Good food, no tap beers, but it’s in the middle of nowhere so to be expected. Service is friendly and prompt. Interesting bar collection, well worth a walk around while waiting for food or after you’ve eaten.

Brilliant little local town pub, nice food, friendly service, and stacks of old memorabilia. You could spend a whole day looking at different bits n pieces.

Limited dinner menu on blackboard but done well. Kids had nuggets and chips, and we sat out the back. Well worth a visit. Very friendly bar staff.

Had a few beers, ordered a pizza and watched the footy in an historic pub and classic town. Has great atmosphere and great service.

Great Australian outback pub. If you're able to check it out do so. You'll be pleasantly surprised by its size and ambience.

Supreme Pizza did not disappoint! Filled with toppings and very filling. Yum!

Old pub with lots of charm. Plenty of little knick knacks everywhere to keep you amused. Great meals and excellent bar prices.

4 of our employees stayed one night at the Iron Clad Hotel and they charged us double. In conversation with our travel team they became rude and hung up the phone and since then do not answer our travel teams calls. Shocking service and I would not recommend them to anyone unless you would like to be more out of pocket.

A great afternoon at the Iron Clad Hotel, was good to reconnect with the people we meet last year. The dogs Pip and Stella were ok being tried up at the front door to see us.

What a brilliant piece of AUSTRALIANA. Spectated the pool Comp on Friday night. A diverse mix of friendly staff and locals. Good food.

What a rustic great outback pub. Had a few bevies and Steak Sanger. Delicious and steak so tender. If your coming Marble Bar way please support local businesses.

So much potential at this hotel but we were so disappointed. We have been travelling remote locations for a year but never experienced price gouging like this and it seems unnecessary. It is going to drive the tourist out the door, not bring them in. Yes the hotel is quirky and has some character about it but we do not feel inclined to tell our friends to go visit.

Opening hours limited. Drinks are pretty expensive. Great atmosphere, pool table, table tennis and outdoor area.

Very basic pub with not a lot of character. Food & drinks ridiculously expensive. Give the place a miss. Try the travellers rest, good food & coffee at a reasonable price. Nice staff too

The prices are totally unrealistic for the very average quality of the food and surroundings.
To charge prices in excess of major capitals you have to at least equal the quality and ambience. Unfortunately the Iron Clad fails badly on both counts

Well where to begin?

Country pubs in oId historic remote locations tend to have limited clients with local populations of 300 people or so, one needs to take this fact into consideration before giving a review.

On the positive side, the accommodation at the pub is relatively new. Clean, modern and air-conditioned. 3 star.

That's the good news.

However this historic pub is a complete shemozzle when it comes to food and drinks. Prices are 5 star, food quality and service are 1 star.
We checked in as a work crew of 7 people for several days. Every person was very happy to leave, we all were adamant that we will never be back.

What a dog of a pub. It's the only pub in town, but the locals don't drop in.

Any one thinking of stopping by for a drink and meal - one word of advice.

DON'T.

Be warned, this place, especially the rude barmaid, is a nightmare! Visited here in late September whilst stopping overnight at the campsite, en route to Broome. Advertised meals weren’t available and there was nowhere else to eat or buy food in town after 5pm. The extremely rude and unfriendly barmaid wearing a donut t shirt (I don’t know her name) made us feel completely unwelcome and we left after one drink, going hungry all night until we reached the next town the following day. The barmaid made us wait to be served unnecessarily, even though we were at the bar waiting long before the FIFO boys in high-vis and old boy locals sat at the bar. When we finally got served, she looked my girlfriend up and down and rolled her eyes, tutting and was generally dismissive. The barmaid needs to show basic manners and customer service skills. So rude for no reason. Manners cost nothing. Please don’t rely on this place to eat dinner if you are hungry or are from out of town. Locals were served food and we weren’t. Worst welcome we have ever had in regional Western Australia and it wasn’t hidden that we weren’t welcome. We’ve told all of our friends and family and will never ever stop here again on our travels to the Pilbara or Kimberley regions. I would give zero stars if I could. Disgraceful

Pub had great feeds, ate the burger every night for about a week! Good old fashion country burger big and full of flavour

Fir the second night in a row had the most appalling experience with the barmaid at the iron clad hotel. Last night she was extremely rude and informed me she didn’t care what I did when I asked about ordering food. Tonight I rang and asked if I could order food over the phone. She said ‘NO you have to come in’ so we arrived at 6.30 and tried to order a pizza to be told ‘No pizzas. We’ve run out! ’. Extremely rude and officious. The hotel lost our business. We decided to do without dinner and didn’t spend the money we would normally have spent at this hotel. We are told that as tourists we should come out and spend our money and then you get this sort of attitude. Wake up Ironclad.
