It is probably to no ones surprise that this is hands down one of the best and unique Japanese restaurants in Perth. There is endless praise for the place so here are some of the cons:
- It is almost essential to book as there are not a lot of seats
- This might have been due to the Osaka French Toast, but be ready to wait for some time for the food. Our wait was about 50 minutes.
- If there is a breeze, be prepared to be greeted with small tree debris as they try to make their way to your meal for those sitting outside.

If you happen to come here, the food is most definitely worth the wait. Especially if you eat indoors.

So happy to find this gem nor, staff are very friendly and food was really yummy. We had the match latte, korean fried chicken burger, tokyo plate and strawberry shortcake. Everything was delicious and I can't wait to come back to try the earl grey cake and Sesame latte which both looked amazing! Definitely recommend.

Love the concept of this Japanese cafe! Definitely worth the trip up to Joondalup to try their menu as most of the items are pretty unique and can't really try anywhere else.

Small dining area, but the outdoor seating next to the quiet strip really makes the dining experience more enjoyable and relaxing!

Fantastic cafe, really amazing food. The Salmon Sushi Burger is a really great meal, the brown rice really tasty! The bowls are also great. Would also recommend the KFC (Korean fried chicken) burger, it is very well made. Very kind staff, very quick service and always super nice. Food isn't too expensive either, and the cafe is never too busy!

A small Cafe with great food and service. My wife has been here quite a few times and always has good things to say about this place. I got the opportunity to come here today and was well impressed. We both had the Bulgogi egg Benedict. It was a huge feed, the flavours were really good. Coffee was very nice too. I'll be back to try the Croffle (croissant waffle) next time.

Fusion type Japanese restaurant in a quiet neighbourhood strip of shops. Very small, seating 24 with only 4 tables of 2 inside and the rest outside on the footpath. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, they moved their table set up inside for our party without any fuss. The menu is pretty small, but the dishes we tried were delicious. Instagrammable looking and tasty. We had the tofu and vegetable tempura Udon. The tofu was battered and fried and the tempura was like shredded onion and vegetable fritters. There was also broccoli, mushroom and seaweed in the soup. The chirashi poke bowl was rice with assorted finely chopped seafood, tobiko, edamame, and sweet egg on the top, it comes with a spicy dressing. Salmon sushi burger is raw salmon slices on cabbage slaw inside a crispy rice "bun" wrapped in Nori. Order and pay at the counter. They've just started offering some new Japanese style desserts we tried the matcha adzuki roll cake. Their sesame milkshake was very nice and not very sweet.

When people ask me, have I been to Japan, I would be lying if I said no. Whilst I have not travelled to the land of the rising sun in my physical vestments, spiritually I have stood in a gentle rain beneath the grandeur of Mt. Fujiyama, counting the Cherry Blossom's as they fall. How you ask?
'Tis simple. Every taste and flavour masterfully crafted in Cafe OEC sushi is an escape from the mundane into the peaceful serenity of Kanazawa Garden, or the blissful culinary indulgence of the Kyushu region. Depart from the road oft travelled and step into sanguine repose as the staff at OEC welcome you in their abode; all are welcome and all are met with the love, respect and joy exuded by craftsmen who have found their singular purpose, to bring joy to the world through the power of their craft.

Can't say enough nice things about OEC, the food is spectacular, a visually stunning and tasty fusion of Japanese and Western.
Phone ahead to reserve a seat during lunch times as it's small and very popular. You won't be disappointed with the food.

We came here for a catch-up lunch. My first time visiting.
While the venue and menu are small, they make up for it in character and flavour.
We sat outside and shared the KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) burger, Katsu Curry and Croffle. All were pā ked with flavour and delicious.
I also had the watermelon soda, which is a must.
Will definitely be back.

It's a quaint little cafe with a few inside tables and some outdoor tables. Seating a large group would possibly be tricky but I never asked about it. The food was absolutely delicious. Every bite of my Tasmania Bowl was flavourful. We didn't talk much when eating because we were all enjoying our meals. It was our first time and we all said we'd go again.

This small shop is our favorite Japanese cafe in Perth. No matter how busy they can get on weekends, their foods and coffee always come out perfect! I love a Soeul Bow and Cappuccino for brunch on Sunday morning.

This hidden gem in Joondalup delivers a Japanese and Korean fusion menu like no other. Perhaps we didn't order the best items on the menu during our first visit, but we still very much enjoyed the Osaka French Toast with cornflakes, maple syrup, condensed milk and a choice of ice cream ($19), and the crunchy-on-the-outside and tender-on-the-inside katsu chicken in the form on a sandwich, complete with a perfect fried egg ($16).

A few days later, I had the soft shell crab burger ($19) and tempura prawn bao buns ($10.50). They were tasty, but a little too greasy for my liking, and I didn't love the apple and cabbage slaw. Would definitely still return to try the sushi burgers!

Really disorganized. My husband and I ordered 1 special udon and a burger with juice. Mine (udon) came first and his food came more than 20mins after. I would understand around 5-10mins but 20mins? I don't think it is right

It is my favourite Japanese place in Perth. The staff are really friendly here and the food is amazing, oh and also the drinks!
The staff put a lot of effort into their service and that should be appreciated.
They were understaffed today I think as service was a little slow but it was honestly worth the wait. I do suggest booking as it gets rather busy.

Fancy schmancy japanese food, great service great food, the place a bit small tho but it’s worth it, parking is scarce sometimes. You need to come at the right time, otherwise you’ll be needed to wait for your seats

My favourite Japanese cafe in Perth! A hidden gem located in Joondalup run by some amazing people. Always has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere, and when the food comes out you know you have started your day right.

The Tokyo Plate and Softshell Crab burger are absolute favourites! Although you would be hard pressed to find anything on the menu that isn't absolutely delicious

This place is unreal, the food is beautiful and really well presented. So glad we found this little place for a Sunday breakfast. Their bulgogi beef and french toast are my favourites. Highly recommend
