Jo’s Curry House reviews
66This place is like stepping into another world! What a beautiful venue, the staff were warm and inviting and the food was SPECTACULAR. We throughly enjoyed our whole experience, Thank-you!
I had the Butter Chicken & My Husband had the Goat Curry & both were very tasty & enjoyed very much. Service was good, didn't have to wait long at all.
Great food, great service. Highly recommend if you are in Bunbury looking for somewhere for dinner. Just remember to book
A really enjoyable dinner in the "Tea Room ". Asked for very mild curry which was the limit of my "spiciness " and was able to eat a tasty meal. Yummy extras such as Naan bread. Very helpful, friendly staff.
Food is tasty. A little expensive for the small container you get. Not a lot of meat. Lots of yummy sauce though. Naan is yummy in the sauce.
Great food, great service.
If you want a quality curry Jo's Curry House is the go. Best enjoyed with a small group of friend in my opinion, because you get to sample many more dishes.
I don't normally write reviews but I wanted to tell people how good this is. Delicious flavours. The prawns were to die for. Overall it was not too oversalted like some Indian food. The taste was in the ingredients. Food with care. Just perfect in every way. We will be back. Highly recommend
We were in Bunbury over the weekend and literally stumbled upon this place! It is away from the main strip and tucked away at the end of a quiet street. The decor and ambiance are inviting. We had the mixed tandoori platter for starters, onion bhaji and dips. Everything was freshly cooked and tasty. Our mains of butter chicken and lamb rogan josh were equally good. Service was friendly and mostly prompt but our starters took more than 30 minutes to show up. The staff did apologise to me citing a 'stuff-up' they had in the kitchen. We were on holiday so not in any hurry. Would definitely go back again!
I am a frequent diner at Jo's and was there with the family just last Friday. I find the food to be delicious. My faves are the lamb skewers cooked in the tandoor for entree, and the goan fish curry for mains. The rest of my family are vegetarian and they really appreciate the selection Sacin offers, and the panneer is very tasty. Take away or dine in, this is one of our favourite places to eat in Bunbury.
Well you know what we just had a home delivery and it was just BONZER, keep up the good work guys! Recommended
Hey guy’s, great food (takeaway) tonight, was the best we have had, even the pappodams were good, spot on
Ordered food from this restaurant tonight. I have never been so disappointment by a restaurant's food before. The chili paneer was like as if they had put paneer in tomato ketchup. It was awfully sweet. In which world, Indian Chili paneer is sweet? The naans were good as compared to what you get in other restaurants in Bunbury. But the paneer just spoiled my evening. Never ordering anything from here again except the naans.
Loved the food.service was great.friendly staff.and very reasonable price.
5 in our group and each of us enjoyed and we will be back.
Poor quality food. We have Indian food on a regular basis in Perth and we cooked some dishes ourselves. The onion bhaji was not fresh. Was refried and was hard. As for the goat curry, supposedly to be their chef's signature dish; it tasted more tomato paste than spiced curry. The raita was watery greek yoghurt with no chopped up cucumber at all.
The only good thing is the waitresses were good and were very attentive.
Fantastic fresh authentic Indian food, beautiful interesting restaurant and friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Beautiful curries, attentive service (wait staff worked very hard to find our large party a seating when busy), and lovely character house setting. Highly recommended!
Cosy and relaxed atmosphere with tasty Indian food. We had dahl, butter chicken, korma (chicken and lamb), paneer, and naans. All recommended! Great kashmiri naan. We always try and come for a meal when we’re in Bunbury!
Walked in last night hoping for table. Staff bent over backwards to find a seat for us. The whole time apologising for keeping us waiting despite the fact we were just a walk in. The whole time we dined we noticed the staff never stopped. Always checking on the tables and always smiling. Our waitress Linda I think her name was helped us with the menu and took the time to explain various dishes to us. And the food was wow. Well done on a great resturant with great food. And nice to see it so busy when other resturants are so quiet. Your doing something right.
We ordered take away from Jo’s.
1. Chef’s special PANEER curry with was not fresh at all. Paneer was chewy and gravy tasted like uncooked tinned tomatoes.and it was very sour n runny.
2. Malai kofta gravy was better then Paneer but kofta were hard to break and not fresh.
3. Dal was much better then both curries we ordered.
4 In Jeera rice, jeera (cumin) itself was burnt which is one of the MAIN ingredients in this rice.
5. Roti n Naan were good.
6. Quantity was less. (take away containers were only half filled, Luckily!)
5 service was quick, we received food in 15mins.
Amazing every time! Take away or dine in. Staff are always accommodating and friendly. Food is portioned well, walk out feeling very satisfied:)
Thank you so much to all the staff!
