Jacksons Drawing Supplies Pty Ltd. reviews
25What a great place always find what I need and more and the staff are always so friendly and will always go back
Such a great experience in the Balcatta store today!
Marina and Ella were SO helpful and generous with their technique and product knowledge. Genuinely engaged with my project/ ideas and even gave me a list of brilliant WA artists to inspire me further.
You guys rock! Thanks!?
Outstanding support and help. Marina is a very passionate artist and an asset to the company. Loved it!
Great shop with lots of options. Staff member, whilst she was trying to be helpful, was assumptive rather than asking an open question about what we were trying to achieve.
Vary disappoint on how I was treated by the manager considering I spent a lot of money there will never go back there the staff where lovely
I phoned them to see if they had what I needed. I have family who highly recommend them. They were great over the phone and extremely helpful but unfortunately didn’t stock what I needed.
I was in and out in 5 minutes. I was in a rush. The lady was great. She showed me exactly what I needed to buy my stepmother a present and I was out the door in less than 10 minutes. It was fantastic. These guys are great. Highly recommend this store.
I never painted before. Gave me good advice and is helping me to get started. Good to be retired
We went with a grandaughter to find a birthday gift and what a great range to choose from. She was happy and so were we with the price. An enjoyable time with helpful staff
The best Jackson’s in the city. Big, spacious, helpful girls are working here. Great workshops.
I have been a customer of Jackson's since the 80's and love perusing all the bits and bobs dreaming up ways to use them.then reality hits The team there are incredibly helpful and friendly, and have so much knowledge about the products. Always my GOTO.
These guys totally saved my bacon.was after a zinc free glaze & my regular stockist had let me down. The ladies took their time with me, did a lot of research & we found a suitable glaze in store! Thank you so much.
Jackson's staff are always friendly and helpful and will arrange to bring stock in from another store although this may take some time. Their website is getting better but it's still not as good as some other art suppliers and it is often cheaper to buy from the eastern states if you're not in a hurry.
Very friendly and super helpful. I only visited for a short time to get what i needed. The staff were highly knowledgable and allowed me to get what i needed fast.my day was busy and the speedy service was welcomed.
I never knew this place existed. Which is probably a good thing or I would be very broke.with amazing art supplies
Very bad Business and customer service model. They may have kind of monopoly here in WA but should realise it doesnt last long, Had my second bad experience with the store at Balcatta store with wrong price label and the counter lady refusing to honour the pricing. Clearly the stack of pallette were put by the store with priced marked $13.50 but was charged $20.95. I would advise all art supply buyers to buy online from eastern states rather then going to this store. Also the labels are so badly marked with tiny tiny letters that even the service lady are unable to read. Very disappointed. Would avoid going to Jacksons Drawing supplies.
I’m not one to normally write reviews, but I had to give a shout out to the woman working at your Balcatta store at lunch time today. I’ve never received customer service like this before, it was by far and away the most rude and condescending experience I have had. Perhaps you shouldn’t work in customer service if you don’t want to help people. Apparently telling me if items listed on the Jackson’s website are available in other stores was a huge inconvenience and resulted in my being asked if I was looking at the right company’s website. For the record, I was, I can tell the difference between an Australian and UK based business website. I wanted to support a local business instead of buying something online but after this experience, I won’t be back at a Jackson’s store.
Accidentally bought a series 5 oil paint for $60 today, but didn’t realise until I was looking at my purchase 10 minutes later. When I realised I went back to the store approximately 25 minutes later for a refund and to purchase the more affordable approximately $13 yellow tube of oil paint, as I was just buying a few items to start my daughter off with her first foray into oil painting. I was then told that, even though they could see that I was genuine, they could only exchange the goods for other items to the same value. Apparently at the weekend no manager is available to authorise refunds. The assistant explained to me that many customers do the wrong thing and try to return used goods and that is why their policy is so stringent and why, even though I was deemed to be genuine and obviously hadn’t opened the paint, I was not able to receive a refund.
To add insult to injury I was told to be quiet by one of the assistants whilst she explained this. The other fair haired assistant suggested that a ‘proper’ artist would not make such a mistake (I have actually been an Art teacher for 22 years lol).
In short I came away feeling frustrated, belittled and disappointed. I will be definitely taking my business elsewhere in the future.
Some good products but more pricey than online art stores offering more supplies and SALES. Don't have a wide range of professional Art paper, which is very dissapointing. So I have to purchase brand sketchbooks from other countries.
Jackson's have a varied range of art supplies. The shop's layout is easy to follow and most of the products are clearly marked it have price lists nearby.
