I started with a Yin Yoga & Meditation class with Arooza on a Sunday. Four classes later, I joined her Wednesday classes too. After a month, her Saturday Meditation Study Group. And when she offered a 10-week Meditation Course, an introduction to meditation, I enrolled in that also. I’d do a class everyday if I could!

Why? Simple. After each class I feel absolutely better. I’ve heaped “thank you” upon “thank you” to Arooza, and she’s just as simply said I’m better “by default” - not because of her, but because “the very essence of the practice is healing” me.

I’m in my early 60s but have been suffering the aches and pains of my 87 year-old mother. When my mother was 60, she could do what I can’t now, like climb the stairs two steps at a time.

During the first few lessons I struggled on the mat: couldn’t bend my knees, sit in a butterfly position, keep my eyes closed, lie still. Now I’m more flexible and get so relaxed that I find myself yawning during the practice. On several occasions, after our goodbyes, I’ve even gone straight back to the mat and fallen into deep sleep (Sunday afternoon, Turin/Italy time!).

I don’t have that ever-present, nagging pain in my knees any more, and the back ache is easier to bear when it reappears. More importantly, I’ve learnt how to thwart some of my migraines by just breathing. Normally I’d take a pill at the earliest sign of an attack.

Meditation, learning about mindfulness, for example, is guiding me to recognise that I have a self I didn’t know is in me.

We don’t realise how much healing our bodies – and our minds – need. I'd told Arooza that life was so hard. She said, "Life's a game, you just don’t know how to play it. ” Well, with the practice, I'm acquiring the tools to re-build a healthier life.

Arooza is a genuine, wise and knowledgable yoga and meditation teacher. Her style of teaching Spirituality and yoga takes me so deep where I experience inner peace, stillness and bliss. Yet her style of teaching does not shy from keeping me grounded, mindful and focused on taking full responsibility for life with the aim being to grow and expand my awareness and question Who Am I? Highly recommend.

I wasn't sure if I'd be able to keep up in a yoga class because I've never done it before and not flexible at all but a friend convinced me to try it and now I'm hooked! Arooza's classes are slow paced enough that I can choose how far I want to push myself and have noticed a big difference in my daily life. I highly recommend anyone considering it to give it a go!

I cannot recommend Arooza enough. I was a complete newbie to meditation and yin yoga, so I didn't know what to expect, I wasn't disappointed. It is incredible for mind and body, if I could give 6 stars I would.
