15 Have a really interesting selection of furniture, books, curios, records.
The owner is always so nice and patient when I visit with my daughter. And have found some great things over the years?
Very cool shop with lots of items. Be prepared for an extended stay while you browse as there is a lot to offer.
We where looking for a wardrobe and discovered this treasure of a store, like most things it was the last place we looked in, we where very ably assisted by one of the ladies and where made to feel at home.
I think I have found a second hand Aladdin's cave I would like to visit many times in the future.
Strange old lady behind the counter who refers to Aboriginal people as "natives". Felt like I was in the racist Swan River Colony of the 1960s or earlier.
Is your business an Antique shop or just a Museum.because some of the really interesting collectables are Not for Sale. When I simply enquired about an item behind the counter that interested me. The reply from the charming person was it's Not for Sale.
Price stickers on the grooves of records, empty sleeves, mismatched covers and records. Priced incorrectly. Avoid.
Requested the price of a plate from very grumpy elderly sales lady who very rudely informed me it was a Moorcroft plate (which I knew) and did not have price on yet but was "Very, Very Expensive". Looked me up and down and walked away. SO RUDE! I really loved it, but will never go back! Am sooo angry!
Asked to look at some records that were locked in a cabinet. The old cow just about fell off her chair. Said "they are collectables ".
Yes, we are MAJOR record collectors.
She looked at us like we couldn't afford them. So rude. Will never go back.
This place is a true treasure trove of amazing items from yesteryear. At the back of the shop you'll also find a collection, not for sale, of Wembley Ware (a locally produced table and decorative chinaware produced from the late 40s through to the early 60s). Make sure to have a good look through all the shelves and cabinets as there are some real treasures to be found here for very good prices. If you are wandering around this area of Guildford then stop by and have a look in at Jones of Guildford.
Lovely antique store that has been going strong for decades. A must see, absolutely gorgeous stuff! Something for everyone.
The things in there are incredible, the old crone however, is rude and unhelpful. Needs to relearn some manners.
Super unfriendly staff here. If you ask to look at anything in the glass cabinets - say, overpriced records - expect a song and dance to get it out - then to have it snatched back literally the second you’ve looked. Not sure if they actually want to sell anything. Very strange offputting experience.
We love coming in this store and browsing around, occasionally coming across some beautiful peices to add in our home.
The lady who is usually in the store is very helpful n polite.
One of my favourite antique places to go in Perth. This is a treasure trove of goods and I love all the crockery and glassware they have on hand. Good news too for those with prams - you can carefully manoeuvre a pram in there. It’s just big enough.
What a place to wander through for a trip through time. Love this place and the staff are really helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
