34Customer service not the best, my sales contract stated 12 months registration, when I took delivery of the car it only had 6 months registration, I was than told by the salesman to contact them when rego renewal was due, I have tried twice by email and once by phone and left a message for the salesman to return my call, with no response at all. Looks like I'll have to drive all the way to the dealership to get this problem resolved.
Purchased Amarok from JH Volkswagen recently, Scott Dalby was our salesman and was very helpful and efficient. Very happy with after sales service when a small dent we had not noticed previously was repaired promptly and without question, also media head unit ended up having issues within first few days and was replaced, again without fuss, a similar loan car provided to us while they sourced and replaced head unit which did take few days. Overall very happy with customer care and service here with Scott.

Found parts and labour cost to be extremely expensive. $189 P/hr for labour is crazy. Also parts cost me $1000 when aftermarket would cost $220.
To make matters worse after getting a $1000 service done the car wasn't even washed, it was much dirtier than when I dropped it off!
I see no value in coming here ever again.
Edit: The dealer made contact and offered a full detail on my car which sorted my dirty car issue.
10/10 service from Ben, he really went above and beyond. Highly recommend getting a car from these guys.
I would like to thank Mr Nick Phelps for his professional service today in regards to my T6 Van service. My major service was done before time and at the cost quote. Nick has helped me out before when I had a oil leak from the gear box which occurred just out of warranty. He is always courteous and efficient and is the main reason I have returned to John Hughes for my service requirements. Lindsay M
DON'T EVER GO HERE. The worst experience ever, I cannot believe how badly John Hughes has treated us, they have had our car for 4 months - 2 weeks ago they received full payment and the car only drove for 200m before breaking down again. We still don't have our vehicle and they are demanding more money to repair it.
Highly recommend this dealership. While not everything went smoothly throughout the purchasing process, I appreciated the way the John Hughes team responded to any challenges and took responsibility where appropriate. After signing contract the dealers increased price of car by 2 grand. Would recommend going to another dealership where they are more honest.

We had a fantastic experience with Ben Haley from John Hughes Volkswagen. We were in the market for a new family car and landed on the 7-seater VW Tiguan Highline. Service was genuine and you could tell Ben was passionate about his job, the ins and outs of the different models and what benefits / challenges each one had in relation to baby car seats etc! Ben as a parent made our conversations very relatable and this helped with decision making. COVID-19 certainly presented a few hurdles in terms of getting the car we purchased in a timely manner! Ben tried all avenues to expedite the international transport of our car safely and in line with border controls. Communication was transparent and honest. He provided weekly updates and forwarded emails to us direct so we could track our car and delivery date. John Hughes is the first name that comes to mind for us when we need to buy a car. This is our fifth time purchasing a car from John Hughes and we always have consistent and professional service.
Phenomenal experience. Scott has certainly restored my faith in car sales. My husband and I have had multiple negative experiences from other dealerships. Scott was easy going, honest, presentable and the list can truely go on.

Had a problem with a car we were selling had no books. Contacted them by email and Stephanie Mehrtens helped us out. Was one of the best experiences I have ever had with any dealership. She was a joy to deal with and very helpful to resolve our situation. She definitely deserves a raise!
Fancy on the outside (free coffee etc) but not much behind it in terms of providing value. It is expensive to service your car, and impossibly expensive to get diagnostics done once you're out of warranty. I had three minor issues I flagged and just to check it out they wanted a couple of hundred dollars for each! Find yourself a local mechanic you trust instead
