Absolutely bloody lovely - perfect snapper and chips. Young lads working there were courteous and working hard, will come back.

Best value and quality. The staff are friendly, even when under the pump. Order the seafood basket, amazing value here. You will not be disappointed.

We have been getting fish and chips around once a month from Johnny’s for well over 10 years and have never been disappointed. The quality and portion size is consistently good.
Their popularity, particularly on Friday evenings can result in a longer that usual service time and they usually close for a few weeks over the Christmas period but these really just add to the feeling of getting food from a local place.

Really good fish & chips. Good service. Handy that they've got several tables there (both inside & outside) so you have the option of enjoying the chips fresh and crispy.

Was told it would be a 10 minute wait, we waited 45 minutes for soggy half cooked food.
This isn't the first time we've had a problem with the food and the wait time was hoping this last time would be better.

Unfortunately we won't be back after being customers for 9 years.

Fish is a Slopy mess. Batter just fell loose of the fish.with no taste unfortunately. I threw it out in the bin. A good Fish & Chips is when the Fish Batter is Crunchy and stays on the fish. And the Fish has flavor. Chips however were nice and crunchy.

My family and I are regulars at Johnny once every 2 to 3 months. Thank you for the excellence food and service.

I would highly recommend people to dine in to get hot and crispy fish and chips. We actually bring our chilli sauce and tartar sauce to go with it. Wine glasses available.

I'm not a fish & chips lover but this place is a killer the best I ever had. Thank you guys

Fish, prawns, chips 5/5, very very good, couldn’t beat it. Service
1/5, ordered verbally 4 times at counter, young guy just kept getting it wrong - I then helped him write order, I’m starting to get concerned. An assistant cleaning up was laughing and shaking his head at colleague. Asked if I wanted salt and vinegar and I said I will do that at home as we are not getting on well re order. Was paying with $50 note (in hand held out) but got presented with card machine which I pretended to swipe with my $50 note as it was ridiculous. Then as picking up food I’m one portion short to be told they had put with my fish order - I explained the single chips were for someone who doesn’t eat fish …
I just said thanks, Jonny’s won I lost.

Great traditional style shark & chips. Perfect serving size. Will definitely buy takeout again.

I have had it for years and tried many other fish and chips, and I haven’t found one that’s better than Johnny’s.

Loved it! Great fish (very fresh) and chips at great prices. Little dine-in area is nice and retro and full of locals enjoying their meals. Highly recommend

The grilled Fish is absolutely amazing. Always get a wedge of lemon. Cooked perfectly. The chips are never oily. Solid 10/10 quality fish and chips.

Horrible food, Totally overcooked squid rings, Chips taste like 3 week old oil. Fish portions are small, Crab stick looks very sad. Way too overpriced

What have you done
We've had 2 meals in a row now that have been terrible.
The fish batter isn't staying on the fish and the fish size is half to what we use to get.
The fish cakes have non existent potato in them now and last nights were so overcooked i couldn't eat them.
I don't mind the chips being a smaller serve, that's fine.
Whoever has taken over is not doing themselves any favours by changing everything like this.
Last nights was oversalted also.so disappointed, we've been coming here for years and years

Discovered this awesome fish & chip shop tonight! Seriously the best fish & chips I’ve had in a very long time. No thick, greasy batter, soggy chips or tasteless food. Top quality food, will definitely be back, thank you!

Best fish I've had in ages! The fish on Friday nights are slightly weaker on other days though.
