Jellybeans Child Care Wellard

Our daughter's experience here was wonderful, she was always excited to attend. We are very grateful for the care and education provided by the management and staff at jellybeans, Wellard.

Started using Jellybeans about 5 years ago for my son and found them really good, the carers were really engaging and you could see they cared about the kids, the place was clean and I felt comfortable leaving my son there. Contrast that with our more recent experiences when our daughter attended. Cleanliness took a nose dive, my daughter would regularly come home in a dirty nappy, red raw from nappy rash. We were buying socks and shoes for her on a regular basis and they would constantly go missing. She would come home in other kids clothes despite having plenty of changes of clothes in her bag. Prices constantly going up and the quality of service plummeting. She seemed to have a new carer every few days. The end came when we got a phone call to tell us our daughter had been left unsupervised in her room for an indeterminate amount of time. Only realised when a parent came to tell them. We got a phone call and initially they tell us it was for no longer than 2 minutes, next thing they say we've investigated it and it could have been 10 minutes, in the end they said it could have been up to 20 minutes which basically confirmed they didn't have a clue how long she was there. We were lucky that the other parent found her. To add insult to injury it wasn't even the centre manager who called us to tell us and when we tried to have a sit down with the manager to discuss what was going on she was nowhere to be found, any time we tried to contact her she wasn't there, had gone home early and ignored any requests for a call back. We felt helpless as there aren't a lot of available options for places in other childcare centres but leaving her there was no longer an option. It is my understanding that the centre now has a new manager so I hope for the sake of the families that use their facilities that their standards improve but my daughter won't be going back.

6-12 months ago, I would have given this place a 5 star. My son had been in since January 2022 (nursery) and we loved it. I have since removed my child from the centre in the last month as there was a lot of concern and worry leaving him there while I went to work. Management do not listen (they tell you what they think you “want to hear”) but don’t listen. The cleanliness is concerning and the staff turn over is very bad (6-7 staff resigning and going to other local centers in a matter of 2 months). I was constantly asking about their child to educator ratio, if they were compliant it would have only been just and probably based on “under roof” and not by room. That’s just the start of my list. I don’t recommend sending your child here till they make some big changes.

Both my kids have gone through here. Excellent staff; great, well maintained facility; convenient; focus on service; attentive care, and structured education have been my experience. Highly recommended.

Not very positive experience with the centre. Miss communication between staff and parents, things got missing, second week lost hat and third week lost milk bottle, when asked they found hat but couldn’t get milk bottle. Photos only being uploaded on application after personally requesting multiple times not as per promised, felt like child being neglected. Overall disappointed.

Staff are friendly, receptive & provide excellent care to the children. Centre policies keep the kids' safety as their top priority despite some challenging issues during the pandemic. I highly recommend this team.

Honestly I can’t say enough about this centre, these girls are all so hardworking and u can clearly see that they love being around children and they put them first every time. Our girl has been with this centre for over a year and a half and Annie, Emily, Mikenzie, Sharon just to make a few have become a big part of our family by giving our daughter the best care possible and supporting her learning and development! Thank you so much girls ️

Absolutely amazing centre! The staff are nothing short of amazing and supportive. Can not recommend them enough for the love, care and support they give the children in their care, as well as their families.

Lovely educators but management need an overhaul. Used to be really good a couple of years ago but several changes in management recently has changed the vibe. Assistant manager needs a course in customer service, seems bothered whenever you interrupt her to ask something! Negative vibes has made me now look elsewhere unfortunately

Love this centre! The girls are amazing and so caring. Just want to give a shout out to Chloe Cole who went out of her way to help me this morning! My daughter was being really difficult and didn't want to go into her class. Chloe came to the rescue and helped comfort her and take her off me so i could rush off to work. She truly is an angel and I just wanted to let her know that her assistance didn't go unnoticed! People like Chloe are the reason we love Jellybeans! Keep up the good work!

Isla is always so excited to come to jellybeans, knowing that she loves the educators and is so happy throughout the day makes being a working mum so much easier!

We could not be happier with Jellybeans Wellard. From the inquiry stage, Steph and Jess were always friendly, helpful and reassuring. This is the feeling of this centre. All of the ladies are always so happy and our 21 month old just loves going to "school" everyday. The activities are based on the curriculum and our son has developed in leaps and bounds. The centre itself is beautiful and they are constantly changing the rooms to keep the children stimulated. The Xplore app is great, to have constant updates, photos and videos, throughout the day is brilliant. I can't thank the ladies and management of this centre enough. Thank you for creating a safe learning environment that our son loves to go to. This has made my transition back to full time work, a lot easier.

My daughters both go to jellybeans wellard and they love it here! They are always warmly welcomed and you can tell the educators are wonderful loving people who are passionate about childcare. Sara and Stephanie in the front office go above and beyond to help in any sort of way. Best childcare around!

Due to my work hours my daughter as at the centre pretty much right on opening times and the girls are always happy and welcoming at drop off, She loves going to daycare and the educators in her room adore her! Knowing she is so comfortable with her educators definitely made going back to work that little bit easier.

Would definitely recommend jellybeans wellard!

Educators are friendly and genuinely care about your child’s development and growth. I will recommend this day care to everyone I know and people in the area. The chef prepared meals gives me a piece of mind knowing my child is getting meals prepared onsite. Happy so far with the service being provided. The families at the daycare are also nice and friendly so that’s an added bonus.

Isla is in the nursery and she loves it at jellybeans! The educators are genuinely excited to see her when she arrives and every time I pick her up there are always educators interacting with the children! The photos I receive daily are an added bonus - I love seeing how happy she is throughout the day and makes it so much easier dropping her off knowing I will get updates throughout the day

It's a very good day care center around the area, i am very happy to send my little one there, without a second thought.
She absolutely loves going there.

My son has be going to this centre since it opened early 2017 and he absolutely loves it! It is a purpose built centre so the facilities are amazing. It has a very light & fresh feel and my son especially loves the outdoor play area. Foodwise - they have a qualified chef, who has convinced my son to try things he refused at home! She takes the time out of her day to greet us every morning. The staff are very friendly and the communication is excellent - we love the KindyHub app which allows us a glimpse into what they do each day. Tegan, my son’s room leader, is awesome! The centre manager, Sara, goes above and beyond and really makes the place what it is. My school-aged daughter attended during her holidays and is always begging to go back! Highly recommend this centre to all!
