Diana Ross. At Jovana's my hair was styled to perfection. No frizz, just lush curls. Called my sister straight after to recommend for her hair too. Curly girls - Do yourself a favour. Very disappointing.
In short, took nearly 4 hours (I understood this part as Jovana was a person down - however with everything else that went wrong, this is listed) and nearly $300 later. A few days later washing and doing my hair at home, my hair was cut into 2 distinct layers, roots were light, when I wanted my greys covered, my hair is dark brown, foils were done in chunks, one side of my hair was shorter than the other. My husband even said what have they done to your hair. Most times he doesnt even notice, so that is saying something. I had to go to another hairdresser to get it fixed, over $100 later - therefore this exercise cost me nearly $400 My hair is now over 2 inches shorter and I can no longer put it in a pony tail. I dont understand how my experience was so bad when the reviews were very favorable. I will just have to write it off to a bad experience
